Nanto, try not to let the funeral looming get you down, think of the fun times you had with your in-laws and nobody could have been kinder to them.

Very overcast this morning, not sure what the forecast is for today. It is GGD birthday soon and we are invited to a family gathering at their house, I think it is a drop in occasion. GGD will be 2 next week and she will not know it is not her birthday today. I shall give her my present on her birthday and transfer some money into GS’s A/C for her.
My DD was pinged yesterday so she will be taking daily tests. We think DD, Sil and GD1 had the virus the January it all took off. They were very poorly, dreadful coughs etc. So I would think they have some anti-bodies, fingers crossed.

I will have to get a shift on so I will pop back later.

Good morning everyone. I slept badly last night (unusual for me) and feel tired this morning, although I had a lie-in. Forgive me - I've only skimmed through yesterday's happenings, but I'm also worried about Clover and Mimi. It was lovely to see Grauntie commenting on my tale of woe and wins.

Nanto - sending you lots of hugs. I'm sure you're dreading Monday - funerals are always hard. Have you talked to your FIL - does he feel the same? It might be good for both of you to have a little chat beforehand. xxx

WeeGranny - It's worth ringing the surgery and explaining that your OH is undergoing chemo at the moment, and could you both have your flu jabs now as a matter of urgency, or if they haven't got supplies can you go elsewhere for them. I remember some years ago a friend doing this when her OH was having chemo and they did them straight away. Different times, I know, but the urgency is still the same.

I'm not sure what I'm doing today - we've got a week-end off from garden work, but everywhere is thick with dust, it's so dry. I don't know where to start, or even whether to bother.

Good morning, it will be a difficult day Nanto, thinking of you all.xx

Daisy, take a rest from it all. The dust will appear again when the men start again next week.

I have just been to the garage, I have thought for a while that there is a new oil patch in my garage, checked the oil and had to fill it so phoned the garage and to put my mind at rest the lovely young man said he would take a look if I went, this I did, the coffee was waiting for me and the young man had a look, luckily it is not leaking from underneath, nor the filter, he said it could be a ring half way, if it is that it won't be much work to replace, I have to put cardboard under the car and see how much it leaks then go back in 2 weeks and ask for him as he knows what to look for.

WeeG, do you usually get appointments for the jab?

Gem, enjoy the fish and chips and the sleep over!

Good idea to put cardboard down Lizzie.
            Not much point dusting Daisy!

Friends called in when on a walk and stayed for a cuppa, which was nice .
GC are here now. DD is so excited , 40th birthday party with buffet and disco for one of her friends! First time in so long for anything like that.

Oma, did your arm ache after your jab? We both have very achey arms this afternoon!

Gem, I have carpet tiles in the garage, the man at the garage couldn't believe it!!! Years ago DS2 was clearing a store and they were throwing them out, OH decided to put them in the garage, so, there is wall to wall in my garage!

Nan2, how nice to have some of your MIL's jewellery.

I'm glad you are both fine Oma.
Our arms are aching a lot less now, but OH started to feel a bit tired achy and shivery this afternoon. I gave her some painkillers and told her to just rest now. If you get these side effects they only last a day or two at the most. She said she's feeling ok but wouldn't like to think she had to do anything.

GS2 bathed and tucked up in bed 😊

Gem, hope OH feels better today. I was like that with my first covid jab.

Oma, pleased you and B are ok after your jabs.

Haven't seen any posts from Sunshine for a while. Hope she is ok.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.
GS and I are up, OH and GD asleep.

OH went to bed early last night as she wasn't feeling well. I don't know how she is this morning yet. We have both got off lightly so far with no bad reactions to flu or covid jabs in the past. Hopefully she will start to feel better today.
No plans, so she can rest and I can look after her!
GD and I stayed up late watching episodes of House Of Games, which we enjoyed.

I hope everyone is well and has a good Sunday.

Good morning, Nan2, how nice to be able to choose jewellery from your MIL.

Gem, I hope you have recovered from the jabs and enjoying the sleep over!

I was at DS1 yesterday, DIL has been in bed most of the week, didn't want to bother me! She fell off her bike and landed on the kerb, hurt her knee and can hardly walk, I have told them if it is no better tomorrow to phone the doctor. That is me worrying, I woke early worrying, me again, decided to wash the curtains in the kitchen and shorten them so that they hang better and I can use them, I usually change blinds for the winter months but if I do this I won't have to bother, it wasn't very safe getting them down, I won't bother with the corner hook when hanging them back up, leave that for someone younger. Now I am busy getting the table and chairs from the balcony down into the shed then I can clean the balcony tomorrow, I can always sit outside as I have a bench and it stays out.

Have a nice Sunday everyone, now to dismantle the table!

Lizzie, I am fine apart from a slightly sore arm. OH has been feeling rotten.
Y0ur poor DIL! yes, do be careful putting those curtains back, get help!

Good Sunday morning everyone. I thought I was an early bird this morning, but obviously not! Nanto - your MIL's pendant and earrings are lovely, and I'm sure they will bring back happy memories when you wear them. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow, and hoping everything goes as well as possible.

Lizzie- you probably should have got someone to get those curtains down for you - what about putting them back up? I hope your car is ok, but the young man at the garage seems to know what he's doing.

Gem - I do hope S feels better this morning. Perhaps she was also tired after her 4 consecutive days of golf. Glad you enjoyed the sleepover, and hope DD had fun on her night out catching up with all her friends.

Oma - glad you had no after-effects from the jab. Do you hoover B's shed out for him?

I'm catching up with washing today - the sun's shining and we've managed to get the washing line up, despite all the work going on in the garden.

Good morning and thank you for the card I received this morning! I haven’t been on for quite a while - no particular reason I am not online as much in Summer as I like to be out and about. We have had quite a few Motorhome trips this year and are off on Wednesday on our second visit to Portugal. Got our Antigen Tests on Tuesday morning and then we should be good to go! I’ll try to get back on here again soon and read through some of your posts!
