Good Monday morning, everyone.

Gem, I hope S's first infusion has gone ok, and she didn't have to wait around. Did she take a book or something to read while it was being done? If we have to wait it's usually because a prescription hasn't been signed or the pharmacy hasn't sent the drugs up to the ward.

Plant, our posts crossed yesterday. I hope you have a good journey down to Cornwall. At least it won't be too hot travelling today. It's harder to pack for one week away in this country than for a month in the Caribbean, so it's sensible to pack for all weathers. Have a lovely time.

Lizzie, your family are very busy with their travels, but it sounds a lot of fun. I'm sorry you've have to put off your break at the moment though. I hope you feel better soon.

Nanto, it's dull here as well. I'd left washing out overnight and it had dried, but I'm glad I brought it in really early as it's been trying to rain. I always think it's kind of people to put their gluts of fruit and vegetables out for people to help themselves. I hate seeing produce go to waste.

Oma, I've always wanted fruit trees, but have never been successful with apples - we've got 3 trees at the moment and only one has a reasonable crop on it, one of our two pear trees has 4 pears, but the plum trees have done well this year. Your GS has certainly made a good impression at work if they want him back at Christmas. He's a good lad, isn't he.

DIL1 and a friend are coming for lunch today. They're on their way back from a week-end on Brownsea Island (in Poole Harbour). It will be lovely to see them, but I'd better get a move on and get prepared.

Daisy,I hope you enjoyed lunch with DIL and her friend.
All went well with the infusion and not long to wait. Its not at the main hospital but a smaller site elsewhere, which I feel will be better regarding any delays. She came home with 3 boxes of calcium tablets!
She enjoyed her golf and lunch and I enjoyed my class and coffee.
Time to do some printing for tomorrow's meeting!

Gem, yes, thank you, it was great to see them, and lunch was ok - just a ploughman's.

I'm so glad S did n't have to wait long, especially with it being the first time. I hope the calcium tablets taste nice. Mine are lemony and quite pleasant.

We ended up having a busy day.
Went to hubby's sister and he helped her hubby move some furniture around upstairs.
They unexpectedly came to ours later in the afternoon.

Been quite cool today, i hope that isn't our summer over with.

We went to M&S this afternoon, then GS came for his Tea he had shredded Duck with pancakes,

He's going to see Oasis at the weekend and needed a cheap tent as him and his friends are camping out ,
So I ordered a one from Argos for him and he went off to collect it after tea.

My neighbour has just knocked with 3lb of blackberries,
He brings them every year but this year they are better than usual very plump.

He works as a maintenance man at the local fishing club, and they have lots of blackberry bushes.

I have put them in the sink to wash then I will put them in the colander to drain and leave on a tea towel to dry off before I freeze them.

Oma, what will you use the blackberries for - crumbles? I hope GS enjoys the Oasis concert at the week-end.

I'm off for an early night - I haven't slept well for the last two nights and have had a couple of busy days. We've got another visitor tomorrow for lunch - a special friend from College. She no longer lives locally so we look forward to the occasions when we do get together. We're also having next door's dog, Missy, for the day. They have to go to a funeral some distance away so Missy spending the day with us is one less thing for them to have to deal with, and she gets on very well with Eva.

I'm going into town with hubby when he goes to meet his pal.

I'm taking another skirt to be shortened.
Need a few bits. I want another pack of non slip coat hangers amongst other things.
Taking a few items to the charity shop.

Jacket potatoes for dinner with cheese and beans. Need to use up some coleslaw as well.

Dull again today. I think the sun will be back later this week though.
Committee meeting for me this morning. As is is my regular library morning, I will pop in after the meeting to see if any help is needed. I will go with OH to her hospital appointment this afternoon.
My back is really bad this week (overenthusiastic aqua class with a different instructor on Friday set it off, made worse by some exercises I would have been wiser to avoid at yesterdays class!!)
I am trying ice and heat. I wish it was my massage week!

How did you sleep? Hope it was better than the last two nights, was it just those restless nights or were you uncomfortable?

Yes we use the Blackberries for crumble and in Apple and blackberry pies,
I had some on my all bran this morning they are lovely.
I laid them flat on two big baking trays and put them in the freezer last night,
I've just bagged them up.

Hope you get what you want in town today,
I bought some none slip hangers from Lidl last week nice and sturdy with sort of ridged rubber on the top.
I have the velvet coated ones that work well but these are better.

Very damp here and a bit chilly,
Hope it's better weather for Plant.

Might pop to farm foods this morning,
I've just put Bleach down both toilets B said it smells like the swimming baths in here 😁

Oma, I won't have much time at the library once my meeting is over, and I will probably just call in and say hello to be honest.

The cats are not happy! They are having to stay in as we have someone replacing the broken and loose slabs on our drive. Although there is a gate separating it from our back garden he need to come to the back for water and electricity, so they have to stay in. Being confined plus the noise of drilling isnt nice for them!

I've just pottered today,
Bees waxed the tables and cleaned bits and pieces,
Put a couple of throws in the wash and cleaned the stair lift ,
Just general stuff.
B just been to Argos for a new scanner, ours decided to stop working,
We have had it years.
Not much to do really, I'm a bit bored now.
