Gem - I suppose the powers that be think they can price motorists out of your beautiful city, but sometimes you do need a car! I'm glad you managed your walk later on, even if it wasn't sunny. We had hot cross buns today as well. Easter must be on the horizon.

Plant - well done on your wine bargains - just don't let them fall out of the fridge. I'm sure your friend will be pleased to hear from you. Some people need a bit of a push to make the first move to keep in touch, don't they.

We took Eva to the paddock for a run round at lunch time, and it was arctic. I even borrowed a beanie from OH and I never normally wear a hat of any kind - it was a perishing cold wind even though my phone said 6C. We stood chatting to our friend who owns the paddock for a few minutes and Eva was shivering - I've never seen her shiver with cold before and I felt mean I hadn't put her coat on her.

Its getting a bit lighter earlier now in the mornings.

We see two young women who are dog walkers, and they are getting earlier.
They went past at ½ past 5 this morning.

Oma, i had my pneumonia jab 2 or 3 years ago.

Have a good day ladies, whatever you are doing.

            Good morning ladies.

Oma and Nan2, neither OH or I have had a pneumonia jab yet.
Poor Eva Daisy, coat on next time!

Last day of homeschooling, parents are celebrating
GD and GS2 day here. No Zoom this week as they had it yesterday to celebrate Word Book Day. We are celebrating the end of homeschooling with artic roll and jelly for pudding tonight
Lovely sunny morning, but I imagine it is cold outside.

            Have a nice Friday everyone.

I am off to Warfarin Clinic this morning, I hope my INR is okay this time.
It is my DD birthday today, weather a bit different to the day she was born. It was snow and ice in 1962.

Arctic Roll and jelly, I am sure your GC will love that Gemini.

              Will pop back later.

Hallo everyone, I am still reading the posts, but, had a very busy day yesterday, I had some sewing to do and my locker machine decided not to work with me, so, I tried all I could to revive it, that didn't help so I phoned the shop for a service and have taken it this morning, I have a sad feeling it won't return home! I have had it for more than 30 years and used it a lot, I have just been sorted the bobbins of thread out for it, I only have 8 black and 9 navy blue plus the rest. I do have another locker, that was my spare so I can use that, a friends mother died a few years ago and she was selling it, cheap, so I bought it as a spare.

It is a beautiful sunny day, chilly but better than the damp we have had the last few days. I want to hoover through then go on my bike for eggs etc. DS2 and partner are eating here this evening so I have pasta sauce in the slow cooker.

Hello everyone, I'm a late bird this morning! I got up early to portion up dog food I'd defrosted last night. Then I went to get Cooper and came back to what seemed like continuous phone calls - one after the other, so I've just sat down with a coffee and realised that's it's nearer to lunch-time than coffee time! Hey ho!

Lizzie - your poor locker machine, but 30 years is good service and you never know it may still be coming home. I love the way you shop on your bike - my first thought was that if I got eggs on a bike, they would probably be scrambled by the time I got home.

Plant - I do hope your results from the Warfarin clinic were better this time. I hope your DD has a lovely birthday.

Gem - there was an 'end of term' feeling at my GDs' house this morning when I collected Cooper, and I expect they're not the only ones. Arctic roll and jelly - what better celebration could you have! Enjoy your day with them.

Oma - I'm sure the pneumonia job is a good thing to have - I was very lucky and was offered it when they first rolled it out to specific age groups. I hope your Diabetic blood check is ok next week. It's nice that the mornings are getting lighter, and the evenings too.

Nanto - gosh, what early dog walkers, but perhaps they are dogs who need to be walked when it's quieter.

It's nice and sunny here today, but cold. It felt colder than the 4C on my phone.

                    Afternoon all.
Sorry if I haven't been able to keep up with all that's been going on here for the last few weeks, I will do my best to catch up.
This morning I had to phone the dentist to make an appointment as I have broken yet another tooth, the third one since last March when we went into first lockdown. I haven't been to the dentist since then .
I've got an appointment for Tuesday morning and I bet its going to cost me a fortune, the next day I have an appointment at Specavers . I dread to think how much that is going to cost

We have talked about getting the pneumonia jab but we've never got around to it.

Plant hope your results are better this time
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Good afternoon all. Another bright day here but chilly. Glad your move went well Mimi. I had my pneumonia jab a few years ago too.

Ive had a good few days, actually went out out on Wednesday with DD. Only popped to Home Bargains and Tesco but it felt like an adventure, I haven’t been out for so long. Bought a few bits and pieces, treated myself to some bunches of daffs and some hyacinths in a pot.

Yesterday I made a start on GDs temperature blanket and I’m really enjoying it. I’d forgotten how much I love crochet. I’ve started from January 1st so have a fair amount to catch up but that’s ok. I’m up to day 18 and it’s looking good. I’m going to put a couple of beads on the row which is her birthday.

The sun is out but it’s still quite chilly, so good to feel the sun on your face, I love days like this. Hope you all have a good day 🌞

Warfarin check good but they still want me to go back in 2 weeks to make sure it has stabilized. GD1 and baby H were here when I got back, she has popped in with present for her mother's birthday.

I arrived home with a broken egg one day Daisy, it usually goes well, all my shopping gets done by bike!! The locker wouldn't fit in the bag though so I had to use the car!! It was a cold wind whilst out on the bike. GD1 just phoned as I got home to ask if I was going with her, I told her I have to cook for her uncle and auntie so have to be home. The man I go to for veg etc also does bedding plants, he has 2,000 ready to pot so he showed me them in the greenhouse.

Enfys, I can't crochet, but, I like the sound of that blanket.

Mimi , good luck at the dentist, my appointment is for May I think.

I will make a start on the salad.

                              Evening All.
Strangely OH has bought me a small chain saw! Why? I had no idea I needed one! 🤷‍♀️ Oh well, never look a gift horse in the mouth, I’m sure I’ll find a use for it.....😬
We went to B&Q and Waitrose this morning, very daring, probably stupid as I have to have a COVID test next week as a precursor to a hospital procedure on Monday week.
Just had a delivery from Land’s End, all fit well and good quality.
What a busy day, I must lay down in a darkened room.
                              Have a cosy evening all.
