Good morning Lizzie and all who follow.
Lizzie, sad to say but some just don't care about leaving rubbish around.
Well done to GD for clearing it.

WeeGranny, hope you are having a lovely weekend visiting DD.

Gem, hope GS had a good sleepover.

I've already defrosted the freezer in the outhouse,so coffee time time now.
Then i'm going to clean the fridge. Get some jobs done before it gets too warm.

Good morning Lizzie and Nan2, and all who come later.

Good plan to get things done before it's too hot Nan2.
Well done your GD Lizzie! My SIL1 picks litter as volunteer. What a terrible accident with that poor little girl I must admit I am not in favour of small children on bikes on roads.
I'm glad the barbecue was fun Daisy. GS2 has slept here without his sister twice previously.

This morning we are taking him to Build A Bear! The other grandchildren were taken by me to Build a Bear when they were five. He was five at the beginning of April when no shops were open.
Before that we have a Tesco delivery due.
We'll take GS home after bear building, then we are meeting a friend of a friend at my mums house at 3 as she is buying the small freezer mum kept in her garage. It is SIL's birthday and they are going for family Sunday roast at 4.
Friends may be coming to us late afternoon or in the evening, but I'm not certain.

        Have a good Sunday everyone.

Good morning ladies. A much more leisurely start to the day for me today.

Lizzie what a tragic thing to happen to that little girl - her family must be devastated, as well as the bus driver. It worries me when I see families around here with young children on bikes - some don't look old enough to be school age. But the powers that be are encouraging people to get on their bikes and enjoy the countryside. You must be so proud of your GD - and good for you for helping and encouraging her. Litter is one of my pet hates.

Gem - Your GS2 is used to sleepovers with you then. I'm sure he feels very special having you all to himself. Enjoy your Build a Bear day. You're doing well with your mum's white goods, and some furniture being collected by the BHF tomorrow?

Oma - Enjoy your day seeing your friends and then your DD. Aggie commented on Sum1's thread about the rare plant she discovered recently, and was also saying about growing tomato plants from seeds she'd saved. (I'm in awe - I've never managed to get saved seeds to grow, but I think I remember Enfys doing the same thing!)

Nanto - you've earned your coffee break! How are your mum and dad? Does the warmer weather bother them?

It's dull and cloudy here, but not cold. Later on, after breakfast and probably after coffee, I'll get some more jobs done in the garden. It's looking much better so I must persevere. The washing machine is feeling neglected so I might put the bedding in. OH is going to make some planting boxes for DS2's tomatoes. Our next door neighbour had some decking type wood going spare so, ever resourceful, OH is re-using that.

Ladies, whatever you'r doing today I hope you have a good day. xx

Gem, I am not keen on small children on bikes on the roads, but, here they have to learn, they cycle to school etc. No cars are allowed on the main streets in Leiden, just the bus and taxi's. A shocking thing to happen. GD2 had her cycling exam on Friday, she hasn't heard yet if she has passed, I expect she will have as she cycles all over on her own.

Where so you go to build a bear? I know both GD's had them built when on holiday.

I see a lot here in the village collecting the litter, they can go for bags and one of those helping hands. I often think that if people took their litter home with them it wouldn't be necessary.

I have been to one supermarket and got pork to roast this evening, I need some more veg and some other shopping from the Lidl, I got a fresh spring cabbage from the veg man yesterday.

I forgot to post this! Yes, a very sad thing, the poor parents will live with it for the rest of their lives, the bus driver as well.

Daisy, litter is one of my pet hates as well.

Oma, GD1 is very caring, she always has been.

Lizzie, we go to Build A Bear at the Designer Outlet, conveniently half way between our house and theirs! When GD was 5 that branch hadn't opened opened so Leeds was the closest.
                Enjoy the roast!

Gem, this is what i Googled about Frozen.

                    Norway
While Frozen takes place in the fictional kingdom Arendelle, the kingdom was based on multiple locations in Norway. The team behind Frozen even visited Norway to gain inspiration, and you can see Nordic influence all throughout the movie.

Please excuse me not commenting on all your lovely posts, we are all feeling slightly shattered, GD2, the organiser, has just been in to say goodbye, she needs to get back to London and her partner, she has worked so hard to make the party a success. There have have been some lovely pics taken, i need to find how to post them.

