Oh dear, I seem to be having a run of 'odd' days where things don't go to plan! At least it's been sunny today and we even had lunch in the garden and had a cuppa out there with a neighbour who called round.

I got some washing dried too - our Duvalay covers which are heavy and cumbersome. A bit like having a duvet cover and a sheet sown together but they're so good for the caravan that it's worth it! Just need ironing now. I finally managed to speak to everyone involved to organise a late 80th birthday barbecue for a friend for this Sunday. They were away for her birthday, and we were away afterwards, but she loves barbecues and her OH doesn't do them.

I took Eva out for a long walk in the Forest this afternoon. It's the New Forest Show this week and the village and the camp sites are packed, so I was surprised how quiet it was out and about. We're not going to the show until the last day, Thursday, and I'm helping some friends on their charity stand for a couple of hours, but will also have time to go round the show - something I always enjoy.

Gem, I'm sorry to hear your friend T isn't well. It must be lonely for him if he can't get out much. I hope GS enjoys his trip to Glasgow, and you have had a good evening with your friends.

Nanto, that rose is beautiful. I'm sure I can even smell it! Did you enjoy your lunch at the pub?

Oma, I hope the hedgehog is ok, as well as the pigeon. It's a worry when they are out in the day-time, isn't it. Plant's right - Mrs Doolittle will need a sanctuary at this rate.

Plant, hasn't today been a lovely respite from all the showery weather we've been having. I'm sure I feel better and more energetic when the weather is good!

Another busy day tomorrow - dog training and then taking Eva over to DS2's for a sleepover so we can go to the NF Show on Thursday without worrying about her.

      A nice sunny morning.

      Nothing happening here today.

I want to change the bedding and get it washed. Hopefully it will stay fine and get it dried outside.
      Going to clean upstairs.

Salad for dinner, hubby's request. Probably have chicken goujons with it.

        Good morning ladies.

Nan2 I have a picture in my head of your hubby each morning deciding what to order from the Nan2 menu

Oma, T is 83 now. He is recently looking suddenly older and frailer. He was always fit and active and walked everywhere. It's awful when our bodies let us down. He got a good report from the heart Dr though so that's one positive!

Aquafit round 2 this morning! No other plans today but plenty around the house I should be getting on with! As I have baby E all day tomorrow and overnight, then GS2 (and possibly GD) on Friday, with an overlap with the baby, maybe I should rest up today

          Morning Ladies

A bit overcast but some blue skies between , not a good drying day everything looks damp.

          Dog will arrive soon

          Daisy
Days never go to plan do they but you did achieve a lot when you think about it 😁
hope the day is dry when you go to the forest show ,

          Gem
I think when you haven’t seen someone for a few weeks when you do see them you notice a difference in them don’t you,
I think a day of relaxation before your next Granny duty is needed recharge your batteries 😁.

          Nanto
I like a salad , B will only have it as a side dish and has to have chips with it.

          Plant
You did have a full day yesterday, is GD feeling better now ?

B text Our DD this morning and said
Good morning Mrs Doolittle , remember we are only having the dog today , not the pigeon or the Hedgehog or some random spider with only 4 legs you found 😁

If she won the lottery it would be a huge sanctuary she would have 😁

            Good Wednesday morning, everyone.

Our weather forecast has improved from "pretty miserable all day" to sun and cloud until about 5 pm, when it might rain! I'll try and get the lawn cut this morning in case I don't get chance later in the week. The barbecue on Sunday won't be much fun if we have to cut swathes through the grass to see each other! I must also get the Duvalay covers ironed so we can put them away.

I'll have to leave early for dog training as the traffic is likely to be crawling at snail's pace with the Show on today. Coming back could be even worse with the traffic. Then when it's quieter tonight, I'll take Eva over to DS2's for her sleepover.

Oma, I had to laugh at B's message to Mrs Doolittle. You wouldn't be pleased to have an injured spider, no matter how many legs it had, would you! You might think it's better not to mention this, but there's an amazing kennel-free dog rescue near Manchester, called dogs4rescue - she could fill up her sanctuary very quickly with their approach.

