    Good morning all.
Dashing out to take my car for MOT plus a service, then to meet C and P at my mum's for them to pick up the washing machine they are buying.
    Back later!

Zoom meeting with WI this morning to listen to a speaker talking about the mystery of the disappearance of Glenn Miller. I have a friend coming to join me. Apart from that no plans today. Hope to have some news about the wedding.

Good morning everyone. We woke up to mist this morning, but it's sunny now.

Gem - poor DD. Her finger must be quite painful. It's a good job you were able to go over there to help. Well done on being the Quiz star this week. Your cat sitter sounds a lovely lady. I hope your car passes its MOT.

Nanto - it's time for that day out in Sheffield before Pavers sells out of your size.

Plant - enjoy your WI Zoom meeting. Hopefully you will get back to real meetings eventually.

Glamm - sorry I didn't say about your potatoes yesterday. I think on maincrop varieties you wait until the stems die down before you dig them up. With earlies I think you can lift them when they flower and the potatoes will be small - new potatoes. I don't suppose it will hurt if you leave them a bit though. Are you pleased with your hair colour? Have a fantastic day out in Liverpool catching up with your friend.

Oma - can I send Eva and Cooper over - perhaps Storm will encourage them to snooze in the garden as well - they've been playing and running round all morning. Sometimes they're like boisterous toddlers on 4 legs.

No plans for me today, apart from "toddler" supervision!

Glamm, I've always left picking the potatoes until the flowers have died back! Don't know if that's what you're supposed to do but it's what my Dad and Gran'dad always did!

Took OH for his first chemo this morning. Rather than sit and wait I walked into town and had a look round the shopping centre, Only bought a card and an iced cappuccino. When I got back to the hospital I found I'd walked 4 miles in the heat. No wonder I felt a bit 'wabbit'!! Luckily there was an empty bench in the shade, so I sat there and waited for OH.

Came home to find message from estate agents. Buyers have made a final offer ( not enough to tempt us) towards Stamp Duty and he now wants communication only between solicitors. He's refusing to speak to the agent! This is the man who wanted to cut out the solicitors and for us deal directly with each other!!! Have said we'll discuss it with DD tonight and get back to them tomorrow. He can stew for a bit!! However, we are very tempted to take it off the market for a bit. At least it would give us some breathing space while OH's treatment gets established.

Hope everyone can find a nice shady spot to sit in this afternoon xx

I always thought you should wait till the flowers have died, before picking potatoes.

Been a busy morning. Went to nephews to take cards for his daughters birthday tomorrow.

GD2 phoned to thank us for the car. Poor lass couldn't speak for tears.
                      She ended up texting us.
Then went to see GD1, told her about the car.Gave her the same amount of money as the car was.
Can't give to one and not the other. She said she didn't want it.
                      But we insisted.

We love watching dogs having fun together on the beach. Very entertaining!
What a carry on with the house WG. I hope your OH's chemo is not too rough on him.
I'm sure both your GDs were very pleased and moved by yours and OH's kindness Nan2

My car just needed new front wiper blades to pass the MOT. Still waiting to hear the service is done and we can pick it up.
We went back with C and P to their house after they picked up the washer and spent a nice long time in their garden. A little while ago I realised I had forgotten to go to the library to do my afternoon!! No idea why I forgot, but as it closes at 4 it was too late to bother once I realised, I have sent an apologetic email.

Gem, glad you didn't need any major work on your car.
                            Fancy,forgetting about the library.

Our day, just carried on being busy.
Hubby had to go and rescue his brother who broke down in his car about 3 miles away.
                            I don't know what the problem is/was.
Then this evening hubby was taking DS1 to pick up the car we bought for GD2.
That was about 14 miles away. I just went along for the ride and change of scenery.
Car is parked up at ours now. Her dad took it to show her it.
She cried again. She's a sensitive little soul.

It hasn't been quite so sunny here today, and the storm clouds were coming over as it went dark. It was raining a bit as well.

Gem - it's not like you to forget about the library. Hopefully they weren't too busy. I'm glad your car's ok - it's always a relief when they pass the MOT isn't it!

Nanto - I know I've already said what lovely grandparents you are, but I'll say it again - you really are loving, kind grandparents to your two GDs. It sounds as they are very appreciative as well. xx

WeeGranny - oh dear, you must be so fed up with your buyers. Are the people you are buying from happy to wait or do they want to complete quickly? How was your OH after his first round of chemo? I hope he's ok. You must be tired after walking so far in the heat, and hanging around waiting is tiring as well. Sleep well tonight. Sending hugs. xxx

I didn't do much today. When the dogs had tired themselves out I sat and read for a bit - a luxury when Cooper's here as usually one or the other want attention. I took him home about 5.30 and had a quick chat with both GDs. It was salad for dinner so no cooking.

Tomorrow morning I'm going to meet a friend for coffee and then at lunch-time I'm having my hair cut for the first time in 18 months!