Gemini, have a lovel time with GS at Build a Bear. Good luck with selling the items from your mothers home. I an sure you will be pleased when it is all settled.

Daisy, I hope your day went well. It is nice having the weather to get the garden looking straight again.

Lizzie, pleased to hear the medicine is giving you some relief, I hope they can find something to prevent further attacks. Well done to your GD for clearing that litter. We have the same problem here, why don’t people take their own litter home.

Plant you must be worn out but it sounds like it has been a great success , we will look forward to seeing the photos ,
Maybe a quiet restful day for you today young lady xxx

So far today has been lovely ,
We traveled a little way up the coast to South Shields to meet our friends ( SIL's Parents ) and went to a new Cafe we haven't been to before ,
Only us 4 and another couple in when we got there ,
We treated ourselves to Breakfast , normally we have Tea or Coffee and a Bacon sandwich but their Breakfast's looked good so we indulged .

Had a good couple of hours in there chatting and catching up then a stroll along the prom for half hour ,

We then came home and went to DD's with her card and Gift had a cold drink sitting on the patio watching Storm and his Doggie friend having a play day charging around after each other till they crashed out asleep ,

Buzz their cat was in a naughty mood today lay down by my feet and kept biting my hand every time I tried to stroke him , normally only bites men , then he decided when I stood up to grab the hem of my dress and just dangle there We will put it down to too much sun hahaha

Came home and sat in the garden for a while but its far too hot for me , B is still out there im back in the shade ,

Need to think of something for Tea but with having Breakfast and the heat neither of us can think of anything we fancy , It may be a sandwich we will see

Im not fat just 6ft too small

We have a cat like Buzz, you have to be careful before you touch him and see what mood he is in. Yet he loves to be with us, shows off to the GC and spent the whole time around at the party yesterday.

Had a lovely break at DD's. Plant's party didn't make too much noise!!!

Walked down to the pub and sat in garden with DD and SiL, C was out with his'mates'. Actually at a girls' house, but there were two other lads there!!! He's a head taller than me now and his voice has broken, so not a little boy anymore!

This morning we went over to check our proposed new house was still standing. There's a skip outside, so that was a good sign and house looks just as nice as it did all those weeks ago.
DD had email from our buyers who is 'very stressed that the legal work is taking so long and that all the movers are fully booked until the end of June'. Another one at 5.00am saying that 'they really do want to move, but it's their buyer whose holding everything up and that they wouldn't be happy having to move themselves but they would' etc etc. DD sent him one back saying that if we don't complete, this is how much we will have to pay in Stamp Duty and we don't have that kind of money. Our purchase was based on what we were selling the house for and because of OH's health problems, it fitted his needs.' We haven't yet heard back from him!

Gem, BHF can be very picky about taking stuff. If it's got any marks on it, they won't take it. At least the lads who came to pick up stuff from us didn't. We had to take it to the tip and as we were unloading, someone came along and asked if they could have it! Fingers crossed all your stuff goes.

Hope everyone has had a lovely day.xx
Believe you can and you're halfway there.

Oma, sounds like you have had a lovely day.
We had rain this morning, but this afternoon it was sun/cloud.
It was quite comfortable to sit out in the garden.

Gem,how did Build a Bear go?

WeeGranny, pleased you had a lovely weekend.
Hope things get going soon for the house move.

WeeGranny - it sounds as though the week-end with your DD and family did you good. I'm so glad your DD is fielding communications from your buyer. He sounds a bit stressy - and if it's his buyer who is holding things up that's the person he needs to communicate with!

It's quite a shock when you haven't seen a teen GS for a little while - they seem to change overnight. There's only 15 months between our GSs but both their voices changed at the same time, and GS2 is taller than GS1 - and they both dwarf their mum.

Plant - I'm looking forward to hearing all about the party, but I'm sure you needed today to recuperate after all the excitement. xx

Oma - I wonder what got into Buzz today - perhaps it's the heat. I'm sure meeting up with your friends and the stroll in the sea air did you good. I hope it means you sleep well tonight. xx

Nanto - interesting information about Frozen - I didn't realise it was based on Norway.

It was warm but mostly cloudy here, although the sun did put in an appearance for an hour or so - just at the time when I was doing stuff in the greenhouse. I've planted out runner beans and French beans - both dwarf varieties, although the runner beans needed stakes. I also potted on three orchid plants which I've been meaning to do for months. I hope they survive.
