Avo - I bet that beef melted in the mouth!

So lunch at Avo's, afternoon tea at Clover's - not a bad day!

Gem - we could all end up at Clover's at this rate - we're threatening her with a visit if we take the caravan over to her part of the world!

Oma - your MIL will think she's walked into the wrong house at this rate.

Plant - your poor SIL will need some time to recover his energy - he's been so poorly.

We had a lovely time at DS1's. Both GS's seem to have shot up since Christmas! GS2 went to a trampolining park with his friends yesterday and for a pizza afterwards, plus a sleepover. Both boys were really tired today - I don't think the sleepover featured much actual sleeping! The new baby is an absolute darling - with a mop of curly hair. I'll post a photo tomorrow. We got home about an hour ago and we're both exhausted. I'm off for another early night! I've still got a sore throat but it's no worse, and I have been talking a lot. OH did well, although he looks pale and tired now. A quiet day for him tomorrow.

Sleep well everyone. I wanted to reply to a few more posts but the internet's so slow again and I can't get back to reread the previous page!

              How is everyone this morning?

              Enfys how is hubby

              Glamm how things ?

Yesterday we were busy in the unusually mild day for January. I washed the small wooden grow house out , tidied up the plants I have stored in there lightly forked some of the planters that have bulbs coming through and hoed a few of the boarders.

Later in the afternoon we went for a walk and I wish I hadn’t! Half way I began to feel very uncomfortable, I could hardly breathe and my legs had become very tired and heavy, When I got home I was exhausted. It took me several hours just to get warm and I felt very flu ‘like’ which is a nuisance as I have had my flu vaccination
I’m not feeling 100% at the moment but not as bad as yesterday. OH is already nagging me to go to the Drs but he is the sort of person who looks at every headache and mild rash on the Internet and decides that his days are numbered,

              Have a lovely Monday everyone

                Good morning everyone.

That sounds a good day yesterday Daisy.

I don't know if I have Daisy's sore throat, but yesterday when at my mums it felt very dry and I had to keep clearing my throat. I put it down to the combination of moving lots of dusty-ish things for her, having to go up and down stairs multiple times and the fact that all the time I am with mum I have to shout, which always puts a strain on my delicate little throat! However it feels no better this morning, a sort of burning feeling in my trachea. Ho hum!
Nothing much planed today apart from the mammogram late afternoon. We had thought of going to the cinema for the half price Monday, but I may just stay at home and feel sorry for myself!

I hope you soon feel better Mimi, and hope everyone is doing well today.

                  Good morning everyone.

My sore throat is not better, no worse, so I think I'll survive the day! I need to do a few chores this morning, then I'll collect GD2 from playgroup just after lunch and look after her and GD1 after school until Mum and Dad get back from puppy class about 630! OH slept well but I'm hoping he'll have a quiet day after yesterday. He generally bounces back from any illness quite quickly, but the danger is that he thinks he's 100% better and does too much! I shall have stern words before I go out!

I've been wondering about Enfys' OH and how Glamm is getting on.

Mimi - it sounds as though you overdid things yesterday. Even though it felt milder it was probably still quite cold, and I think every physical activity is harder in colder weather. I hope you can take it easy today. but if you don't feel better perhaps you should go to the doctors - even if it's too put your OH's mind at rest.

Gem - I hope your sore throat is just the accumulation of talking loudly, stirring up dust and (I guess) a bit of anxiety about your mammogram this afternoon. If I were you, I'd stay at home and rest - and give yourself a little treat, even if it's just sitting in a comfy chair with a cup of coffee and a good book. xx

Nanto - it's quite mild here, too, with just a bit of a breeze. I'd like to get out and do some tidying in the garden but won't have time until Wednesday.

