Well we have had a steady stream if visitors.
I think the kettle will be screaming out for a rest.
Washed a load of darks and got them dry, brought them in when i saw some dark clouds looming.

I brought our washing in too. No rain is forecast but it's looking a bit dark!

Its a bit blustery here, and it’s dull but it’s not forecast rain, you can’t trust the forecast though can you.

I fell asleep on the sofa after lunch only intended having 20 minutes
1-1/2 hours later when I woke.
B said I went sound and he didn’t want to wake me as I was so peaceful 😁

Yes there is a washing machine at the villa, so that cuts down what we need. Very handy with the extra clothes changes with a baby!

It hasn't rained so far. Packing all done apart from last minute additions, bed all changed and old bedding washed . I miss having a pet very much but preparing for a holiday is a lot easier without having to prepare for a cat/house sitter!

Gem, your poor Auntie, and what a shock for you. It was a good job you had fast reactions and saved her from falling. It does shake you up though. Well done on getting your packing all done - there are always last minutes bits though, aren't there. How did the one big case work out? The arrangements for pets always seem to take up a lot of time one way or another. Tomorrow I want to prep all Eva's food for while we are away then I can drop it off at Cooper's during the week. I hope their freezer isn't too full.

Lizzie, that lady was so lucky not to have been badly injured. I agree, it's no fun sitting outside when the sun's not shining. What is your GD1 going to study? Has she got to do some pre-reading before her course starts?

Oma, you must have been really tired to sleep like that. I hope it doesn't mean you can't sleep tonight.

Nanto, are you sure you haven't got a sign outside your house saying "Open House - all welcome"? Still, I like having visitors and we've always go people popping in and out.

Plant, it's never quiet at your house for long, is it! I hope DD and SIL have had a good holiday. Did they go to Normandy again?

We managed to walk Eva in sunshine this morning! She had a good run round at the paddock after standing a chatting to the doggy family who were just leaving as we arrived. I was very pleased she sat quietly (more or less) even when the puppy was trying to play with her. Our friends were just off to church, so OH didn't chat for long, and I thought the groceries were 12 to 1 o'clock, but they were an hour later. A friend popped in for a coffee. I was just about to hang out the third load of washing when it started to rain. At least I was on hand to get the dry things off the line. We ended up having a late lunch and I cut the lawn - not very well as it was so long, but it's progress.

Just off to get dinner.

It feels quite autumnal this evening. I have put a cardigan on and we are both under fleece throws!

Not much happening here today.
Going to fill the slow cooker up to make beef stew for the freezer. Some of it will be used to make a couple of pies.

Going to pop down to the bungalow later to take a birthday card. It's sis in laws birthday tomorrow.

I haven't decided what's for dinner yet.

Just seen the weather forecast, he said its going to warm up, but it won't last for long.

Have to go to Sunderland Hospital today to pick tablets up for B , can only get the prescription from Hospital pharmacy and they won’t send them to our Pharmacy,
Bit of a pain but has to have them to keep his Liver going.

Parcel to send back but apart from that a free day,
B might even get the car washed 😁

Good morning all.

Nan2 I think it will last the duration of my holiday!

Aquafit this morning then off for a sports massage at 12.30. DD and SIL3 and baby are staying the night so I am cooking salmon for the 4 of us. They are vegetarians who will eat fish occasionally and its a simple meal for me to prepare. We would be having fish and chips but ours fish shop is closed on Monday nights.

Quite why they are staying the night is unclear. We are slightly closer to the airport but not a great deal. They aren't travelling with us. They will go to the airport in their car and DD and GS1 will come in ours. When the catsitters from Stratford on Avon were coming to theirs the day before it made sense for DD etc to stay here. No catsitters staying now but they still want to come

She's a very nice neighbour, grandma to a toddler girl and has a dog and 3 cats herself. She lives next door so it's not far to go.
