Its a late good evening from me .

First of all very excited, DD SIL and two youngest GS's are visiting us on Saturday. Its been 17 long months since we have seen them . I'm so excited 🥳

On Wednesday we received a lovely card from the vet .
inside was a lovely little poem and an inprint of our cat's paw. It's beautiful. Of course naturally I cried again.
We are going to frame it along with a suitable picture of her when I eventually get around to picking one that we like the best.

I see that a few of our ladies have had a visit to the hairdresser. My hair is looking a bit untidy but I am hanging on having it cut .If lockdown has taught me something its the fact that I do not need to have my hair cut as often as I thought I did .

Its been a lovely day here at last . We've waited long enough for some dry warm weather.
We sat outside on the garden bench this afternoon drinking coffee watching the robins , blue tits and great tits feeding their young. What a racket they made . It all went quite when a jackdaw flew into the garden!

Lovely weather today, I spent it having a picnic lunch with 15 ladies who I normally see in the swimming pool.

I feel as though I have done a days work!! Today is the day to book our Florida flights for next Easter. It was quite complicated (I'll write about it in the Travel section later) It's done anyway, and DD2 has booked too, Just DD1 to go.

* DD1 has now booked too Seated behind OH and me.

OH is coming with me to see my mum this afternoon. It will be the first time she has seen mum's room.
School pick up for GD and GS2 afterwards.

Morning Nanto, not quite such a sunny start to the day. I had a lovely picnic with my frustrated Aqua friends, it was very warm and sunny. I have to go and do a food shop today, I think I will go to M&S Food Hall which is quite close, their veg is always better than other shops. We are lucky to have it so close.

We have been to the recycle and tip this morning get that done before the crowds arrived , its always so busy there ,

I ironed and put a load in the washer when we got back , that is now drying so I left the ironing board up I will iron as they dry ,

GS1 last day at school today it doesn't seem possible he has gone from a fresh faced boy to a chiseled jaw lined man in such a short time

Oma, I have had a few nights that if I got up to go to the toilet my foot just wouldn't move with me!! Pain as well in bed, i don't want to be too soon saying this, but, the injection does seem to be working.
As I said on Facebook, a very handsome young man. Don't they soon grow!!!!

It is a lovely morning so I am going out for a bike ride, I have changed my bed etc before going.

I received the new tap yesterday, I will wait for the neighbour to fit it after his holiday, I can do it myself but can't go on my knee's so I will have to be patient. I got a message from the firm I ordered it from and I have a Grohe table BBQ as a gift! It will be delivered tomorrow, I can't use a BBQ here but someone will be pleased with it.

I also got a message that the cupboard is on it's way so should arrive next week.

Looking forward to sitting in the garden this weekend. Not expecting any visitors as DD1 is babysitting both of DD2s boys on Sunday all day and overnight. Monday she is taking all the GCs with her to a cross country event that GD1 is competing in. They are very excited to be travelling in a horse box! Not sure about the 6am. start though.

Decided to make scones today , put them in oven and they came up beautiful took them out of the oven and my hands shook and they ended up on the floor ,
Being still hot most of them broke so left with 2 whole ones and 4 rather damaged ones ,
I tasted them and they are good so the two less damaged im keeping, a bit of butter and jam and only I know what happened to them
The floor was clean by the way

Oma, lovely pics of your GS, handsome and talented, he looks a bit like his dad. Oma your kitchen floor is so clean you could eat your dinner off it never mind scones.

Been to get my shopping, fridge and freezer stocked up. Very sad, there was a very young man sitting on the ground outside Mand S, I offered to buy him a sandwich but he said he wasn’t hungry. He was shivering, it really upset me, he said he didn’t get on with family. So so sad, I presume he was on drugs, his front teeth were quite discoloured. He looked so young, no more than 16/17. he was gone when i came out. I wonder where he is now.
