Oma, i couildn'y get the hangers in town. if we are near a Lidl at the weekend i'll have a look.

i've pottered as well since we got home from town.
Packed the meat from the butchers and got it in the freezer.
Also got the cooked meat i bought into the freezer.

We had drizzle this morning,but its looking brighter now.

By the time we got back from the hospital he had cleared up and gone so we let them out.

Nanto, what a sweet graphic. Will it take long to have your skirt altered? Is it a new one? I think all coat hangers should be non-slip. So often clothes end up on the wardrobe floor, all crumpled up because they've slipped off the hangers. I hope you can get some from Lidl when you go there.

Gem, I do feel for you and y our back. It's so tiring when you get continuous pain like that. When is your massage due? I hope the heat and ice help to ease it for you. Sometimes just sitting in the wrong sort of chair can be a trigger - not all chairs are supportive of a poorly back. I hope they were ok at the library committee meeting. Poor cats. I'm sure they were cross with you for not letting them out, but it was for their own good. Does your drive look better with the new slabs?

Oma, enjoy those blackberries. It's good to have some in the freezer for later, and I think they keep their flavour and shape very well. I hope you put your feet up and relaxed this afternoon.

I've had a lovely day with my friend. I did a beetroot, red onion and goat's cheese upside down tart with salad and homemade coleslaw for lunch. It's really easy to do and is a bit different (for me, anyway). We managed to catch up on everything - we know quite a lot of the same people, and it's always very special to have time together, so much better than our usual WhatsApp messages. The dogs have enjoyed their day and had lots of fuss. Missy's owners are due back soon.

Yes, thank you, I slept well last night, and felt fine today. One night's sleeplessness was probably the pint of zero alcohol Guinness I drank far too late in the evening. My own fault.

Aww glad you slept well Daisy.
My skirt will be ready on Saturday. It isn't a new one,but i've only worn it a couple of times.
I turned it over at the waist when i wore it,but it wasn't comfy.
If it had been a straight skirt,i would have done it myself,but it has a pleat at the front.

We have had rain overnight. Hope it's a bit warmer today, the past couple of days have been quite cool.

No plans for us, will probably be just a run of the mill kind of day.

Good Wednesday morning, everyone.

Nanto, I bet the rain was welcomed by everyone's gardens. It's still very dry here, even though it's overcast and cooler. My OH says can he share the gammon and pineapple, please. Cheeky chap that he is. That skirt will be much more comfortable when you don't have to turn the waistband over. I've got a couple of pairs of crop trousers where I do that, and it never feels quite right.

Gem, work always piles up when you least need/expect it to, but it's good that the library is so well-used. I hope Aqua has been ok today and your back isn't painful. The good sleep will have helped S to get over the exhaustion and anxiety about yesterday.

Oma, go on, treat yourselves to lunch out. It makes a nice change.

I'm trying to catch up on a few jobs round the house. I won't do much as I feel quite tired after two days of visitors, even though they are very welcome. OH has gone to his pal's to play with cars.

Spent an hour with DD & SIL , then we went to a local Castle that has been restored,
Had lunch there it was so nice to see , as all our childhood memories of it is being derelict.
It's all run by volunteers and the grounds although small are well kept,
This photograph is from several years ago it's all spruced up now with real windows etc 😁

Aqua was fine, I just avoided some moves! I had coffee with two friends afterwards.
OH who wasn't well last night (I will update on YEO) is much better today.

Hallo everyone, I have just got back from having the cysts emptied, 15ml, the doctor said "it must have been painful quite a while" she was right! I have had an injection and hopefully it won't fill up again, I have to go back for a scan to see if it stays empty. It was painful, but, the last few months have been painful as well so I just gritted my teeth and let it happen. I can walk etc but not do too much the first week or so.

Oma, that castle does sound nice. I called for a coffee yesterday in a "Tea garden" run by friends of the Care farm not far from here, I have read about it and thought about going, I called in yesterday and was impressed, a delicious cappuccino. A few that are in the farm with starting alzeimers help with serving etc.

Daisy, now that my knee is empty I will try and get my windows done, on second thought, I will wait as I have been warned!

It is so warm here, they forecast it cooler but not as yet.
