Oma, I think your GS1 is going to be coming back for your meals.
Everyone seems to be eating out, I did have a morning coffee with GD1 and H (chocolate and marshmallows for H) yesterday after visiting the library to change her books.
Gemini, your GS3 is certainly a good house guest, not waking you before light. Your GS2 and GD will love to play with him I am sure.
I got the all clear with regards to my blood circulation. I had what they call a Doppler scan. My new doctor is checking me out since I had the blood clot in my leg. I just wish she could find a cure for my psoriasis.
Lizzie, your GDβs are certainly very lucky to have a GM who is on the ball to sort out their problems. My GC sort out my problems now.

Good Friday morning everyone. It's dull and chilly here, but not raining - at the moment.
Sainsburys have been and we've done the bins and then sat down for breakfast. Neither of us feel very energetic after yesterday, but I must get on and start doing some preparation for a barbecue on Sunday. I can't remember if I mentioned it or not! A friend of 40 years was 80 at the beginning of this month but between holidays for both of us and other commitments we've only just been able to arrange a celebration for her. She loves barbecues, so we just hope the weather is ok for us. I'll make her a cake today and do some housework, then this evening I'll prepare salad dressings, marinades for ribs and chicken drumsticks. She is allergic to garlic, so can't have most ready-made dressings etc. It's good if she can tuck in without worrying or needing to check ingredients. At least the cake is 'safe'!
Our fantastic GS1 is 20 today! How did that happen - it doesn't seem 5 minutes since he was born. He's grown into a lovely, kind young man, loving his job and his life. There's a big family celebration next week-end for him and his other Grandad and step Grandma who both have birthdays in a few days' time. This Grandma is also celebrating her 80th (it must have been a vintage year!)
Nanto, well done on getting those jobs done. Another pub meal sounds good, and I always think it's a bonus if I don't have to cook. Enjoy. x
Plant, that's really good news about your circulation. Your new GP sounds wonderful and very thorough.
Oma, it's lovely that you and GS1's other grand parents are such good friends and you can share the excitement about GS going to Uni. Another trip to IKEA - poor B. x
Gem, A busy day today fr you, so it's good GS3 went through the night, although I'm sure you slept with one ear listening, just in case. Have a lovely day with your grand children. At least you don't have to cook tonight - have fun.

Pleased you got the all clear, that must have put your mind at ease .
Daisy
Another busy weekend for you ,
20 already these children are growing up too fast ,
Isnt it nice when they are enjoying life no worries no stress , we tell GS enjoy it while you can before you know it you will be married with a family and all the responsibilities that go with it π
We went to IKEA in and out as B had already noted down the locations of what I wanted, isle numbers and locations
So no hanging about for us he was like a Ninja π₯· fully prepared to fight if he had too π€£π€£π€£
The A1 going and coming back is a nightmare , from Washington to Gateshead metro centre they have been widening the roads and putting new flyovers etc in , the first stage finished last year after 3 years and then they started on this stretch .
It wonβt be finished till 2025
Its causing huge tail backs and rush hour is a snails pace ,
Not only on the A1 but all the surrounding small roads , everyone is trying to use them to avoid the road works and itβs not working itβs just causing more delays ,
People going to the Airport in Newcastle are giving themselves extra two hours to make sure they getting through.Im not fat just 6ft too small

Nanto, that sounds like a good pub.
Oma, it's the same round here - major road works that just seem to go on and on. Journeys can take twice as long as they should do, and it drives me mad.
I didn't get everything done today that I wanted to, but tiredness from yesterday and Wednesday caught up with me.

Good morning. It's nice and bright.
Not going out today, hubby helping his brother with something in the garden.
ββββSo I'm going to make some corned beef, beans and mash pies.
Hubby has asked for chicken tikka for his dinner. I'll have a cheese omelette.
I dare say I'll find plenty to do to keep me out of mischief.
Have a good day ladies.Sometimes I forget to like posts,but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

Good Saturday morning, Nanto, and everyone who drops in later.
Nanto, where did you get that lovely picture of our garden? (I wish!!). There's always plenty to do isn't there, but when you've done your cooking you could put your feet up, hopefully sitting in the garden.
I need to get cracking with various jobs today. It was raining last night and still feels as though there's more to come.
I've just been checking on the apple trees we planted early in 2022. One has a lot of apples on it, and I'm hoping then ripen before the birds notice - they look lovely.

