Good morning Nan2, pretty graphic for a dull day. Still raining here, windy, and dark! Good morning everyone else.
Poor OH is on the golf course at 10.
I will go to see my mum this afternoon. I had thought of taking her out in the wheelchair to the cafe in her village, and maybe a walk round to look at the church, until I saw the forecast.
Happy Friday everyone.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good morning Ladies ,
What a horrible morning ,
Its dark wet and windy .
Gem not a nice Golfing day or a day to take your Mum out , even wrapped up it will be too cold and damp .
What a shame , what else will you do ? maybe a nice cake and chat will be a better idea
Daisy as it happened I did miss, well not miss but had tea very very late for us and I should have had a nibble at something till we did but you know how it is things get in the way and you forget
I hadn't had anything since 11.30 on the morning and it was gone 7 by time we sat down for tea so far too long .
Did you get the tree chopped down ? does it make a difference
Plant enjoy your Birthday lunch out ,
Bedding in the wash I have some ironing to do but will do that later
We are popping to DD's this morning .
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Visiting in residents room or taking them out are the only options under rules for care homes still Oma, so yes we will stay in her room and I will take a cake. She's been a bit tearful and asking when she will leave lately, so the time I'm there can drag and be hard, so I had been hoping to get her out for a bit. Every day is different though so she may be OK today. I never know until I get there.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good morning, still sunny here but the rain is forecast, I have just been to C&A in Delft but it has changed! I couldn't find anything I liked. It was lovely on the bike through the woods, leaves flying around in the wind. I hung my washing out before I went and it is all dry now.
Glamm, I hope you get to see a doctor and soon feel better.
Gem, it must be so sad for you seeing your mum like that.xx
Oma, try and nibble more often.

Glamm, good to hear you are on your feet, perhaps a chat with the doctor would be a good idea. You take care and keep warm.
I hope your mum is in good spirits Gemini, what a shame the weather is not good enough to take her out.
Oma, that was a long gap between your eating, take careWhat is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Good morning everyone. It feels like April here - apart from the leaves swirling round - sunshine and showers! No gardening today.
Nanto - what a pretty graphic - I do look forward to your daily treats. x
Plant - I hope you are having a good birthday. Did you say you're going out for lunch (sorry, I can't find the post!). If so have a lovely time.
Oma - you need one of those watches that give you alerts to remind you to sit down and have a snack. I hope you're ok today. Has DD finished her old job yet, or just working from home?
Gem - it must be so difficult if the weather's too bad to take your mum for a little outing. Could you just take her for a little drive round somewhere pretty. It might cheer her up and you could have a flask of tea or coffee in the car - with a cake of course. I do hope she's ok today - it's sad for both of you when she's tearful. xx If you've had the downpours we've had this morning I should think OH will be paddling round the golf course.
Glamm - it's lovely to hear you're up and about, even if you're not quite better yet. People seem to be taking a long time to get over these horrible bugs, but it might be a good idea to see what the doctor says.
Lizzie - your bike rides always sound wonderful, and I can just picture you cycling along between rows of trees scattering golden leaves around you! What a pity C&A wasn't up to scratch though. I was so sorry when they pulled out of the UK.
We're still waiting to find out exactly when the tree surgeons are coming. My car has gone in for a service today so no excuses about getting on with the dreaded housework and some paperwork.
Have a good day ladies and hold on to your hats if you're out in the wind. x

Daisy she is working from home but finishes on 5th December , she has a week off this week or she would have lost those days when she leaves ,
She is off looking at new cars this afternoon , her Range rover is 5years old and thigs are starting to wear out so she's looking for a replacement .
Glamm I think you really need to speak with the Dr again this has been going on some time now hasn't it xx
Gem I hope your Mum is in a happier mood when you visit , it must be hard trying to fend off the question when is she going home bless her xx
Lizzie I have a picture of you cycling for all your worth with leaves swirling around hahaha
Nanto its nice to get jobs done and out of the way .
We went to DD's this morning then to Lidl needed fresh veg to make veg soup for tea
After lunch I did all my ironing then made the bed up again with fresh bedding ,
I find it hard work these days , B usually does it but I was upstairs ironing anyway so thought I may as well ,
The Mattress is so heavy to lift to put the fitted sheet on ,I was sweating by time I did that and put the pillow protectors and pillow cases on
I had to sit at my dressing table for 5 minutes before I tackled the Duvet cover , I am getting such a wimp

Oma, so pleased you are happy with your cardigans. Bed changing is really hard for me now, I am thinking of putting an ad on the local forum asking if anyone would come once a fortnight for a couple of hours to iron the bedding and then change the bed. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
