Bled a lot but two strips to nip it together and its ok , going to have a canny bruise though , the sound of it cracking o the corner of the door was awful Qwerty
Oh poor B Oma.Heads always bleed so much.Glad you got him patched up nicely. At least he’d done the pies first.
It looks as though some of you are going to be really busy with family today so enjoy every moment. If a quieter day is on the cards relax and enjoy some “me” time.
Joining the family for a meal today, I promised to make an apple pie so I had better get a move on. Didn't get to sleep much before 1.00, there were so many fireworks going off.
Oma you have to stop hitting your husband

I have been to supermarket, made the coconut tarts and some cheese straws with the left over pastry, made the beef casserole, taken down the cards and am just about to clean bathroom. I am going to leave proper cleaning kitchen until tomorrow lunchtime as I still have baking and cooking to do. I am going to change the bed linen this afternoon and try to make the spare room look a bit less cluttered. I need to get a bottle of fizz or two from the wine rack as well. I will put it in the shed overnight as there is not enough room in my fridge, I have never been happy with that fridge freezer but it is integral so I am stuck with it.
oh I have to do my nails as well....
If you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far go together
I'm a bit too late to say 'good morning'. I haven't just got up, and no hangover (who'd suggest such a thing!!, Qwerty!! ) In fact I was up before 9, dressed, and out feeding our neighbours' cats. One of our friends had stayed overnight to save her driving after NYE, so we sat and chatted over breakfast, and OH and I have just sat down and watched the news.
Oma - poor OH. That looks very sore!
The sun's shining here, so we may take Eva out, but she's shattered after last night, so may be not!! No other plans - it will be nice to have a quiet day.

Me and my big mouth!!!
We were just having a sandwich for lunch when the phone rang. DS2 and family had cabin fever, could they come over. It was lovely to see them, and Eva roused herself enough to play with Cooper. So we had a lovely afternoon - but not quite the one we'd planned.

Well had a lovely afternoon with all my family and friends they came between 2 & 2.30 and left at 6
So we set too cleared up washed dishes and started taking the decs down , we have just finished and I'm going to make a cup of tea and a sandwich ,
Why when you host a get together you never actually get anything to eat ? I spent most of my time giving out drinks making tea and coffee and chatting I forgot to get anything !!!
Sitting room looks bare now but its all done thank goodness .
Hope everyone has had a good day xxx
Happy new year to you, too, Avo. I bet the cobwebs have been well and truly blown away with a seaside walk! How lovely - a January holiday to look forward to.
Oma - glad to hear you've had a good afternoon - I usually end up snacking as I'm sorting out the leftovers after a family gathering! You just don't have time to eat while everyone is there.
I'll be glad to get out decorations down tomorrow as well.

Had a lovely roast dinner with DD and family, SIL still not right. Our little Elf came too with his parents, he loved my apple pie. I am intending to take what decorations I have down tomorrow but I always leave the cards for a bit longer.

I'm sure it will be a lovely one for Zizi, having the GC there
Avo, I am envious of you heading for some sun!
Nan2, the brollly on your post will be needed where I live later this morning, rain forecast again.
Glad you had a good day Plant and I hope poor SIL is soon better, these thinks can drag on.
I hope Glamma is feeling a bit brighter today.
We had a lovely day yesterday. Buffet (hot and cold) was well received, especially by SIL who is a very good eater. No idea how he stays so slim! GD was a delight as always, and we played Dobble and Exploding Kittens card games when GS napped. GS2 was as cute as ever and is my shadow these days. This has gone on for several months now. If I am about he wants to sit or lean on me, or take my hand and lead me around! I put my coat on to take my mum home at the same time as they were leaving. He took my hand and thought I was going with them, so cried bitterly when he went in one car and I in another I realise I should have waited until they left, as it misled him!
Nothing much planned today. OH will be on the (wet) golf course soon. I must type up the minutes of the last meeting, which I have not even looked at since, Heaven knows if I will make any sense of them!! I can also catch up on the Christmas Dr Who, as OH doesn't watch that.
It would be better to do some physical activity rather than these seated ones. However it is wet. Tomorrow is another free day, so we will get out and about, whatever the weather!
** What is with you all taking all these decorations down?? Has no one but me heard of twelfth night??!!!
