Nanto I have just looked and ordered two cardigans ,

I also found a code got £10 off and free delivery so cant be bad can it ,
Thank you for that
OH still in hospital! First he would be discharged on Saturday, couldn't do that because he'd started new meds. Then it was Monday, that came and went. Today I phoned ward and the nurse said there was a 50/50 chance he'd be discharged today. Waiting on a report from the doctors who started the new meds. Went in to see him and cornered an unsuspecting member of staff!! The ward says he's medically fit, but the other department have to put in a report. It may be there tomorrow or it may not!!! While I was there they brought round a bag of meds for him to take when he's discharged, so they're obviously expecting him to go soon! He seems happy in his own world, just a shame it's not the same world as the rest of us live in.
Traffic in town was horrendous. There seemed to be roadworks round every corner and mostly on junctions so traffic was backing up four ways. Nightmare, glad to be home again!
Bake Off tonight! DS back later from his weekend away, luckily he didn't want picking up at the airport.
Another handbag Oma? What are you like?
It's been another lovely day here but it's much colder in the mornings and I did have the heating on last night to take the chill off the house.
Hope everyone has a good evening x
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

WG, if it is anything like when my mum was discharged back from hospital to the care home after breaking her hip, it went from them not knowing when she would leave to 'She is leaving in an hour!'
Lovely cardigans Oma. You can't have too many bags (My OH would disagree)
Nan2, I may get a Damart cardigan too!
I had a good reflexology treatment this morning (and booked in another two before Christmas) and good catch up with my friend M this afternoon. Her friend's mum went into a care home at a similar time to my mum, and seems to have the same stage of dementia as my mum, so many similarities.
Bake Off tonight, as WG says

Good Morning, its been a few days again since I posted I have that dreaded flu again and have been in my bed since the week-end I feel as though every bone in my body is aching and am so miserable.
I have tried to PM a couple of time's but can't get my head around the process it is coming up I have no access to the service ??
Today I am on my 3rd day of antibiotic's & steroids and hopefully I will see a change soon,I can't do a PCR test with me taking the antibiotic's and have to wait until that course if finished it can give a false neg or false pos result so will have to wait until after Friday before I can send off the test.
Truely I have never felt so poorly everyone has been wonderful & helpful .
Bye for now my lovely friends I will keep in touch as and when I feel better xxx Glamma
Glamm - poor you, you sound so poorly and fed up. It's no consolation to hear there seem to be such a lot of really bad colds and flu going round. I suppose we've lost resistance to bugs like that during lockdown. Just concentrate on getting yourself better. I read an article recently about how we shouldn't rush the 'getting better' process - we need to give our bodies time to rest and recover at their own pace, but at the same time it's awful feeling so ill, isn't it. Sending you big gentle hugs dear Glamm. xxx
WeeGranny - you must be so frustrated and fed up with the delays in discharging your OH back to the home. It always seems to be the non-medical things that snarl everything up, like not getting the doctor's report. I hope today brings more positive news, but at least he's not fretting even though you know he will be more comfortable in the nursing home.
Gem - what a lovely day! I'm sure you were ready for an 'easy' day after GS1 on Monday. Much as we love our GCs it is quite tiring.
Oma - I'm glad you're getting the cardigan conundrum sorted out, but I would never have thought a handbag would be a good substitute for a cosy woolly! I can picture B's face!
We had a lovely day with GDs and Cooper yesterday. They went home very happy with their pumpkins and all our electric candles! I'll have to remember to get some more. They're growing up so fast though - I feel time is racing ahead. DIL1 sent me a photo this morning of GS2 who is nearly 17, towering head, shoulders and more over his other gran! It won't be long before he's as tall as his 6' dad!
Nanto - I hope the washing dries ok.
No French class this week so I'll try and get a few jobs in the garden done before dog training this afternoon.

Its dull and the odd spot of rain here Nanto not a drying day here that's for sure.
Glamm you must be worn out feeling so poorly for so long , I do hope the meds kick in soon xxx
