Well I'm still here and haven't been to hospital! The appointment was made over the phone by the Clinic secretary and she said I'd get a letter confirming date. When I hadn't got by Monday I phoned and checked date and time. Yes 2.45 today 7th. Getting myself ready to go when post arrived and guess what, letter from hospital. Quickly read it to see time had been changed to 3.00. Thought nothing of it, but had another look and it was for next Wednesday 14th. Rang hospital, yes that's correct, appointment made on Monday. As you can imagine, I was not best pleased! What if post hadn't arrived before I'd left home? And how can an appointment be confirmed one day and changed the same day without calling to let patient know. I know the NHS is in crisis, but......
So I got OH to drop me in the next village on his way somewhere and walked back along the river and made most of beautiful sunshine! Feeling much more peaceful now!

Afternoon all

Weegranny , what a mix up, it’s a good job the letter arrived before you’d left the house !

Went to town this this morning with the cards in my handbag ready to see if any shops had ads in their windows but sadly no. I think I need to look out of the city centre, I know our local Tesco has a community notice board so I will try there tomorrow. I said to OH did he think it was a little too close to home but he pointed out that that particular Tesco is right on the outskirts of the city and a lot of the customers are from the surrounding countryside so we could get a lot of interest.
Its been no stop excitement today shopping wise, OH has brought a new wheel for his wheelbarrow and I brought some nice pretty gardening gloves, a big planter for the bamboo plant that desperately needs repotting this spring and a new matching washing up bowl and kitchen drainer . If things get any more exciting I am going to have to lie down in a darkened room.

Its very cold cold here today. We had a few light snow showers yesterday but it didn’t stick thankfully.

How very annoying WG, you could easily have left for your (non) appointment before the post arrived. I'm glad you had a nice walk.

OH went for a walk to the village this afternoon. I had to go a little further and went by car as it is so cold. I said I would look for her on my way back and pick her up if she wanted. She was waiting for me near Sainsbury's. She looked pleased to see me. I don't think she realised how cold it was! The 5 minute walk got her out anyway. as she has been inside since last Saturday.

Oh WG I bet you were cross. Well had a lovely outing with my friend, had lunch and a latte in Dunhelm Mill. Only bought odds and ends, very tempted by a little tub chair which would sit nicely by my patio door. But decided against as I had a cheeky sit in it and it wasn't very comfy to my mind, no back support and I need that when sitting. Hey ho will keep looking, may go for a winged chair. I have seen 1 or 3 I rather like. Came home about 3pm and tackled the ironing.All done and I decided to follow a tip I found on Pinterest. I ironed a set of bedding you then put it all in 1 pillowcase. Takes up less room and it's altogether when it's bed changing time. Gosh I am starting to scare myself with all this domesticity .

LIbra I also ordered tub chairs but, if you remember they didn’t come so I ordered the patterned one which I am pleased with. We were looking for a sofa as well originally and then when we couldn’t find anything we liked enough to spend on we bought the NEXT winged chairs and footstools. They were a lot of money and are very comfy but I said to husband a couple of days ago that I do miss not being able to put my feet on his lap when we are watching a film. Still never mind, not the worst problem in the whole world.

Morning all. It doesn’t seem so cold this morning but I haven’t looked out of the window to see if it’s raining or not.

Zizi and Libra we used to have a reclining chair . We brought it when I was pregnant in the hope it would help with a difficult pregnancy but it didn’t. If I reclined it one of two things would happen, I would get cramps in my legs or I would get horrible heartburn soI didn’t use it much until after my DD was born and then I used it a lot.
several years and sofas later we now have just one three sitter settee with two matching foot stools but I do miss the recliner .

Nan2 our bowl and drainer are cream which matches the kettle, blinds and pedal bin .I do like things to either match or blend in , comes from when we were first married and all donations we greatly received as setting up home doesn’t come cheap but the downside was not a lot of things matched . Before we moved into our first house we had brought a second hand red three piece suite, which , unbeknown to us the house we would eventually move in to had gold coloured walls in the sitting room we just had to live with it for a while which is now I like to plan my colours ahead.

Don’t have a lot planned for today, I will just see what the mood takes me .
