    Good Sunday morning, everyone.

Nanto, I wonder what your hubby ill find at the car boot sale? My OH loves a full English, but I never think of doing it for a main meal. It sounds a good idea.

Gem, I've had a quiet chuckle at the vision of you and GS2 trying to cram that enormous balloon into your car. I had visions of GS holding on to it while it streamed out of the window, bobbing along. I hope OH enjoys the golf, and you get a bit of time to relax. xx

Oma, washing must be on everyone's mind today. I've got a load of whites to do! I'd be happy to find the right swimsuit anytime. I usually end up with tankinis - they seem to fit better. I'm not keen on the food waste collection idea. Yes, it's bound to get smelly and maggots are never far away. The outdoor caddies we've got have a locking handle so I don't think cats could get in to them, but our free-roaming donkeys have no trouble at all, and it's causing all sorts of problems. They tip the caddies over and stamp on them. Heaven help us when the pigs are let out as well. The Council say caddies have to be left outside your property, but if they said leave them just inside your gate if you're on open Forest it wouldn't be a problem. We used to do that with all our bins when we lived in a house on the Forest. We've got cattle grids at each end of the road we live in now.

I need to do some ironing today (boo hoo!) and am trying to get some gardening jobs done as well. Otherwise everything will have to wait until we get back from holiday.

Hallo, Oma, the olives are never big enough, or ripe enough, to do anything with.

It does seem to be a problem with your food containers.

Gem, the balloon certainly was huge!

We have had a slight shower, I may go for a bike ride as my legs gave me h### during the night! It isn't very often that happens, luckily.

GD1 ordered hand held fans for their holiday to New York, she told me it is very hot there at the moment, these can be loaded with a USB cable.

Daisy, we have brown caddies to hold wrapped food waste which has worked well so far but I have a new one with a lockable lid but some animal has found they can open it and I am finding the contents spread around outside the back door so I will have to bring it in every night.

Gemini, GS looks very proud of his very big balloon.

Gem, what a lovely photo. He certainly looks totally at home camping.

Plant, we have bin bags (supposedly compostable) for food waste in the caddies, but they're no protection against the donkeys, and we're all worried that they could easily swallow the bags with dire consequences. Could it be squirrels or foxes that are getting into your food caddy - they're both very determined where food is concerned.

Lizzie, I hope your legs are ok tonight. When does GD1 go to New York?

I didn't get the ironing done, but I did the washing and lots of gardening and had just gone back in when it started to rain. I've portioned up some dog food - I need to do enough to last while we're away - and did some online shopping, had a chat with my sister-in-law, who has kindly invited us to Sunday dinner when we're on holiday - we're staying quite near them. Ready for bed now!!

                  Sleep well, evryone.

Daisy, the whole family goes to New York, I think on 19th August, not sure really as they all go away this Friday as well, GD2 has a kite surfing camp with her friend. It is on one of the islands, DS1 and DIL love that island so have booked a cottage for the week, dropping GD1 off at her friends , they are in a holiday home, on their way. Then when they return GD1 goes to Croatia with her BF!

My legs were fine last night, thanks, I think it was the heat etc.

                    Love the camping photo Gem.

Looks a brighter day than yesterday.

Lizzie, a busy time for your family.

No particular plans today for us,as yet. Just general housework for me.

Dinner is chicken and bacon lattice, carrot, swede and potato mash. Haven't decided which veg yet.

                              Good (late) Monday morning, everyone.

Lizzie, I love hearing about your family's jaunts - they sound so much fun.

Nanto, thank you for the pretty butterfly.

Oma, You're so efficient getting housework done each day like that. I wish you lived next door!

                              Plant, enjoy your lunch.

Gem, that sounds like a nice, easy but fun day, although I'm not so sure about the supermarket trip! Will you stay out for coffee and cake afterwards?

I'm not feeling great this morning. I was horribly sick last night, and it's left me feeling tired and a bit wobbly. I don't know what caused it, unless it was something I ate. I'm ok now, but food isn't an attractive option!

My lovely GS1 is 22 today. Where did those years go!
