Qwerty, that is so sad. I'm sorry and sending ((HUGS)) to you. The only positive seems to be that the end wasn't dragged out.

OH went back to bed but was up again when I got back from mums. Hopefully the roast chicken will tempt her appetite!

So sad about your neighbour Qwerty but his suffering is over now. Remember the good times, I'm sure you have lots of happy memories. 💗

Hope S is feeling better Gem and Daisy how are you. It is bitterly cold here today but dry and sunny. Got all my bedding out on the line and dry enough for ironing. What is it about chicken today, we are having it as well. Followed by home made rice pud.

Qwerty - so sad for you to hear about your neighbour. Sending you a big hug, and condolences to his wife - it sounds as though they had been together a long time.

We had chicken breasts done in parcels last night and I'm doing cottage pie tonight - plus home made rice pudding! LG it must be this cold weather!

I pushed the sucky up thingy around a bit this morning then we took Eva up to the paddock for a run - boy, was that wind cold! - and she was a monster chasing round after everything she could see beyond the fence, so we gave her time-out in the car. Then DS2 and family arrived with Cooper for his first run off the lead. He was brilliant and totally loved having a run round, but he kept coming back when we called him, so we let Eva out again, but it was too much for her. She was so over-excited that we had to put her back in the car - After two years of hard work it felt like Day 1 again!

Gem - I hope OH enjoys her chicken dinner tonight.

Clover - I bet that walk blew the cobwebs away if it was as windy as it is here.

Nanto and Oma - I hope you're both tired enough to have a better night tonight.

WeeGranny - drinking fizz first thing in the morning - that's a good way of warding off the cold!

Have I missed any of Enfys's updates on her OH's progress? Hope he's ok.

                      Good Monday morning everyone.

Nanto - glad you had a better night. I hope the others did too.

There's been a frost overnight, but it's bright and sunny here at the moment. I hope it lasts - we can do without the white stuff.

Qwerty - I'm glad your neighbour has got her DD with her, and I'm sure they appreciated you chatting via text, too. xx

We're going to take Eva back to the paddock today, to see how she goes, then I've got to pick GD2 up from playgroup, get Cooper from the shop and then at 4.30 take Cooper back to the shop and collect GD1 and take them home for tea. This is their last Monday evening puppy class - the next class (Cooper's got promotion!) is on a Wednesday, so Monday goes back to normal. After half term, that is!

Gem - I hope S is feeling better today.

                        Good morning all.

Don't send the snow here Nan2!

Your neighbour will be glad of her DD Qwerty, we all need someone at these times.

OH is a bit better. Her back aches a lot which is quietly worrying us both, but I hope it is just a combination of stained muscles with coughing, and all of the enforced sitting and lying around, as she is normally very active.
We are supposed to be going to the pub in the village tonight with a group of friends, someone's birthday A meal then doing the quiz. I think it will do her good if she feels up to it. We shall see.
I have a client to go to at 4.30.

Have a good day everyone. I hope poorlies are all on the mend, and Mr Enfys gets home today.

Gem - coughing is very hard on muscles and as you say S hasn't been as active as she usually is. I know it's easy to say 'don't worry' but I'm sure she'll start to feel better in a few days, and a night out will do you both good. xxx

Jack frost been here too Daisy, nice and sunny atm. Not usually on here so early but neighbours must be having some work done, it sounds as if they are in my loft.

Hope Eva behaves herself in the paddock today Daisy, she is quite a character.

Hope all the poorly ones are feeling better today, my Sil is still feeling so weak and tired.

Bowls for me today, have to turn up a pair of trousers for GD1, must put my mind to that. I am not very happy doing things like that for other people now, so afraid I will get it wrong.

Very cold and frosty here, but the sun is shining. Hope Eva behaves herself at the paddock Daisy. Shiloh has been having a rebellious phase, refusing to go back on the lead after his exercise 😱 Going to put him on a long line until his manners return. Gem I think the pain S is suffering is due to all the coughing, best to check for a chest infection though. Qwerty hope both you and your friend had some sleep, she is blessed to have you as a friend and support. Right time to hunt out the thermals for our walk. Enfys how is hubby. Keep warm everyone.

Back from Dental Hospital , He has a dry socket that is causing all the pain so its been packed with that horrible antiseptic stuff , they said it will dissolve itself and put him on antibiotics , he said it feels more comfy at the minute .