No plans today, just go with the flow. I do have a flower bed to weed.
Daisy, I need to find someone to prune my fruit trees, particularly the eating apple trees, they have gone mad. The plums are manageable but the Victoria has developed silver leaf. The two cherry trees I planted mainly for the blossom as the birds get there first. Good luck with the apples.

Good morning everyone, Daisy, I had the same yesterday, the tiredness hit me!! In fact for the first time ever I overslept!!! Well for me that was.
Oma, a young man from the gym will be travelling up the A1 next week on his way to Scotland, I hope he keeps an eye on the closed roads etc. I can just picture you flying through Ikea, that is what I do, know exactly what I want and that is it, in fact I was so fast one morning the security stopped me!!!! I got to the cash desk before anyone was ready for me.
I have been picking blackberries again, it was on the news the other evening that it is a bumper year for them, that is true! I have just made some more jam, I may go in the morning for some for my freezer and M next door wants some to make vinegar!
DS1 will be on their way back home, spent the night somewhere in Germany so home this afternoon, I think that will be the plan.
Plant, I wouldn't know how to prune fruit trees. DS2 has quite a few in their orchard, I don't know who does them for him.
I made some pumpkin soup yesterday, I got a bio pumpkin at the grower last week, every day I thought I would make the soup so actually got it done yesterday, it was quite a large pumpkin so I took half to M next door.
I want to go to the village later on, get sorted out in the kitchen first.

Good morning my dears!
Plant, good news from the Drs, a relief for sure. I just wish, like you that they could sort our the psoriasis for you.
Daisy belated birthday wishes to your GS - 20! I hope he had had a lovely day.
Oma, B is an IKEA expert with all those trips!
I'm glad the pub meal was good Nan2.
We had a good sleep in this morning and are still in bed. I am wiped out after 2 days baby care! Although he is an angel baby, easy and joy to be with it is tiring, especially with my aches and pains. What I thought was a full day Thursday overnight stay and part for the following morning turned out to be until after 5pm on the Friday! GD and GS2 here on Fridays as well.
The 3 of them delighted in each others company and GD adores the baby, cant get enough of him. I discovered my love of babies around her age and I can see that besottedness in her eyes! I wasn't sure she would come yesterday but it was lovely to have her here.
We had a manic period late afternoon. I had ordered pizza delivery for the older 2 as school holiday treat, and to save me cooking as we were eating out. I then realised I would have to feed the baby too! I cooked some pasta to go with an organic cheese and veg baby pouch I had in for emergencies. The window cleaner arrived, then needed paying as I was feeding baby, so I left GD in charge. Then the pizza arrived and GS apprantly opened the door and just said 'Hey' to the woman! GD alerted me so I came and paid and GD took the pizza. Then babies parents arrived, then DD2 just after, then OH arrived back from the optician!
After they had all gone the last thing I felt like doing was going out. It was for a friend's birthday so I had no option but I was so tired! I would have been happier getting into my PJs and curling up on the sofa . I had one G&T then stuck to tap water as wine would have made me even more sleepy. We met the others in a pub then on to a Turkish restaurant for our meal. I enjoyed the evening and was glad we had gone. I was also very glad of a lie in today!
No plans today apart from popping out to buy something for a friend's birthday.βA grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.β β Unknown

Gemini, I am not surprised you are tired after that day of looking after the GC. I know they would all have been good but ones brain goes into overdrive. That was a long time to have the baby, so pleased your GD felt like coming, perhaps the baby was the draw. Try and have a quiet day today.
Lizzie, lovely to have the blackberries but then you have to work to use them or give them away to friends but I hate seeing fruit going to waste.
