Gem - you posted while I was typing. Sorry, repeating the 'blown windows' description. Ours looked as though it was condensation from say a steaming kettle, but you couldn't get rid of it!

I hope S has a good day on the golf course. Take it easy lifting all that heavy stuff on to your mum's drive tonight. x

Thanks Daisy. At least it's only a few feet from garage to drive and as it's only going to be dumped, we can just drag it all! It is lifting I find very hard and painful.

Very exciting for you going to friends!

Daisy, thank you, now I know what a blown window is! I had chicken, tomatoes etc etc for in the wraps, oh yes, and cheese!

I have one or two slightly blown windows, not too bad atm. I need to go to M&S with a return parcel, fortunately it is only down the hill to their small Food Hall.

Saw all the GGC yesterday, GGS has developed a high volume voice, I suppose it is because he is at school now. His sister who is two is such a sweetheart and baby H is growing fast and still smiling.

          I will pop back later.

Rain is pouring down, and its as dark as night time.

We had a blown window, that why we had them replaced last November.
It was the perfect opportunity to change the style.

Gem, we like pineapple with gammon, but it must be the only fruit i haven't got.
I might do fried eggs as well.

Morning ladies , been busy this morning ,
Went to our local Morrison's for some Pumpernickel bread
Then came back and started lifting the sitting room carpet ,
B cut it in strips then we rolled it and tied it up ready to go to tip .

I then cleaned all the skirtings and radiator after B took radiator cabinet off ,

Got text saying Coffee table and side tables coming between 2-4pm ,
Side tables turned up just after 10am and coffee table Just arrived ,
What is the point of delivery slots

going to have a rest now

Plant you must see such a change in the children every time you see them , I can imagine the noise hahaha

Gem how is the tooth is it ok for now ?
if stuff is being disposed of don't bother lifting it it make no different if it gets slightly damaged dragging it xx

Lizzie pleased to here your feeling better ,

Daisy are you looking forward to family coming next week , Is this the family with the niece who loves J who has development issues ?

Lizzie - I keep promising I'll make wraps, so thanks for the ideas - I never know what to put in them!

Plant - how wonderful having all your GGCs together, even if it was a bit noisy. They all sound wonderful in their different ways. I'm glad H's smiles have come back after their holiday.

Oma - what a busy morning you've had. It's a good job you were in with those early deliveries. By tomorrow night I'm sure you will feel you've got a new home. We'll need photos, of course.

Yes, I am looking forward to the family coming next week, Oma, but the young lady you mention isn't a relative - she's the niece of my friend M. Our visitors next week are J's eldest sister, her husband and their two DDs. The parents live in North Wales so haven't been able to visit for months. Both their DDs ended up living in and around Southampton, just by co-incidence, so they're much nearer to us than their parents. Both the girls have taken a week's holiday to be with their mum and dad, but their husbands will be working, so the numbers work out well.

I've been a busy bee this morning. I made the casserole for next week - just waiting for it to cool now so I can freeze it. In fact I made two versions - one chicken with tarragon and the other more spicy with chilli, paprika etc. I also did a few loads of washing, trimmed the edges of the lawn and then cut it. I've just got time to do a bit of painting before getting tea and going round next door.

I had a phone call from GD1 asking is I would go to JL with her, I also needed to return some bath mats I had bought, not quite the right colour. We had a sandwich lunch from M&S at her flat then went to JL. Baby H was a star, we stopped for a cup of tea (cafe with very reduced numbers open today) I bought baby H another cardigan. There is a playgroup near her which GD is planning to go to, not very confident about it, I do hope she goes she needs the company of other mothers. GS3 coming tomorrow to have a look at my new I Pad, I am sure he will confuse me.

Oma, I hope you got some more sleep last night. Well done to the footballers.

Gemini, I hope it will not be long before you finish dealing with the contents of your mothers house.

Daisy, lovely to have visitors again, are they staying the night with you? You have been busy with cooking, gardening and painting.

Oma, my tooth is fine. The little ulcer/abscess thing on the gum above the tooth I had taken out which the antibiotics is meant to be sorting is still there though. I have (bizarrely!) a check up next week. If it's still there I am going to ask if she can drain it or something.

                      I had a lovely afternoon
I decided to have a rest afternoon, between all the furniture carrying!
I put my feet up and watched Rocket Man on Netflix. I saw it at the cinema but enjoyed it just as much the second time. I even ate an almond Magnum while watching!

OH came back from her golf day. She had a good day but it rained heavily! No rain at all here.
She came home and after a cuppa we went to my mum's and moved all the furniture to be taken away from garage to drive and covered it with a tarpaulin.
Tea now then the quiz at 8. I am the quizmaster tonight.

                        We like Magnums as well.

Daisy, well done for making two casseroles. Will be lovely for you to have visitors next week.

Had quite a bit of rain again today, but sun is shining now.

We had a lovely evening with out neighbours - how nice to get out again. We social distanced!

Plant - no, our visitors aren't staying overnight. It's just for coffee and lunch. Good luck with your new iPad. It would be lovely for your GD to meet other new mums at a baby group of some kind. Is she still under the watchful eye of a health visitor? If so they would be able to recommend somewhere, I'm sure.

We had much less rain than was forecast. Just a couple of very light showers, and in fact it felt a bit warmer in the sun.

Gem - I hope your quiz went well. I'm sure you needed that rest this afternoon.

It was lovely an hour ago,but clouded over a bit now.

Gem, how did the quiz go.

All being well, BIL will be coming home today.

I'm just off to collect Cooper for a play date with Eva. I'll pop back later.

Yesterday was a wonderful day. We had our first cuddles from GD,DS and DIL . We are still waiting for when we are able to see DD ,SIL and youngest GS's from Wales but hopefully that won't be too much longer now as DD and SIL had their first vaccines a few weeks ago .

Daisy our windows are being replaced on Friday. Its weird looking through some them at the moment as by the evening they are misty in between the panes of glass.

Nan2 I don't like pineapple with gammon, its far too sweet for me. I am happy to have it plain with plenty of mushrooms

We had casserole for lunch on Sunday and as I had made plenty there was enough for lunch yesterday. I think casseroles taste nicer the next day, it seems to have a 'richer'taste .We also had some of Sunday's uneaten pear crumble with chocolate sauce.

In June its our wedding anniversary and as pubs and restaurants have opened up for indoor eating we have booked a table for the two of us. The pub is 2 mins walk from our bungalow, if fact we can see it from our ( misty) windows. Where we used to live we would have had to travel into town to have a meal and that would have been a half hours drive. Just hoping local lockdown doesn't come back into force

We are taking the cat to the vet this morning
