Good morning everyone. Am I first??

Thanks for the good wishes for the house sale everyone.
    Very windy morning here.
GD and GS2 day today. I didn't see them last week as they went away on Friday (my usual day) for few days holiday.

I hope everyone is OK and WG's OH setting back into the care home.

        Good Thursday morning, everyone.

It's quite mild here and hopefully will stay dry long enough for me to do the gardening jobs I didn't get done yesterday! No other plans, and hopefully no distractions. My arm's still painful though, so I'll take it gently and OH says he'll help. I'm going to wrap some tender plants in fleece ready for the winter. I want to get as many as possible into the summerhouse now I haven't got the greenhouse.

Nanto - you've been a busy bee, but it is satisfying when something you've worked on looks better.

Gem - Everything crossed for your Mum's house sale. Have a good day with GD and GS2. Did they enjoy their few days' holiday? It's good the library is being well-used - it shows it was worth fighting to keep it open.

WeeGranny - thank goodness your OH has finally been discharged from hospital. I hope he's settles down again quickly - I'm sure he will be much more comfortable. Good to have your DS home again, even if he does empty the fridge overnight! It's a bit mean of your neighbour not to clean your bit of paving while he's doing his own. Take it easy on the ironing. Will you be visiting OH today?

Glamm - I hope you've turned the corner and are starting to feel a bit better today. xx

Plant - oooh, I love Christmas pudding. I bet yours will be delicious.

Oma - I keep carrots in the fridge but was still finding they don't seem to keep long, or are tasteless. But I started buying Sainsbury's Imperfectly Tasty carrots - sometimes funny shapes and uneven sizes, but they always seem fresher and tastier than any others. It's a pity they come in a plastic bag, but I rarely have to throw any away. I hope Storm has been forgiven for running away yesterday.

Good morning, I have just lost a post! A lovely sunny day so I am going out for a bike ride, I will call and see if they have the new bike seat for me whilst I am out.

I hope the house sale goes through this time Gem, enjoy your day with the grandchildren.

Nanto, your suite will look nice, years ago I read to do the leather with castor oil in water, good for the leather and for my hands whilst I am doing it.

Forgot to say, hairdresser is coming this morning.

Lizzie - if that happens it's worth going back to the thread and seeing if there's a red message saying "Restore or Discard".

I suppose the castor oil is absorbed into the leather. I can't remember - does castor oil smell?

              Nanto - happy hair do!

WG, very pleased your OH has now been discharged, good idea to let him settle in before visiting.

Yes Gem, fingers crossed for a completion this time. Enjoy your Library time this afternoon.

Daisy, I hope Eva perks up for her training this evening.

Oma, I find vegetables go off quickly, cauliflower keeps the best for me. I love french beans and broccoli, they go off quickly.

Lizzie, pleased you found your parcel, a bit of detective work resolved the issue.

Bowls for me this afternoon, I have made some cakes to take as it is my birthday tomorrow. Looking forward to going out to lunch with my Dil, DS and my 2 GSs tomorrow. DD and Sil will not be back until late afternoon from their trip to Wales.

                    Good morning ladies
I have just come back from shopping ,
We went to Asda then round to Sainsburys and then over the road to Aldi ,
Spent a fortune but bought extra stuff to put away for Christmas ,
I always start a box and fill it each week with something expensive like Coffee etc , it means Christmas week im not pulling money out or lugging shopping around

I don't mind the shopping but I hate putting it away so B is doing that .

WG hope OH is settled back in when you visit today xx

Lizzie its a horrible dark and wet day here , make the most of your sunny day

Plant enjoy bowls , I bet you have a lovely time tomorrow out for lunch and no doubt treated to nice things

Daisy be careful with that arm don't make it worse xxx

Gem have you anything planned with the GC today ?

Nanto we used to clean our Leather sofas with Baby soap , always loved the look and smell when they were done ,
We have always had Cream leather , this is the first Fabric one we have had in over 20 years .

I had a bit of a episode last night , felt unwell and sick , tested my sugar and it had dropped to 4.5 , very low so I had a bar of chocolate and a orange squash drink and felt so much better after about 15 minutes .

My Sugar is never below 6 so it was very low for me
                    Anyway its fine this morning
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Played a reasonable game of bowls, I took cake in for my birthday, much appreciated during our tea break.
I have treated myself to a G&T as it is my pre-birthday.

                          Happy nearly birthday Plant

I hope you feel OK now Oma. I'm glad you knew how to look after yourself.

I had a lovely day with the GC, and a friend came over this afternoon. I invited her over for tea and cake as it's her birthday and I knew she was on her own all day ( though a friend is going over for takeaway with her tonight) The GC know her as they have been her art workshops, so it was nice for us all

Oma, glad you were able to control your sugar levels.

gem, lovely to hear you had a nice day with the GC and your friend.

Oma - I wonder what had caused that blood sugar drop - had you missed a meal or something? Thank goodness you were able to get it back up quickly. Have you checked it again today, just to make sure?

Plant - I bet you friends at bowls wish you had birthdays ore often than once a year! You're definitely due a couple of G&Ts in preparation for tomorrow.

Gem - is the birthday lady the artist friend of yours I see on Facebook? She's a very talented lady. I'm sure your GCs enjoyed the day as much as you did.

Oma - you know how carefully and how far in advance I (don't) get organised for that Seasonal event in December, but one thing I do is make sure at the beginning of the month that I'm not going to run out of basics - things like coffee, tea, sugar, washing powder etc. This started years ago when we ran out of washing up liquid on Christmas Day itself - after breakfast!!

It's been quite a nice day here - sunny but a bit breezy. We got quite a lot done in the garden, which I was very pleased about.