Oma - I meant to say in my earlier post - it looks as though you didn't get much sleep last night! I hope you're ok today. xx

Your DD is doing the right thing in getting properly better before she goes back to work. I was talking to a friend yesterday and we both think that people don't take illness seriously enough these days. If you're poorly your body needs to rest and it needs time to recover properly. It sounds as though she is being sensible and doing the right thing. Sending her best wishes, xx

Now, please don't insist B goes to the baby clinic for his jabs - I know how naughty you can be!!! But just think how embarrassed you'll be if he has a toddler tantrum in the clinic!

Very funny Daisy, can just imagine it.

SIL a bit better but totally exhausted which isn't like him, he likes to exercise and walks or cycles, sitting around isn't good, there is a risk of a DVT.

I hope you are not going to get the dreaded lurgy Gemini and Daisy, keep warm and don't get too tired I think it lowers the resistance. Mimi too I hope you feel better today.

Damp and dreary here today but doesn’t feel so cold. DD arrived safely back home this morning after a long flight and I am just about to pop over to see her and hear all the news from down under 🙂

                          Update on DH on YEO.

Morning pals I’m back from a W/e of love, mess, noise and general chaos, I have been looking in to see if there was anything I should need to know, and although there was it didn’t need my immediate attention lol, I don’t know about anybody else but when I have had the kids especially over 2 dys I find when they have gone I just stop talking, don’t want to engage in conversation I just want to watch rubbish on tv let it wash over me takes me a few hours to come round 👩‍👧‍👦 Now as a reward we don’t have the children this week DS is taking the day off instead so an easy week for me compared , I have a docs app this aft I think I have a urine infection no change there so antibiotics will be The on the menu
Weather here is remarkably warm but it has rained so it’s quite damp now
Glad to hear DD arrived home safely Enfys bet you can’t wait to see her, will pop over after this to look at your update hope it’s good
Lordy ladies more poorly folk sounds like Daisy,Mimi and Gem are coming down with it now, OH and I have done really well so far, of course this will be the kiss of death but we have avoided all colds and flu so far despite snotty kids of various ages, and company of friends with the same also, we are usually the first ones to go down with stomach bugs etc hope it stays that way , hope Plants Sil will start coming round now perhaps he needs a tonic of some sort preferably with gin in it !!
Oma you DD is such a tiny girl it will have knocked her out, she won’t be thought any better of for returning to work, she needs another weeek to gather her strength back. By the way you were up pretty early I was on my 2nd wee by then roll on Botox
Good luck Gem with the mammogram I hate the things even though I know it’s for the best, I usually feel quite sick due to the discomfort of them always glad when it’s over
Hope all OH s are feeling more like themselves, eldest g\ d is still snotty but is better in herself think she may be at school today
OH has made a drink so will be back in a while 😃

Will these bugs ever have enough and leave us all alone.?
I hope those who have reported sick this morning don’t develope it into anything more than an “ordinary” cold you can cope with.

I heard yesterday that DS2 has been quite poorly. I was talking to DS1 and he had seen on Facebook that J was unwell. DS2 is not the best at keeping in touch so I rang him yesterday and he had to text me back as he has lost his voice. I do worry about him as he lives alone and if you are poorly and alone with no one even to make you a hot drink it must be awful.

G has dentist hygienist appointment this afternoon. They say his front teeth are loosening but he gets extremely irate when I remind him about why we are going and vehemently insists his teeth are okay. I’m not sure what they are going to do this afternoon .It’s very difficult sometimes. I feel since his virus he has taken a step backwards.Nothing I can do but I do have my moments when I feel so low and despairing. Sorry didn’t mean to get miserable on you.

Still overcast here but a bit brighter than it was.

Qwerty, I have never minded mammograms in the past . Although no fun, they are over quickly. With it being the first after the op you can't help worry, as they seem to attach a lot of significance to the first follow up one. Still, I had the radiotherapy, I am taking the hormone tablets, so all should be well

Clover, we are your friends, confide in us, none of us can be upbeat all the time. I do hope it goes OK for G at the dentist xx
