    Good morning.

Daisy, I'm curious about Gems story about a white peacock as well.
Hope you get the washer fixed today.

Lizzie, hope your knee is better soon.

Oma, glad to you had a good catch up with your friends.

Gem, hope you enjoyed the theatre.

    Not much happening here today.
Later this morning we are having a walk up to the chemist/ pharmacy whichever you call it. We still call it chemist. Need to pick up meds.
Next door is Farmfoods, I need some cooking oil, and want to see if I can get some different ice creams.

Sometimes I forget to like posts, but that doesn't mean I don't like them.

      Morning ladies.

Sorry, I will write about the white peacocks! ( It's not that interesting though!)

We enjoyed the play, but just arrived in time, hot from rushing from the car park , and the theatre was hot!
Lovely to have an unexpected night out and lift into town though

GSs 2 and 3 are coming today. We are going to the library, not sure what else yet

        Morning ladies,

        Nanto
I like the ice cream sandwiches in the pale blue box from farm foods ,
Think there is 8 in the box quite a good size and ideal if you just want a plain ice cream.

        Gem
What did you go to see, Did it finish late ?
How is DD today have you heard yet.

We off to Aldi then go get MIL a peach Melba cake , told his sister yesterday to tell us to take one in today,
She's moaning about the food so I'm taking her a beef sandwich in and some biscuits.

It's a bit breezy this morning but still nice and mild .

          Good Thursday morning, everyone.

Nanto, what a pretty basket of flowers.

Gem, I'm glad you enjoyed the play, despite being a bit hot and bothered. Have a good day today with GS2 and3. At least if the weather's dry you can want to take them out or they can play in the garden. I hope your DD1 is feeling better. xx

Oma, I think your MIL must be feeling better if she's grumbling about the food. I've never heard of peach melba cake! I must live a very sheltered life. .

I've had my hair cut this morning, and it feels so much better. My lovely hairdresser says it's in really good condition - it's hard to tell yourself because you see it every day. I've done some really exciting jobs this morning - washing make-up brushes and cleaning jewellery! The washing machine man has just arrived so I hope I can get on with the huge pile of washing that's built up. I need to do the packing as soon as everything's dried and ironed, and we'll have to take Eva over to DS2's this evening. She can stay there then till we get back from holidays. She gets very excited and they all make a big fuss of her, so we miss her but don't worry about her missing us.

Daisy, it is good that your treatment is not affecting the condition of your hair. Your caravan holidays takes me back to our caravan holidays. I am sure Eva will enjoy her holiday too but be very pleased to see you when you get back.

Gemini, busy day for you entertaining two GS’s. Theatre trip was unexpected and a bit of a rush.

Oma, what is peach Melba cake? I hope Mil will be pleased with it, she does make her demands.

Nanto, I keep choc ices in the freezer, I must have a look to find something for a change.

              Good afternoon ladies.

I bet you are looking forward to your holiday Daisy, and Eva hers

Oma, yes the play did finish late. It was longer than we expected. It was about Seebohm Rowntree (son of Joseph) and very interesting to us who live here. DD3 works for the company so was interested to go. It had a very big cast. Professional actors plus some local people making up the crowds.

We had nice morning, the boys played well together here then we all went to the library. I signed GS3 for the mini (under 5's) reading challenge. They don't have to actually read the books but have them read to them! GS2 who will read way above the required 6 books over summer to complete the challenge didn't sign up, he never has and doesn't want to.
We came home had lunch then GS3 went down for his nap. They are both here until after tea.
              Another hot day

A peach Melba has a pastry bottom filled with peach slices a tall swirl of fresh cream and covered in peach coloured fondant 😁

MIl was on full form still has infection but she's doing ok, her oxygen levels keep dropping so untill they level out she will stay in.
On steroids so eating anything put in front of her.
We had a chat to the sister, COPD nurses were out this morning had a good chat with her. Dr has been and the smoking team but by the time they came after the COPD nurses had been she was too tired to talk to them so they were going back at tea time,

Glad MIL seems to be doing ok.

I forgot to look at the ice creams in Farmfoods. We have got some in the freezer though.

Gem, i bet the play was very interesting. I like things that are about real people.

Daisy, nice to be told your hair is in good condition.

                      Good morning. It's raining.

Daisy, hope you managed to get all the washing done, ready for your holiday.

Later today we have some stuff to take to the tip, so on the way back we are going to KFC for dinner.
We certainly know how to live.
Not much else happening here today.
Hubby will be out for his usual Friday meet up.

                        Good morning ladies.

It rained here overnight Nan2. It was a hot night I thought.
Yes, I bet you would have enjoyed that play.

Oma, it sounds as though peach melba tart is a new one to all of us!

Aqua for me this morning, I rarely go to the Friday morning class. This evening I am going to the theatre with a friend. We are going to see A Man for All Seasons. My OH will drop us off and her (soon to be ex) OH will pick us up. It's kind of them both. We both drive but the car parks near that theatre will be full on a Friday night and the bus stop is a fair walk from the theatre.

enjoy your evening, good to get lifts there and back isn't it.

The tip and KFC , by gum you do know-how to live 🤣

I'm surprised no one knows about peach melba, it was named after Dame Nellie Melba.
It's also made with ice cream .
Must just be a north east thing .

Dog day today so I have gave my. Kitchen a good clean and washed the paintwork downstairs .
Haven't dusted as there will be plenty of fur to dust later.

I know about Peach Melba and who it was named after Oma, but as a dessert with ice cream, not a pie .
I'd be happy to try it though!

Like Gemini, it is years since I had one but never with fondant.

Nanto, enjoy your trip to the tip. Never had a KFC

Gemini, have a lovely time at the theatre, much easier to be dropped off and picked up. It takes ages to get out of our theatre car park.