Gem, enjoy Aqua round 2 today. Then I agree you should have a day off all chores - you will be on your feet all the time for the next couple of days. It is sad when friends like your ex-neighbour, T, go downhill so quickly. I think one thing becomes a problem, and others things seem to go wrong very quickly. Is there anything that can be done to help him with his walking? Has he got a mobility scooter?

Nanto, what a lovely happy sunflower to start the day. We had salad last night with baked trout - quick and easy.

            Have a good day everyone.

Daisy, grass cutting is a prerequisite of hosting a barbecue or garden event!
T was told there was an operation on his leg, he paid to go privately but the consultant said it was no good for him. I ma trying to get to the bottom of this.
His Victorian terraced house with no garage etc isn't suitable for a mobility scooter. Anyway I am still trying to persuade him to use a stick!

I forgot to say we had a lovely evening with our friends. It was Lottie dog's 2 mums! She was very pleased to see us 😊

Good morning, I was out bright and early picking the blackberries again! I had to be at the physio at 9am so thought I had myself arranged nicely! I even set the timer on my phone so I wouldn't get carried away, I had enough picked when I saw a black cloud approaching, I decided to head for home, down came the rain, it poured down for 5 minutes then when I got to this side of the village, not a drop had fallen, there is me soaking wet on the bike! I came home and showered, even got the jam made, got to the physio for 9am only to find out I had to be there at 8-30!!!! Luckily he said he had time for me at 9-30 so I have just been, it is the young mans last day here, I have known him 8 years, in fact he was the one that trained me into the fitness, he would explain how it all works etc, I have always got on well with him, he got a pot of jam every year so I took him a few pots as a goodbye present. He is moving to Nijmegen, his partner lives there and he has decided to move, he is a very sensible young man, he has a house here, he is renting that to his brother at first to see how he settles in Nijmegen then he will decide what to do, he is buying the house in Nijmegen himself then if it doesn't work out with the partner they won't have that to sort out.

Gem, enjoy the aqua, we don't go during the school holiday s, in fact the pool we go to is closed for 6 weeks for repairs etc etc. I see the one here in the village is extra busy.

Nanto, I love any salad, I made a beetroot one the other evening with mackerel.

Daisy, I hope the traffic isn't too bad for you today. I like the sound of the show, it is many years ago that I would go to our local show.

Oma, a shame you are not having all the animals for the day, would be different.

I will get ready for the circuit training, I don't know if I can do everything as I have had dry needling in my shoulder, could do it all with one arm! I could stay home, but, such friendly people in the class, we always have coffee and a chat when we have finished.

Everyone is very busy atm, hope they get some good weather for the show Daisy. I am sure Eva will enjoy her play date.

Oma, your DD reminds me of a friend who captures mice humanely, puts them in her garage in cages feeds them then takes them in her car and releases them. Love B’s message.

Gemini, I expect your friend T was very pleased to see you if he is not getting out much.

Nanto, love the sunflower. One of our local growers has fields of them for people to buy, quite a sight.

Awww Oma, how nice! Very pretty girl.

Nan2, good dying weather here too, sunny with a breeze. Got all the washing dry plus my swimming stuff.

Lizzie luckily the classes stay at our pool and extra school holiday things just fit around the classes.

Both my aquafit pals were there today so we all had coffee afterwards.

We have just had a plumber round to look at a leak in our bathroom. It's from the loo (cistern luckily not bowl) He thinks he has fixed it but will come back tomorrow to check. We will have the hallways ceiling to repaint as there was leakage onto there.

OH has gone for a chest X Ray. She's gone on the bus but will text me later and I will pick her up. She went to the Dr a couple of week ago as she's had a bit of a cough for a long time. Dr thinks it's nothing and her lungs sound fine so it's just precautionary. She had planned to go yesterday after visiting her very poorly friend in hospital but the timing didn't work out.

Always best to get it checked .
Our Martin had one for ages nothing showed up , turned out its stress related . Whenever he gets upset or stressed he's like a barking dog .
How's the Pagoda coming along ? She's doing a good job on it , tell her B was wondering if she had finished yet.
Hope the leak is fixed , annoying about the ceiling but could have been worse the whole lot could have came down .

Our Window cleaner has been so it's bound to rain tonight 🙄
