Hi Ladies thanks for
your get well wishes I’ve been a bit emotional with this damned virus I feel (although I know It will it ) will never end and my reflux has kicked in too , we are both exhausted, no energy Xmas decs will have to stop up till I get round to it, I’ve coughed for England and if I thought this was going to last 2 years like the last cough did I will hibernate 😖
My Dd has asked us for dinner tomorrow and I really want to go but this cough is so spasmodic I have no control over it and it doesn’t help my waterworks , managed to chat on here but completely jiggered now
Hope everyone enjoys New Years Eve I think this is the first time I have gone to bed before midnight 🕛
Enfys hope P will cope with the chemo he has much bigger problems than I

Good morning all and a very Happy New Year.

We had a quiet evening in, so what’s new 😀. A few fireworks going off but otherwise very peaceful. Didn’t stay up, couldn’t see the point really, apart from thankfully waving farewell to a spectacularly rotten year!

So here we are at the start of another year, nothing much we can do to make it a better one just keep everything crossed I suppose. Trying to make the most of the good days and keep going. I have started a new knitting project.....sock making and in four needles too!! Like knitting with a hedgehog 😀. Have a good day everyone, 🌞 hope all the poorly people are feeling tons better.

Qwerty, the idea of Chatbox was just somewhere for a daily Hello. For when there is no time to post anywhere else, or nothing else to say. No need to post here if you don't want, but in a way it is the place to post when you have nothing particular to say, if you see what I mean


We had such a fun night and in bed by 3.
This afternoon we may go for a walk as it is a nice day. We are still in bed. A bit of clearing up to do downstairs once we get up!

Went to bed about 11, tremendous firework display went off at 11.30 so I might as well have stayed up to watch it from the windows. Going next door for a lunch today GGS and his parents are coming too. I have started to take down my decorations, the cards will stay up. I have had an atrial fibrulation attack for nearly two days, very annoying and I can't see my own doctor until the 16th Jan.

That’s so awful Plant. When I used to get my palpitations they thought it was AF but not, thankfully. Very disconcerting, that’s a long wait to see the doctor.

I feel a little better today still washed out and tired but as I didn't get to bed till 5 and up again at 8 that's understandable I suppose ,
My chest hurts my nose is sore and I had a massive nose bleed last night , Amazing how far a bit blood can spread , I was covered so was the carpet as I dashed to get tissues

Put some washing on and I will iron that later if I can be bothered apart from that another lazy day for me ,

Enfys - none of us know what the next day will bring to us, and as Oma says take one day at a time, and make the most of good days. I'm sure your GD coming home will lift everyone's spirits, and she will have so much to tell you. Sending hugs. xx

Oma, glad to hear you're a little bit better, but do take things easy - step away from that hot hissy thing. xx

Plant - poor you. Will you see a different doctor? It's so frustrating when you can't get an appointment with the doctor who knows you. But in the meantime enjoy some cuddles with GGS today.

Qwerty - it's surprising how these winter bugs knock us out. Take your time and if you don't feel like doing something, don't do it. I think it's Nature's way of saying 'slow down, give yourself chance to recover'.

Nanto - you must be exhausted. Have a couple of Nana Naps to try and catch up on your rest.

Gem and Grauntie - I think we are the only party animals! I'm just hoping Grauntie has survived uninjured!!!
