Plant, hope your granddaughter is better for your holiday tomorrow.

I'm going to get a load of washing going.

Hubby brought a load of cooking apples a couple of days ago. Going to make some pies and crumbles for the freezer. Half will be left plain apple,the other half will be mixed with blackberries.

Salad for dinner at hubby's request. Probably have chicken goujons with it.

Well I'd better get cracking.

I'm a big fruit fan though so anything with fruit in I will eat😁

It's a nice morning, I think GS coming over today no doubt he will want feeding.
I have to go out and buy a new mop today ours has just broken so B finished washing the floors by hand for me ,
Well only the hall and bathroom , the mop held out for the rest.

I have a wash going so that can go out when it's finished,

We went out for tea last night, went to a place we haven't been for a while as last time we were there it wasn't very nice, but we heard it had been taken over,
A lovely Indian couple and their family ,a very warm welcome and the food was much improved,
I was debating between the carvery that looked lovely or the fish and chips,
I ended up with the fish and it was delicious, fluffy white fish and crispy batter.

The lady on the next table had the carvery, she said it was gorgeous and the gravy was thick rich gravy,
I will try it next time.

B had chicken tikka it smelt good and he polished it off , said it was nothing like the last one he had there.

Nan2, I must do something similar with apples from our tree. Many windfalls had to go in the garden waste bin but there is a big bowlful of good ones. Apple crumble tonight maybe

I am expecting a friend to come and pick some Victoria plums, the tree has been overloaded this year, we managed to use the purple ones. H dad is taking her out so her mother can get on with the packing. You would think we were going for a month, I have lists of lists.

Oma, that sounds like a good meal. You can put that restaurant back on your list.

Gemini, we have heavy crops too on our apple trees. I hate wasting fruit.

Nanto, Sounds like heavy crops in your garden too. I am sure you will make use of yours.

Nanto, you are going to be busy, it's a good job you had an early start to your day. If you've got the same weather as us your washing should dry very quickly.

Oma, Such luxury - a new mop. I'm sure GS will want feeding and am surprised he hasn't put his request in, bless him. How is how summer job going? It's great when a disappointing restaurant gets taken over and improves so much, They deserve all the custom they can get, and your meals were obviously winners.

We picked all the ripe plums yesterday - about 21/2 kilos - so OH is going to make jam with some and freeze the rest - I'll probably stew them first. I picked quite a large bowl of small tomatoes this morning which will come in useful as we have visitors tomorrow and Tuesday. I had a surge of energy first thing this morning and got a load of jackets, kagouls etc in the wash. They're drying nicely so I've now put another load in - fleeces this time. I usually do them towards the end of Spring, but didn't get round to it this year. There are still much thicker winter coats to wash as well.

He's been enjoying his Job, he only has another few weeks before they go to America then back to Uni ,
They have said he can go back for the Christmas break if he wants too, so I think he will,

I'm so jealous of your and Plants plum crop, I wish I had fruit trees , I would love a garden with a orchard , it was always my dream ,
If you remember I did try but Storm uprooted and ate them all before bringing the remains into me 😀

Good thinking getting all the jackets etc washed while it's nice weather,

I got my new mop and it came with a spare head as well so I'm well posh now 🤣

GD making sure she misses nothing , I suppose packing for 3 and unsure about the weather she's packing for any eventuality weather wise.

I wish we had a plum tree!

There are many many more apples on our tree Plant. We usually get a good crop and like you hate to waste them. We give a lot away.

Daisy washing jackets etc in your burst of energy was a good idea.

Oma, the treatment begins on Tuesday yes, although she has the first of her 3- monthly bone infusions tomorrow.
Quite a lot of appointments over the next month, but after that it should settle to once a month appointment and bloods, and infusion every 3 months.

Hallo everyone, Daisy, I am fine, well I hope to be after Wednesday! You have been busy with the washing, I was doing some sewing then decided the material was not right so I got a bag, I dumped that and quite a few remnants that I have put in my cupboard over the years!

It is cooler here but very humid, I hung some washing out early on and it is as damp as when I hung it out so I have brought it in.

I am going to DS1's for a meal later on. GD1 and BF are enjoying themselves in Croatia.

Gem, I do hope that all goes well for S, does she have to be admitted for the infusions?

I hear from everyone that it is a very good year for fruit trees. I saw that with the blackberries!! When I am out on the bike I look at them all still hanging and think "what a waste"!

You will be pleased with a new mop Oma.

Lizzie, as Daisy knows, the infusions are a fairly quick affair.
All her treatments should be short outpatient ones (although who knows how long the wait for them will be?!) The bone infusion is at 8.30 am tomorrow so she shouldn't be delayed.

Plant, the apples weren,t form our tree,we haven;t got one.
Where hubby and his pal go walking,an elerley gent put a basket full out to help yourself.
Some of them were a bit bruised and had gone bad inside.
I mixed them with blackberries and made 2 pies and 1 crumble.
Its been very cloudy here today,but the washing dried.
Sun came out about 5ish and its still sunny.

Good morning, dull here as well Nanto, I don't mind!!

I am going to do the coffee, sit on a higher chair, I hope, then it is fine, walking and standing are the most painful. I hope to get a bike ride in this afternoon.

I had a meal at DS1 last night, I enjoyed it, GD1 phoned me whilst I was there to tell me about their day, I told her I was sitting in her place at the table!

They all go to New York on Friday for 10 days, then, DIL has to go to New York for her work at the end of September, so , DS1 is going with her and they are making a few days of it, he will work from the hotel whilst she is at the congress. They certainly get around.

I would have been going away today for a few days.
