Oma, yes it is, sugar and pectine, from Van Gils, I have been to the Makro and got the last box so whether or not there is a shortage I do not know.
image.pngDaisy, this is it. van Gilse jelly sugar is perfect for making fruit preserves such as jam, jelly, marmalade and more! De gelly sugar special is specially to make half sweet jams.
Plant, why don't you treat yourself to a pedicure? Get your toe nails cut, colour if you want it and a lovely massage at the same time! I can recommend Allure in Holmer Green!
It has rained continually since about 12 o'clock and shows no sign of letting up. At least we won't need to water the garden tonight! There have been several 'events' on in this area today. I would think there would have been a lack of footfall at them, although DD did send a text so I could hear the music from a musical festival near them. Would imagine it would have been a bit soggy underfoot there! GS went yesterday in the sunshine but his GF is there today in the rain! DD also sent a message....it's in the low 30s in Slovakia. He's advised me to take loose clothing for my upcoming trip !
I have painted the end wall in my kitchen/diner. Got fed up with white walls so it's a lovely turquoise which matches the blinds. Just got to get it all tidied up now!
I'm going to have a relaxing evening now! Hope everyone else does the same xx

Oma, glad B's appointment got sorted in the end.
When we go to the farm shop its very expensive, but worth it.
All of their produce is from their own animals.
Daisy, glad you got in the house eventually.
It rained off and on while we were in town, but it wasn't heavy.
Very cold this afternoon when we got home, but it seems to have warmed up a bit.
Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.
Another wet day.
I'll be glad to see the back of this month, hope next month is better weatherwise.
Doing a roast chicken dinner today. DS2 might be coming.
If they ring for him to go into work, hubby will take him a dinner later.
His partner comes back from her hen do tomorrow.
Morning Nanto
Its lashing down still , Very dark at the moment.
It was so heavy during the night we came down to a puddle of water on my hall floor ,
It must have been driving towards the door, we not sure how it’s got in either under the door or down the sides .
Lots of sirens going off along our Highway at the back so most likely car accidents .
Going out to lunch with DD and friends, SIL rang last night to say he had booked a table for 1 in one of our favourite places.
Looking very dreary out. I really didn’t want to get out of bed. I have no plans today, might do some sewing.
WG, Thanks for the advice, DD suggested I did as you suggested but I have the remains of psoriasis on my feet so will do so when hopefully it clears up completely. I have managed to deal with them this time. Well done for painting the wall.
It is Penn Festival in a field near to us and WG, family used to go and quite a lot of people camp but it always seems to be wet. It is like a mini Glastonbury.
I will pop back later.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
Its been such a wet July Nan2 and Oma, I agree. Lots of standing water outside.
Enjoy your Sunday lunches at home and out both of you
Our kitchen walls are turquoise WG, nice and bright! We don't have much wall though its mostly units and window.
Today is baby E's first birthday!
His party (just family) is at 3.30. One of DD and SIL's best friends is a midwife who lives in London. The timing is so she can be here as she had to miss their Summer Solstice party last month due to work. We bought him a Little Tykes slide and a couple of outfits for his holiday.
So far he is loving a box best, of course

Good morning , we have the wind and a up to now a few slight showers, the rest will come, in fact it feels like autumn!
Gem, enjoy the party and Oma the lunch.
I was awake early so went to pick the blackberries, there were so many! I came home, had a shower then got the jam made, burning my thumb with the hot jam in the progress.
I was thinking of going to visit the friend in the home, I will see what the weather is like later on.
Nanto, the roast chicken sounds delicious!
When I was at the Makro yesterday I had a quick look at sets of pan for when (if) the gas has to go.
I will post some photos here Oma DD and SIL don't like too much social media exposure for the baby which is why I hardly post any pics of him on FB. I was always free to with the others so it's hard not !

Oma, GS and I are off next Sunday! Not sure whether I'm looking forward or dreading it! When GS and DS are together, the latter reverts to being a teenager and the two of them wind each other up ( in a good way)! I can always take myself off to the shopping mall if they become unbearable .
Sunshine and very heavy showers here today. Had to shelter under a tree when I went to get my paper as the heavens opened. Lots of worried looking people at the cricket club and the covers were out, but I've just noticed they're starting to play, so obviously dry enough for the match.
Waiting for DD to come and help me move table etc back. i moved it myself, but for some reason, I can't move it the other way!
Hope everybody has a good rest of the day x
