Plant - what a wonderful collection of Hogwarts trainee-witches! Definitely not not Miss Haversham - more one of the illustrious Founders of Hogwarts - Helga Hufflepuff perhaps. I believe she stood for hard work, dedication, patience, loyalty and fair play. And pupils sorted in to Hufflepuff House had great abilities in Herbology! I hope the rescue helicopter was on exercise.

Gem - I'm pleased BHF took most of the things, even if poor S did end up having to go back for her phone. You've both got a busy day!

Oma - not only can you not be the mother of a 48 year old, that young lady can't possibly be anywhere near 48! I hope she's having a lovely day. xx

I get the feeling you've gone off the pink wall in the bedroom!

Nanto - was dinner as good as it sounds?

We've done some more gardening today, and I've portioning up dog food and am just off to get dinner ready - avoiding the dog food, of course.

I have actually had to moan and complain for 3 weeks to get him to let me change it back to white , He wasn't happy as it has taken 5 coats to cover
      The Pink kept showing through
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Oma - your B is a saint!!!! Can you imagine what my OH would say if I wanted to repaint so quickly!

I'm not surprised it's taken so many coats though. I wonder if you will look at it in a few weeks and still think you can see a pink cast? That's happened in my study/spare bedroom. The white has never quite looked white.

Good morning everyone, I am going away today for a few days to the shepherd hut, I hope to leave at 9am. The roast dinner went very well on Sunday evening, the friends really enjoyed it.

I went to aqua yesterday, it felt really good to get moving in the water again.

Oma, I bet you never choose pink for a wall again, 5 coats!!!

            Plant, I love the photo.

Oh dear Gem, the phone story! We are lost without them! You will soon be able to relax if your mothers house is empty.

Good morning Lizzie, Nan2 and all our other visitors today

Lizzie, have a wonderful time away! We have a new pool not far away now so I am going to start aquafit after my holiday. Hoping to persuade my friend C to come too!

                Cute little dogs there Nan2!

Daisy, how is your face now?

This morning is my reflexology treatment. I had three at fortnightly intervals once we could start having them again, and now am back to monthly.
                GS1 from school this afternoon.

                Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone. It's bright and sunny here and I think it will be warm later.

Hello Nanto - I love your cute puppies.

Lizzie - I hope I'm just in time to wish you a safe journey and a happy, relaxing few days away. The shepherd's hut sounds idyllic.

Gem - how exciting having a new pool close by. You must have missed your regular reflexology during lockdown. My face is ok, thanks. There's still a bit of pink scarring from the crater, but all the scabby crusting has now gone. The skin is very pink and I'm having to try and keep it protected from the sun, but even Factor 50 seems to make it look a bit red. I don't know whether this is a reaction to the suncream or the sun itself! Still, it doesn't hurt any more and looks ok.

Morning ladies , a busy lot today ,

Lizzie have a lovely time relax and enjoy xxx

Gem nice to have a new pool you can use

Daisy I still get a very pink patch under my eye when its hot and I had mine done many years ago now , as long as your putting the factor 50 on

We had trouble with my DS's bedroom in our other house his walls were Blue , it took at least 7 coats and even up to the day we left that house i was convinced i could see the blue coming through ,
As the pink wall ( now White ) isn' t in direct light it looks ok but there were a few curse words said as it was being painted ,
I did say I would paint it myself but he insisted on playing the Martyr and doing it so its his own fault

We picking MIL up today bring her for lunch then taking her to M&S food hall , She wants some ready meals from there ,
SIL gets them for her but she wants to pick her own for a change , Fingers crossed she is in a good mood today

I will call into the Range when we take her home see if I can get something for the bedroom wall above my Bed , The Range is near where she lives

Have a good day ladies i will pop back later xx

Pleased to hear your skin has healed Daisy, I am trying to be good with sunscreen.

Going to GD1’s this morning, I haven’t seen baby H for some time. We are going to Waitrose and will have some lunch. Had a lovely lunch yesterday (GS3’s birthday) with my son’s family yesterday, we went to a Thai restaurant, I always feel so thirsty after Thai food. We are still not back to Aqua, they have opened the pool again but only for the Swim School. Both of our main pools are open and I could go for a swim, probably have to book a slot.

                      Gem, enjoy your reflexology treatment

I hope all goes smoothly with MIL Oma.

                        I had a nice treatment.
Lovely sunny day, I had lunch in the garden.

The forms have arrived from the solicitor for the house sale. I think it will take me about 3 weeks to complete them all!!
I will make start on the simple questions before I go for GS.

                              Good afternoon all.
I was pegging out some washing this morning and I noticed my SIL walking down the path towards our bungalow. She was just passing to drop of an anniversary card for us
She stopped for a cup of tea and a chat . It is so lovely to be so close to family now. Where we were before we were cut off from almost all our families and friends.

Nan2 I find its impossible to comment on all the posts .

Just had a 'run in ' with the council refuge department.
We can't have wheelie bins where we are because we are too far from the main road and its considered that older people living in the area where we live would be unable to wheel the bins to the edge of the pavements, its too far . So we have black plastic bags .... which we have to carry to the same place as the younger householders wheel their wheelie bins .
Not only do we have to struggle with these bags , we also have to buy them ourselves but if the council were to provide a black wheelie bin we would get it for free .
Honestly you couldn't make it up!
The reason I asked for a bin was because the black bag refuge collection only comes twice a month so black bin bags with rubbish is having to be stored in the shed , not very nice on a warm day with so many squirrels about.
If we had a black bin it would be so much better
The person I spoke with said that as long as we continue putting out the correct plastic bags in the correct place on the correct day we could have a black bin but on no account must we place it out on the public highway. Oh and there will be a charge of £16 .

After taking it over OH we have decided to accept the councils 'generous ' offer. We do need a large bin and to buy one on the Internet is £40-£50 .
Oh and we still have to pay for the b****y black bin liners .
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

So, elderly people who couldn't possibly push a wheelie bin can carry heavy bin bags??!! As you say Mimi you couldn't make it up could you?
