Oma, when you find good sausages you keep going back for them, don't you!

I seem to have had a busy day today without a lot to show for it. Several more loads of washing, very little ironing, mowing the lawn and doing the edges, a bit of pottering round. Nothing exciting.

Welcome back, Gem. I hope the break has done you good - you certainly needed it. How is your knee now?

I hope I find you all in the best of health.

Oma, at last you seem to have sorted out the reason for feeling so breathless, it's a shame that the medical profession couldn't come up with the reason themselves.

Nan2 I quite like a salad, especially if I have it with garlic mayonnaise and coleslaw

          Welcome back Gem.

DD, SIL and two youngest GS's + very excited puppy came to visit on Sunday and we spent most of the time in the garden as it was a lovely day. Unfortunately puppy had to stay on a lead as all the gardens are open plan
We were exhausted by the time they had gone and we were both in bed by quarter to 10 .

Bank Holiday was spent very quietly, trying to recover from the previous day.

Today I have an appointment with the podiatrist and then I have to pick up a few bits from town.

Yesterday our neighbour's husband gave us a box of Roses chocolates as a thank you for helping her up off the garden path where she fell .
It was a lovely gesture but I pointed out anyone would have done the same for her, but I thanked him anyway.

          Have a good day everyone
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Welcome home Gemini with batteries charged.

Mimi, I am sure your neighbour was so grateful you were around to help.

Oma, Your night time vigil sounded lovely, I often wonder what passes through our garden at night, mainly foxes I would guess.

I have so many jobs needing doing, 2 freezers needing defrosting and sorted, garage needing sweeping out, bottom sheet on bed needing changing, ducks needing feeding. Gardening more or less up to date. Must get on and have a shower or nothing will get done.

                  Good morning everyone.

We left the sun in Lancashire

Oma, it's the usual Tuesday golf competition for OH at her club. It usually takes most of the day though, with time in the clubhouse afterwards!
Are you feeling better off those tablets?

                  It's cloudy here too Nan2.

Aww, your neighbour appreciated you being there when you needed her Mimi, and your kindness.

Daisy, we didn't do much walking at all yesterday,as I knew my knee needed a break. I am going to make an appointment to see a consultant privately, for the initial appointment at least, to speed things up. Then we'll see where we go from there.

Lots planned there then Plant! Yes my batteries are recharged after a nice few days away.

GS1 today so no library morning for me. We have no plans so will see what the day brings . He is the easiest and the hardest GC to look after! Easy as his food needs are simple and he would happily while away the whole day on screens. Hard as it is so difficult to get him to do anything else or want to go anywhere!

                  Have a good day ladies.

I am feeling a lot better Gem thanks for asking ,
I can now go shopping without having to stop or come home .
Still a little breathless but it’s early days , I read it can take 5 weeks for these drugs to leave your system ,
Im convinced now it’s definitely them that’s the cause .

Boys of your GSs age are difficult to entertain as you say they are quite happy to stare at their screens all day 😁

                    Plant
you do have a lot to do but one job at a time dear lady don’t push too far then be exhausted xx

Been to B&M and Iceland .
I bought a couple nice large pots
One to put the bulbs Plant kindly sent into , I will pot them then put a plant in for now ,
The other one we are putting all the little Narcissus daffodils in and a mix of tulips crocus etc ,
Hopefully next year they will all come through and make a nice display.

Its quite overcast at the moment and a bit chilly ,
B going to paint the shed so at least the sun won’t be beating down on him ,
We are changing the colour in the garden from dark oak to silver grey ,
So far he has painted the sleepers and it’s looking nice ,

Good Tuesday morning, everyone. The sun is still with us, but I'll happily send some to those with cloud today!

Gem, I hope a private consultation for your knee gets things moving for you. The longer you have to wait the more you suffer. It's sometimes hard to balance activities with GCs isn't it. On the one hand, they are on holiday and generally need that time to unwind, but as caring grans we also know the value of fresh air and exercise plus new experiences (not screen-based!). Whatever you do, enjoy your day with GS1.

Plant, it sounds as though you've got quite a long list of jobs on your "to do" list. Take it easy and enjoy the sunshine and your beautiful flowers in the garden.

Oma, are you getting pots for plants or boiling potatoes? I hope it's plants.

Nanto, as Oma says, you're sure to find jobs that need doing that you hadn't planned for. Enjoy your homemade pie.

Mimi, I'm sure you had a lovely time with DD and family at the week-end. I can also feel for you! Lovely to see them and enjoy their company but when they've gone home you just want to put your feet up and recuperate! I'm sure the puppy was very excited to have such fun, but no bad thing to have to keep him on his (her?) lead. At the caravan we use a spike driven into the grass with a longish lead attached so Eva can wander round our pitch but no further. She's quite happy with it and the bit of freedom it gives her - lots of people seem to use them as well. Both your neighbour and her husband must be very grateful for your help and it was nice of them to say thank you with Roses.

I've taken Eva out for a long walk this morning while it was cool and quiet, and OH has taken my very dirty car to be valeted. I was going to clean it myself, but he offered to get it done. I'm washing all the dog towels etc that seem to gather in the dark corners of my car. Then, I'll have to turn my back on the sun and get on with the ironing.

Have a good day everyone. x

Blimey, its cold here today. About 20 minutes ago we had a glimmer of sunshine for about 3 seconds.

Mimi, lovely to get chocolates for helping your neighbour.

All downstairs cleaned and floors that can be washed were washed.
The pile of ironing has been done.

Oma, the change of colour in the garden will be nice,i'm sure.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Well, the ironing isn't quite finished, but there's a much smaller pile to tackle later - I needed a break! I've finally caught up with washing. I can't remember when I last had so much!

It's still lovely and sunny here and pleasantly warm, but there's a cool north-east breeze still. Nanto and Oma, I hope it warms up for you.

Oma, our earlier posts crossed. The silver grey will look lovely, I'm sure. How has B got on with it today?

                            Daisy,
he's almost finished the shed .
God Dog tomorrow so he won't get much done so he's going to the lumber yard to look at wood for the fencing . It's slow progress but he can only do short bursts before he has to sit down doing a great job mind you .
Bet that ironing pile felt like a mountain,
One job I hate is ironing.

                            Nanto
It's not been too warm here either , sun out now but still chilly .

Well done on the ironing Daisy. I have a lady to do that (it's S )

It was very chilly here Nan2. I wore a jacket to do some gardening this morning. When GS and I came out of the cinema at 4 it was very warm and bright sunshine!

The garden paint colour sounds nice Oma.

Well GS1 and I kept ourselves amused! He let me watch, via his laptop, him play on his VR
We did some drawing together and I planted out the tubs for front and back gardens, GS coming out to me several times to educate me on tsunamis around the world. We went to the cinema this afternoon to see the Super Mario movie, which was OK. The new Little Mermaid would have been my choice He is going to the Scarborough open air water park with his dad tomorrow which he is looking forward to.

Oma, well done to B. Slow but steady is what wins the race!

Gem, I still find either GS, as old as they are, love showing me tecchie stuff. About 90% of it usually goes over my head, but I try and understand. GS2's great at showing me how to do games that need speed and eons of practice! Jut think how clued up you will be about the current Super Mario movie now. I hope GS1 gets good weather tomorrow for the open air water park.

I haven't quite finished the ironing. Several phone calls and the evening's gone!
