There was nothing we could buy them really,so we just bought a flower arrangement.

Hopefully BIL will be coming home from hospital today.

Oma, everything goes on Rightmove and Zoopla anyway, so it doesn't really matter which agent you go with! We went the one we'd bought the house from and the chap who did the valuation seemed more professional and less pushy than the other one!

Spent most of today at hospital. OH had his oncology check up and the nurse doing his bloods got called away and they forgot about him until it was time for his appointment with the consultant. So he had it done and then we had to wait until it was processed adn the consultant was running late, so I thought we'd never get done. However, as we were sitting waiting the chap who did his neck dissection came along and stopped and had a chat and checked over his scar. OH is being referred to another oncologist and will decide what treatment he needs. He's being kept on his present medication for the time being, and it seems as if it may be that which is causing the rash! Again we wait for appointments!

We had a removal company come round to give us a quote and we have another tomorrow morning. The one I originally wanted, is booked up until August which is not much good to us! Hopefully, we'll have a completion date by the end of the week and then we can get the move finalised! The buyers had a trainee solicitor who was intent on crossing the t's and dotting the i's and it wasn't the buyers asking silly questions that was the reason for the hold ups!

WG removal isnt cheap is it you will need a bank loan to pay for it
Sitting around and getting forgot about isnt the best day but at least your home now

Storm managed to Christen my new carpet ,
Down one day and he gulped his dinner down fast came into the sitting room and brought it all up on the new carpet

Luckily its none stain and you can bleach it , i just cleaned it up quickly and blotted the spot with kitchen paper and all good , at least we know the none stain works

Nanto - what beautiful flowers. I'm sure your in laws were thrilled with the bouquet and the lovely message.

WeeGranny - things are moving along now, by the sounds of it. Your poor OH having to wait so long, but it was good of the surgeon to stop and have a few words and check on his scar. How is the scar healing? Was the surgeon happy with it? Will you have to transfer all treatments to another hospital when you move? I'm glad all the silly questions have stopped now and hope you get completion soon. I'm sure you will be relieved as well. xx

Oma - I'm so sorry, but I laughed when you said Storm had deposited all his dinner on your new carpet. That's dogs for you - no sense of occasion! Thank goodness it didn't stain though!

It's an early start for us in the morning - OH has an appointment for his eye injection, but we have no idea whether he's due to see a consultant as well or not! So we could be in and out in half an hour or be there for hours.

Good morning Nan2, good morning others! I hope everyone is well and Grauntie is home.

Nan2 it's fine here but it does look a bit cloudy.
Daisy I hope OH's appointment goes smoothly.

Grandma's taxi is on the road again this morning! This must be the last time, as GS has a teacher training day tomorrow, and the car should be repaired today anyway.

Today the estate agent is going to my mums to take all the details to put it on the market. The photographer too. We will go over early as OH wants to cut the grass (weather permitting!)

Then we are going out for lunch! My first eating out, inside or out, since before the last lockdown. OH has eaten outside at the golf club. We will go to the tea rooms at Rodgers furniture store. Surprisingly perhaps, this is a little gem. Fantastic food, proper china, waitresses (even before covid made everything table service)
It was the last place I had lunch, with a friend, just before lockdown#1, and the first place OH and I had lunch last summer when we were allowed out again. So, it has to be the place for our first freedom lunch this time!
I may buy a coffee table in the store, prompted by Oma's purchase. They have lovely ones there and it has been on our 'to buy' list for about 5 years now! It can be my reward for all the furniture lugging

Been to Aldi for it opening , we were supposed to take MIL for new scatter cushions at Dunelm but she has just cancelled again , this is the fourth time in the past two weeks ,
All lock down she has moaned about them then when we could go for them she has cried off .

OH is over at mum's cutting the grass before it rains! We will both go over to meet the estate agent at midday.
I got GS delivered to school, got back to my car only to see his bag in the passenger seat footwell. He had got out and left it there. So back to school I had to go
