Oh didn't know they were attempting it.

I lost house phone and mobile plus signet ring today. GD2, who is home atm came in and found house phone in my bed and my mobile on my sewing table, no sign yet of ring. I have looked in my gloves and coat pocket, not too worried as it isn't an expensive ring and not sentimental. My hands were cold and my engagement and wedding were loose too. Lovely aqua lesson, feeling very relaxed and tired now, it was lovely to see everyone.

Pleased you are having a lovely time with family Clover, nice to have a break.

A belated Happy New Year to all GRUssers! It's been a bit of a hectic week with hospital appointments for both of us and trying to catch up with having been away! I think I'm finally getting there.

Sorry to hear of so many poorly people and hope you all soon feel much better. We need a cold spell to get rid of all the nasty germs that are lurking about.

Speaking of which, it's turned much colder here since this morning, but it's still grey and miserable.

                Evening All,
I for one am glad of the cold weather because my fridge freezer has gone Kerput and the man can’t come until Tuesday! I have another freezer but the fridge stuff is now outside the back door in a large plastic storage box with a paving slab on top! It reminded me of the meat fridge my mother had, how awful, but we lived. 😆
plant, I hope you find your ring. Last week I ‘lost’ my pen knife, a £20 note and a favourite pair of craft scissors. Pen knife was in a coat pocket, £20 was in a handbag and the scissors which I had searched for hours for were in a box with the Christmas cards I had taken down! There is hope!
Nanto2, this is a sign for you to abandon the ironing.
Clover, it sounds as if GD has been saving the leggings just for you!

                  I'm always losing things!!
I do hope the ring turns up Plant.

The cold weather is your friend then Grauntie, until your freezer is repaired!

                  Welcome back WG .

3 degrees on my car just now as I was driving home, brrr!

Oma - I still haven't got any space on the bookshelves - they were piled high before, now they are much tidier and easier to find. I hate cleaning the shower drain - horrible messy job.

Clover - what a talented family you've got. I bet both GD and GS loved having you there to see their show.

Nanto - that sounds like a busy but pleasant day.

Plant - it's so easy to put things down without thinking (it is for me, anyway!), but I hope your ring turns up safely.

Wee Granny - happy New Year to you, too. It's surprising how much there is to do when you get back home. I hope everything went well at the hospital for you and Mr WG.

Grauntie - if your fridge and freezer are going to break, this is a very good time for them to do it. All the Christmas goodies have gone to a better home, and it's more than fridge-cold for the food outside. I hope it can be fixed though.

It's gone cold here as well.

A few days ago I searched high and low for a roll of bubble wrap I know I had as I had bought it to wrap the northern ladies gifts in when we met in York just before Christmas ,
We searched in every cupboard , The wardrobe, The shed ,The loft couldn't find it anywhere ,
I rang my DD as I knew she had a huge roll in the garage to get a length from her to wrap a few decorations up ,
Then yesterday morning I slid the wardrobe door open and there it was on a shelf in there right in front of my eyes , Both myself and B had looked several times in the wardrobe and we both swear it wasn't there before

They said it would be frosty, but no frost here.

Oma,we have done that.Looked for something, couldn't see it.
                            Then looked again,and it's there.

Hope all the poorlies are on their way to a recovery.

                              Good morning all.

                              Cute teddy Nan2!

A dull start to the day here, but as long as it stays above freezing with no snow and ice, I'm happy.
No firm plans, but I want to drop in on auntie, and begin to take down the decorations. I have one last story for the Christmas Challenge buzzing round in my head, so will try to write that.
I fancy fish and chips for tea. OH had them on the night I ate out with friends before Christmas, but it is ages since I had them.

Have a good one, whatever you are up to.

                                Good morning ladies.

The frost did arrive - everywhere was white over here. I nearly missed it because I didn't wake up till 9 am! But it's bright and sunny now, but Grauntie's fridge goodies would still be safe outside - it's definitely winter.

The worst thing I find about losing things is that I'm convinced I know where they are - but I'm wrong!!!

Gem - I hope your auntie is feeling better.

We've still got to put our decorations up in the loft - the landing is like an obstacle course with them!

OH has got an hospital appointment for an eye injection this afternoon. He'd much rather go in the morning and get it over and done with, but it can't be helped! At least he can keep busy this morning to take his mind off it.

Gem - I'm glad you've got another story on the boil! It would be great if anyone else would like to contribute too - if you've never tried writing a story, have a go. It's fun.

                                Have a good day everyone.
