Good Morning ladies its been a rough and windy night here on The Wirral lots of things blown over during the night it was like a mini storm really noisy.

Mimi I do hope you managed to get some sleep at such a sad time sending virtual hugs to you.x

Oma I don't know if I mentioned about the MOT on my car I was a wee bit worried it would not pass without shelling out a load of cash to get it through the test,it did fail first time but just needed a few things sorting out nothing major but the labour charge bumped up the price the last time I remember looking at a price just for MOT it was just under £20 when I asked how much it was now it was £48. RAC who I am with for recovery etc does an offer of £19 for MOT but at their specified garages only and the nearest to me is in Liverpool so it defeats the object really.

Gems I have had the date for my appointment with Spa Medica to have the consult about the laser treatment on my eyes to correct the blurred vision I sometimes get after the cataract surgery its on 25th June so that has come through very quickly I am not nervous about this as I was with the cataracts they said the improvement will be instant did you find this ?

I have decided to have a week-end off doing anything in the house and have a another sort out of my wardrobes and maybe do a list of stuff to sell on E-bay I have some nice bits and bobs which will bring in a few £s after all the recent expenditure It is a very long time since I used E-bay to sell anything although I have bought a few things off the site.

Must go off now as DGS is due to arrive to help with shed clearance so lets see how we get on with the job this afternoon x

    Keep Calm,You're Fabulous

Good morning everyone. It's very blustery here but I've done a darks wash and put the jeans out on the line. I keep checking they're still there! Sainsbury's arrived while the man was here about the bannisters. We finally got breakfast about 10 o'clock! OH's eye is feeling a bit tender this morning, and bending down to put the rubbish out didn't help.

Plant - our house was built in the 70s and has very 70s wooden bannisters. We've changed them from white paint to plain wood and back again every time we decorate, and they never look nice, so we've decided to get new ones, with glass panels and oak hand rails etc. We think it will make the stairs and hallway look lighter, and quite honestly it's easier to clean dog nose marks off glass than keep all those wooden surfaces dusted etc.

Gem, I wonder if your mum will be very tired after having two visitors. I bet she'll have a little snooze afterwards, but will be delighted to see both of you. I' sure GD has had a wonderful time on her residential, even if the weather hasn't been very kind.

Glamm - you've definitely earned a rest this week-end! Although I find sorting out wardrobes quite stressful. OH was telling me that E-bay have changed their payment methods, and now pay directly into your bank account, so you need to register your bank details with them. I hope the weather isn't too bad to do the shed clearance.

Plant - I do hope the campers have got strong pegs for their tent - it's very blowy down here.

Oma - DD's friend must be feeling very low - your DD is very kind helping to cheer her up. You can't win with cars - it's either the hassles of MOTs etc or trailing round car showrooms every 2-3 years.

Nanto - that's a nice cheery graphic for a wild November day (oops, it's May!!)

            Afternoon all.
We got through yesterday somehow. I have to say our vet and staff were so caring, they helped us enormouenormously. We have decided to have our beautiful little cat cremated. Her ashes will be returned to us in a scatter tube. We are going to scatter them under the tree in our garden and OH saw a lovely memorial sleeping cat on Esty. Its in stone, Its very big, little just like our cat. We will put the stone 'over ' her ashes.

It seems really quite here now . We've been awake most of the night, it was so quiet compared to all the disturbed nights we had with her for such a long

The 'blown windows were replaced this morning . I did think yesterday that I would cancel it but OH said its will be something to take our minds off things .
Also we have had our water cut off this morning because of a burst pipe just outside our front gate. Plus Tesco grocery delivery has been and we have been for a walk so we have been occupied this morning.

Daisy back in the 80s I painted our stairs blue which was rather a bold statement back then . We eventually went back to having them white.

By the way I have just ordered a shoe rack to go into the porch. It has a seat on it as I am fed up with seeing OH blance on one leg whilst trying to put on his shoes. I usually wear slip 9n shoes so its not a problem for me

Thank you everyone for your knid thoughts and wishes

            Enjoy your day ladies
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Mimi - it takes time to get used to being without them, doesn't it. You keep looking for them, stepping over where they used to lie, think about "it's time for their dinner" - so many things. I think you're right to keep busy, and there's certainly been plenty going on for you this morning with windows and a burst pipe. The idea of a sweet sleeping cat memorial is lovely and will give you a special place to remember her. xxx

You were brave, painting your stairs blue! I had to smile at you saying you wear slip on shoes. My OH stood and watched me yesterday shove my feet into my laced and fastened trainers. He commented that my mother would have told me off for doing that!

Daisy I do have to admit that my trainers have been laced up since I first wore them, I just push my feet into them . My mother also would have been horrified, she would have given me a right old telling off !

Went to the opticians and found my DD was there, we didn’t know we both had an appt. today. It was fortunate as she was able to help me choose new frames. DD was off to GD1 and baby H.

Plant - that was a lucky co-incidence, both of you being there at the same time.

Nanto - we've been having rain on and off all day, and it's very windy. I've just found someone's green bag (for garden waste) blowing round our back garden. I've put it out at the front, weighed down with a stone.

Mimi - haha, fellow rebel! I get told off by my OH and DS2 for doing that. I'm unrepentant - why spoil a good bow!

I was going to do some ironing this afternoon, but I came to my senses and came on here instead.

The Glass will bring a lot of light into the stairs , our Martin has it up his stairs it looks lovely but not cheap, but Oh I can see wet nose marks on them already hahaha xx

Mimi if nothing else everything going on has kept your mind occupied , My DD gets all her pets cremated when their time is over and has little areas of the garden with cat or Rabbit ornaments on the spot they are scattered .

Nanto its still raining here , it is cold for May isn't it .

Good Saturday morning, Nanto and all who follow. I have to say you're looking particularly gorgeous this morning. xx Hopefully you won't get wet shopping.

It's rained overnight here and looks as though it's about to start again. Our lawn is getting so long we could lose Eva in it!

I was hoping to get some washing done, but not much chance of drying it outside so I might leave it. There are plenty of jobs round the house to keep me occupied.

                            Have a good day, everyone.

                              Good morning all.

Looking good Nan2 I hope it stays dry for you.

Oma mum was happy to see us both, and it was nice to chat in a three rather than just mum and me. She spent more time than ever asking about where she will go when she leaves there though. It's very hard and leaves me emotionally wrung out and out of sorts for hours. It's not always that bad, but if it gets that way I will stop visiting on school pick up day, as it spoils my time with the GC.

It was very strange driving home with just Friday-Tired GS2 in the back, no GD chatting beside me. I saw her when she and her parents came to collect GS to go out for a family meal. She had a lovely time, I look forward to hearing all about it next week!
Nothing planned for me today, golf for OH.

I hope everyone is well and has a nice Saturday.

Good morning all, a very wet Whit weekend for us, at least the wind has dropped. A lot of rain has fallen during the night and it is still falling.

DS1 has that glass panelling, at least I think it is the same, it is what now is his home office.

I hope to get to the library as I didn't get yesterday, I was chatting to a neighbour and he told me he was almost blown off his bike so I didn't bother going.
