Oma - I love the carpet and the new furniture. I love the rounded ends. It's not something I ever thought about until we got furniture that had square corners, especially when there are small children or dogs about!
I'm so glad you sorted out the prices as well.
How are you enjoying the new-carpet smell? I love it.
You can put your feet up and relax for a bit now.

It is Daisy! If you remember they couldn't get him into the local school, so it's 6 mile round trip twice a day.
I have to be at theirs early in the morning to take him in, so it's goodnight from me 😃“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else. A sunny morning here.
How lovely to have new a grandchild amongst us again at last!
Happy anniversary to your in laws Nan2.
An early start for me. I am taking GS1 to school. He has to be there for 8.35, what sort of unearthly time is that to start school?!! He finishes at 3.20 so seems to have a longer day than either of his cousins.
This morning we are going to mum's again. This time to move the remaining furniture and boxes into the garage. We are bringing two items home as it's easier for us and the person collecting them this evening.
Library for me this afternoon.
GD starts her Year 6 Residential trip today. I hope she has a wonderful time, and I long for Friday afternoon when I know she is safely back!
Have a nice day ladies.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Good morning early birds and those who come later.
Nanto - I hope your in laws have a lovely day for their anniversary. Seventy-six years is incredible. xx
Gem - I still think it's awful that your GS1 has to travel to a school 3 miles away instead of going to his local school! Will he be able to transfer if a place becomes available? I'm sure your Gd will have a great time on her residential.
Mimi - you're in my thoughts today. Sending hugs. xxx
It's cool and damp here this morning - not very promising at the moment. We have our first meal out today since March 2020! DS1 and DIL have to bring their car down this way for some work to be done on it, so we've arranged to meet them for an early lunch in an actual real pub, and then drop them off at a retail park as they are looking for a new sofa.
I must take Eva out for a walk before we go, so I'd better get a move on - my Rapunzel hair takes ages to dry!

GS delivered. We had a nice chat with a little girl in the playground about boarding schools. GS's verdict, he wouldn't want to go even if there was a swimming pool!
When I collected GS, DD1 and I had our first hug for over a year. Very emotional for both of us.
Daisy, they wouldn't want another move for GS, although the travelling is a pain for them when they can see the local school from their garden! He is settled at his school now and it's a good one. The secondary school he will go to is just a mile down the road. I imagine he will cycle there.
Oma, its the last of the stuff to leave the house, so it's clear for photos tomorrow. Most of it will be in the garage, to be disposed of before the house is actually sold.“A grandchild fills a space in your heart that you never knew was empty.” – Unknown

Mimi, it is very sad when you have to say goodbye to a pet.
Daisy, have a lovely meal with your family, first of many I hope.
Oma, love your new furniture and carpet, not so much dusting and dog licks.
Gemini, that is a long way to travel to GS’s school, perhaps a space will be available in the local school. You sound as if you are getting to the end of clearing your mums home.
No plans for me today, GGC will be next door so I might see them. My brain is in overload, my GS3 talked me and showed me what and how I can access things on my new IPad. He just enjoyed playing with it. Had a call from GD1, she was back from the mother and baby group and would GS and I like to go down. GS3 hadn’t seen baby H or their flat, he was very impressed. I am going to try to have a quiet day today, Yesterday, I put a cake in the fridge, couldn’t find my kitchen scissors, they were in the drawer all the time, then had a panic about my car insurance details, they were in the car insurance file all the time. I must realise that my old brain can’t absorb so much information. What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
