We're back at home! We had planned to stay overnight at DS1's, but OH's sore throat was painful and making it difficult to talk, plus we didn't want to spread his germs round, so we decided to come home. I'm sure OH will sleep better in our own bed, and to be honest I'm so tired I could sleep on the floor, but the bed will be better.

I'm sorry I can't catch up with everything tonight, but I should be back to normal tomorrow!

    Night, night everyone. xx

Oma sorry to read that you & B are still poorly. Enfys what a sad time for you both. Hoping the second chemo goes well for your OH. Daisy sorry OH has gone down with the lurgy. Hoping all poorly people soon get well.

Although I'm exhausted we're having GS2 & GD for a sleepover. Their mummy is chief bridesmaid for her best friend. Means she can stay as long as she likes & have a tipple or 2 or 3 or 4....you get the idea. Roll on Sunday evening❤

        Morning ladies.

Daisy I’m sorry you had to cut short your visit but for the best. Poor OH ,these lurgies are certainly doing the rounds. My OH is still coughing but these coughs do linger. I’m full of cold too. I know I’m not 100% when I don’t fancy food..Probably a good thing but with Christmas goodies still around it’s a shame.

Enfys such an emotional occasion for you at the best of times. I really hope OH and you can put it behind you and that the chemo. goes well.

This morning we are going to see the new Mary Poppins film with DD and GC.then a quiet afternoon while aforementioned go to panto.rehearsals.

Hope your day goes as planned everyone.

Hubby says it's very mild this morning.

Hope all the poorlies are feeling better soon.
I've just been sorting all the flowers and changing the water in the vases.
Going into town this morning, so we will be eating out.

Thank you Clover, hope you and G both feel better soon. Enjoy the film.

I’m going to be busy cooking this morning, want to get some braising steak in the slow cooker and make a banana cake with some oldish bananas. Unless I get sidestacked of course.

Hope all those feeling poorly get well soon, there’s so much going around at the moment, we need a cold snap to kill off all the bugs. It still feels very mild here. Have a good day everyone 🙂

              Good morning everyone.

It feels mild here too Nan2.
Poor OH Daisy, I hope he feels better soon. He will feel better at home. Its rotten being unwell away from home, Even when it's with family.
I hope you and OH feel better soon Clover. I hope you enjoy the film. I hope we may go and see that this week.
I hope all goes well with the sleepover Nana.
I hope everyone is well or recovering.

Today I will phone mum to see if she needs any shopping, and go and see her. She will have appreciated the past two days doing nothing and seeing no one I am sure, as she found Christmas quite tiring.
I may try to type up the minutes of the December meeting today, then it is done with.

                Good morning everyone.

A nice slow start to the day for me today! It feels like luxury!

Clover - I'm sorry both you and G are still under the weather. Take care, and I'm sure your appetite will come back soon. Enjoy the film.

Enfys it was such a sad day for you but I do hope you both slept well and I bet that braising steak smells wonderful.

Oma - how are you and B today? I hope you're not racing round doing housework!

Nana - it sounds as though your house is full of flowers - how lovely. Somehow I've missed out on lots of Christmassy flowers this year, but I have got a large bunch of pale pink roses which the GSs gave me a week ago. They're still looking very fresh - the flowers, not the GSs.

Gem - it's really mild here as well. I noticed yesterday our lilac bush is sprouting and a clump of marguerites keeps pushing out a couple of flowers here and there.

It's amazing, but we have NO plans for today apart from taking Eva out!

Daisy, speaking of flowers, we are overrun! Well not quite but we have 3 lots.
My mum gave me big bunch which they had sent her on behalf of my sister. She said she had no room for them, with Xmas stuff and also my DD1 had taken mum some flowers when she saw her.
Then DD1 gave us a bunch of flowers when we had GS1 overnight on 22nd.
Yesterday our neighbours gave us a bunch for cat feeding!

LOL, Gem - they're a bit like buses aren't they. None at all and then they all come at once. I love having fresh flowers around the house.

Aww, take care and feel better soon Qwerty

It's that time of year isn't it? A few years ago I had chest infections over Christmas and New Year 2 consecutive years. I remember feeling a bit sad as both years I slept alone in the spare room to avoid disturbing OH. I began to think it would happen every year, but touch wood it hasn't for a couple of year or more now.
                        Take it easy.

Oh dear, all you poorly ones, hope you all feel better soon. We all managed to stay bug free Christmas, we had the lurgy earlier.

No flowers for me this year, my sister who always sent flowers instead of a card died this year, I bought myself some yesterday. Can't believe it is the weekend, I seem to have lost a few days, no plans for New Year.

Good morning all.I've just come back from Tesco, I needed just fresh bread and milk and I am proud to say that I resisted the temptation to buy tubs of sweets and chocolates that were reduced to half price, we haven't touched what we have here.

Nan2, hubby is correct, it is very mild out. I went out this morning wrapped up for winter and I was so uncomfortable

Qwerty, new year resolutions! Do tell, what have you written. I don't usually make them as they are often broken by the 5th January

Hope our poorly ones are on the mend, what we need is some glorious sunshine and long summer evenings, oh roll on spring
Bring me sunshine in your smile.

Oh poor Oma Please don't go out again until you feel well. Manage without whatever it is, or ask others to help you.
                                Sending love xxx
