Clover, going to back to work might be good for you.
As you say,you can always give notice,if you find its too much for you.
Lovely to have your DS1 for the weekend.
Hope your BIL is k and makes a speedy recovery.
Gem,hopefully you will get some relief when the antibiotics kick in.Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

WeeGranny - fingers crossed all the solicitors work together to give you a completion date before the end of June. It's always the understairs cupboards that gather the most bits and pieces isn't it. All these jobs being ticked off your list must be reassuring and quite satisfying. I hope your OH's 'difficult' stitch is ok.
Gem - I was just asking how you were on the Dry Socket thread - but don't worry answering now I've seen this. What a relief it must be to get it seen to. xx
Clover - it's good to get out and about, even if it is a bit chilly and I hope both you and your DS1 are having a good week-end. I hope they find out what is the matter with your BIL - hopefully he'll be back home soon. I think it's a good idea to go back to your lady. I think it helps to have a bit of routine in a week and as you say you can always resign if it's too much for you, but in the meantime it will be doing them a favour too.
Glamm - I wonder what happened to your hanging baskets. Did you have a frost, or are they in a windy spot? I hope the fuchsias do well - I love to see them in tubs and baskets.
Nanto - you are good batch cooking like that. I know it makes sense and saves the daily chore of cooking from scratch, but I hardly ever convince myself to do it! I shall be the one at your back door tomorrow sniffing the air like the Bisto kid with wrinkles.

We were going to spend all day in the garden, but got foiled by the coffee machine this morning. We had decided to skip breakfast, have a coffee and get out there. The coffee machine had other ideas. It throws a hissy fit (literally) every so often when it needs descaling. Today was one of those days! OH said he'd do it - it takes about half an hour and we can never remember how to do it. So being methodical, he got the instructions out and tried to follow the silly pictures - no words. It's worse than building flatpack Ikea - at least a bookcase won't spit steam at you! An hour later, we were finally sitting down to our coffee and it was so close to lunch-time we decided to have that and then go out.
Things improved and we repotted all but one of the banana plants - I didn't realise we had so many! Plus a hydrangea and then we ran out of compost. OH is overjoyed (not) that we now need to go back to the garden centre next week to get more. I managed to get a few other odd jobs done as well, in between playing ball with Eva who eventually went to sleep in the greenhouse.

Good morning all. Wrap up warm if you are doing an Easter egg hunt today .
How is everyone.
Yesterday I was feeling a bit down . I think it was because on Facebook many of my friends were posting pics of their
family get togethers it brought home the fact that we haven't seen our DD and GS' s for over a year now . I know there is light at the end of the tunnel so I should focus on that .
By the way thank you admin for the email. I haven't actually opened it yet but I will today.
We don't have anything planned for today which is nice as we have been so busy this past month.
Next week OH has to travel to Birmingham hospital for his outpatient appointment and I have to travel to Ross for a mammogram plus we are having a load of gravel being delivered and ...... now sit down for this bit of exciting news..... we are expecting a delivery of ...... a new green wheelie bin ... I know , the excitement of it all !
Have a lovely Easter and don't eat too many chocolate eggsBring me sunshine in your smile.

Good morning everyone, and Happy Easter Sunday.
Clover, how lovely that your son is with you. I think your decision to resume work but give it up if it becomes too much, is a wise one.
Daisy, do banana plants produce bananas??!!
WG, your DD helping sort out cupboards reminds me that DD3 offered their help with my mums house. We can't be in the house at the same time, but with the keycode they can go alone. I will discuss it with her today!
I hope you had a nice family afternoon Plant.
Glamma, such good news about Jim. He must be made of strong stuff! So sad about your other neighbour though.
Wow Mimi, living your best life, as they say, next week!
Oma, it is a sad day for you xxxxx
The clove paste treatment the dentist put in yesterday has stopped the pain. Sometimes you need it again after a few days, but by Tuesday my own dentist will be open should I need any more help. If not (fingers crossed) I have an appointment the following Tuesday.
This morning DD and SIL3 are coming round. This afternoon two friends. Garden or conservatory, weather permitting. It's sunny at the moment but seems cold.
OH is cooking a Sunday roast at some point
Have a nice day, eat chocolate

GD2 going to see her poorly GM today. Sad time turning out the house, they have already filled one skip. House clearance company will see to the rest.

Daisy maybe the wind a few nights ago was too much for it the bracket is on the corner of the bungalow so it may have received the full force of the wind that night

This next week I am going to start painting throughout doors/frames/radiators/skirtings etc then my friends husband is going to wallpaper my feature wall in the lounge I bought the paper before this last lockdown I must find it as I can't remember what it looks like to be honest I just know it is a dusty pink sort of colour x

Good Easter Sunday morning everyone.
Gem - so glad you're feeling better - take it easy with the chocolate eggs, though.
Nanto - it's nice to have a day of letting everything drift by.
Mimi - no drifting by for you by the sound of it. It's more like wizzing round at 100 mph! I can't believe you're getting a new green wheelie bin and a load of gravel as well as a mammogram. Your cup runneth over. xx
Oma - sending love and hugs. You must still be wondering how that could have happened so quickly to your fit and active brother J. xxx
Plant - Enjoy your Easter day lunch. It's a sad day for your GD2 though. xx
There was a slight frost here overnight, but the sun is shining and it's a lovely day, even if not very warm. It does lift the spirits when the weather is good.

Lovely sunny but a bit chilly day. GD1 her partner and baby H joined us for lunch. GD2loves her. GD2 went to see her GM but she was asleep so she played her some music. In the afternoon the phone rang, it was the care home wanting to tell GD that her GM woke up and said she loved her. Of course that made her cry and also upset GD1. How lovely that they wanted to let GD know that. GD1 is reluctant to go and see her because she knows she will cry.Last edited by Plantaholic; 05-04-2021, 08:58 AM.What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

Awww, Plant, it's lovely that the home phoned to tell your GD that, and I could understand your other GD not wanting to go as she may cry. I would rather see my GD even if she cried though, I think we all would.
We spent time with DD and SIL 3 in the garden this morning. By the time our friends arrived at 3.30 it was chilly, so they sat in the conservatory, us in the dining room.We had tea and hot cross buns. It was lovely to spend some time socialising today.
