I may be mislead by her ear Daisy, it may be something else wrong. She s 18 and has only been seen by the vet once, which was when we were in America last March and she had cystitis. I will keep an eye on her and if needs be will ring an out of hours number. What an expensive poo that was of Clydes!!!
Whatever Clover is doing I'm sure she will be enjoying it

I do miss having a cat, we had five at one point and when we moved here we only had two left. My Georgie was nearly 25 when he went. I did ask the husband if we could get a couple of kittens in the New year but, as he pointed out if we are going to go ahead with long term Barbados holidays it would not be good to get pets. Hope your little friend is better soon Gem.

Daisy I have bought my Train the Trainer course which is EEK 400 hours! I have nearly finished my safeguarding course and plan, after the mammoth TTT course to do a teaching English as a foreign language course, it is called something else now ESOL which I think is English for Speakers of Other Languages. I used to do that years ago but am way out of practice so need a bit of retraining so I am going to be busy with work and courses.

Q I should be retired but the goal posts changed didn’t they? My own private pension went south when Equitable Life played silly beggars. Had it not I would be retired. As it is I will not have a big pension by any means but we have made arrangements but it means not retiring until age 66 (I am 62) although we are considering bringing it forward if things go according to plan. We will see what happens.

I've not done a lot to-day as I have been awake all night with the most awful cough and runny nose and to make matters worse every time I coughed I had a leak so up and down to the loo all night for this woman,I haven't had a bad cold in a long time and it has really knocked me sideways John seems to think it was travelling to Liverpool yesterday on public transport with everyone coughing and spluttering that has caused it,he may be right,I'm taking myself off to bed until to-morrow or possibly Monday as I feel so rough and out of sorts with myself.

Ladies you certainly are suffering from “senior moment “syndrome at the moment.Oma I’m glad the bag wasn’t lost and Zizi found her boots.

Well my mystery surprise turned out to be a matinee performance of Agatha Christies’s story “Witness for the Prosecution” It was held in the Council Chamber at London Couny Hall.It made a perfect theatre in the round and indeed resembled a real court room like the Old Bailey. I can’t remember reading the book so the ending with it’s intriguing twist was a real surprise. My DD and GD are fairly used to London and the various tubes and I was trotting around after them like a little dog.We were in good time for the train home where S I L had a lovely meal waiting.OH seemed to be alright but was glad to see me back.

Clover I love County Hall, it is so beautiful in most parts. I spoke at an event on diversity and inclusion re my disabled children’s holiday there a few years ago and I work with the education lady there sometimes. Glad you had a good time.

I have plenty of senior moments Clover, I put it down to having an over active brain.......

Clover - I'm so glad you had a lovely time. I haven't read 'Witness for the Prosecution' either! Even better coming home to a delicious meal. I'm sure G was fine, but of course he would be pleased to see you back home.

Glamm - poor you. Bed is the best place to be. I've heard of so many people have this really awful cold and cough and most of them have said they've needed couple of days in bed and still felt washed out.

Gem - we can't help worrying about our pets, can we. I do hope she's ok.

Nanto - it's very hard to go shopping without buying something, even if it's something small.

Plant - how are your poorly family today?

Brian;s German aunt's cat is 22 and she has a little set of steps covered in sheep skin to help her on and off the sofa now as she cant jump , she also deaf and wanders unsure if she been fed or not , even when she just has she will walk away then come back and check , She still manages to growl and hiss at any cats that come in the garden she's just unable to chase them now
                            She's called Mitzzy
