    Morning ladies

    Gem
I think yesterday was just too hot for anyone to do anything , GS had the right Idea stay still and just draw😁

    Daisy
Poor J those drops are awful they sting like crazy.

    Nanto
You always feel better after a haircut don't you, you feel nice and tidy.

    Lizzie
It's the same the world over , children have no respect,
Did you get a cuddle of the baby 😁

Your GDs are going to love you getting them the mascara, it's quite a bargain.
Pleased GD got there safely and boyfriend is able to arrive today.

    It's overcast but very warm.
I did a big white wash this morning that's on the line.
Went to Aldi did a bit shopping and got MILs milk,
We are having a cupper then we will pick her up.
B will ring the ward first make sure she's ready and got her meds , no point going down iff she's not.

Oma I hope all goes well with MIL getting home. I agree no point you going down unless you know she's being discharged.
GS2 was very happy with drawing, a bit of reading, Teen Titans on TV and plenty of drinks and snacks We did go into the garden a bit, but not for lunch

        Good Thursday morning, everyone.

Grauntie, sorry I didn't see your post yesterday, but sympathise over the stinky dogs! x

Nanto, Lovely fuchsias. They're one of my favourite flowers in the garden for this time of year, and seem to flower for ages. You always feel better after a hair cut, don't you.

Lizzie, how awful that your neighbour has quit teaching because of pupils' violence. It feels as though law and order is being ignored on a daily basis here, and it's sad to hear it seems the same for you. . It's a worry for us all, I think. I hope the baby's doing well. I'm sure your GD will be delighted her BF arrives today.

Oma, I hope MIL will be pleased to be home, but I won't hold my breath, just in case. Seriously, I really hope she is feeling much better and be grateful for B's and your help.

Gem, what kind of things does GS2 enjoy drawing? He sounds very artistic. My GD2 is always happy to paint, especially on pebbles which she can choose from the garden! I don't know what happens to them when she gets home though. It's good that your GS also reads. I hope he's inherited your love of books.

Plant, I agree - plenty of time to post when it's cold, wet and you just want to stay indoors in comfort. Take care. xx

No plans for us today. OH might do some gardening - even in this dry weather the weeds seem to be doing well! We'll take Eva over to GS2's early evening ready for my early hospital appointment tomorrow.

Very overcast this morning, GD has taken H out, GD had my other GGS and GGD overnight. I sat and watched the girls in the pool, got soaked! I was so tired yesterday evening I went to bed early.

Lizzie, what a shame your GD and her boyfriend couldn’t travel together, hope they meet up today.

Gem, H is only just drawing recognisable things. Your GS must be going to be artistic. I hope S gets on okay at the hospital.

Daisy, I hope your OH’s eyes are less sore this morning. Have a quiet day.

Oma, Be interested if they do discharge your Mil and how she gets on. Has B got his own own model plane?

Apart from fetching some tablets from the local hospital later when GD has finished with my car, it should be a quiet day. With DD and Sil away in France, I am more involved with GD and H. We are on a weeks holiday in Bodmin from Monday.

What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare

GD1 has just phoned, BF hopes to arrive at 4pm. She said she was a bit scared at first going alone but thought if she didn't it would mean 2 extra tickets!!!

It is so hot!! I haven't spoke to anyone that likes it so hot!!

Oma, the baby was asleep all the time we were there, so tiny!

Daisy, it is a strange time for children growing up. We have a huge problem with those electric (fat bikes). They are flying all over the roads on them from a very young age, as someone said, with nappies on!!! The police do checks but they can't check them all.

I hope its not to hot on your holidays , just nice and warm, I'm sure H is excited going away with Grandma 😁

              Daisy
I think we could all do with some rain, even if it's just to cool the air down a little, especially at night.

Picked MIL up , would you believe not one wheelchair to be had in a huge hospital

So we had to walk very slowly from the ward down the corridor to the lift,
Luckily there are seats outside the lift.
Then it's quite a hike to the entrance,
Took us 15 minutes just to get outside as we had to keep sitting her down,
B managed to carry her bags with his sticks to the car then pull the car to the door,
By then I was contemplating just picking her up and carrying her,
She's no weight so I probable could.

Got her home , made her a cup of tea then made her lunch.
Carers were supposed to be there at 12.15, we had to leave at 1 still no carer, got a message that it would be 1.30 before they got there,
She was exhausted so I said just doze on the sofa they can use the key box to let themselves in.

His other sister will go up later,
I put her bags upstairs and put everything on the spare bed so she can go through them when she feels up to it.
B made sure she had her emergency alarm necklace on and she promised she would use her walking frame if she had to get up.

I feel worn out myself, I was terrified she fell, although I had hold of her she was still wobbly.
I came in and took two headache tablets.

I'm going to get the washing in then sit with a cupper and my feet up.

Oma, that is disgusting!!!!!! No wheel chair in a hospital!! I hope that your MIL can manage on her own now!

GD1 has just phoned, BF as well, he had just landed so in fact he has done very well to arrange it all etc. I have told her I will stop "stalking" her now that I know she is safe.

Thats a shame that your neighbour had to give up teaching.

                  Oma, glad MIL is home.

Nothing else to report, apart from saying the hairdresser came nice and early.

Lizzie, good to know the bf is there. Your GD should be proud of herself, it's a big thing to travel alone like that unplanned.

Oma, I hope your MIL settles back home and copes ok

Plant, my GS2 is 9, much older than your H.

Well plans slightly changed today due to the hospital ringing to say the person OH had the appointment with wasn't qualified to authorise the drugs form Thank goodness they did notice or OH would have had a pointless trip to the hospital. They wanted her in at 12 instead of 1.30 to see the right person. She quickly changed and I drove her in as the bus wouldnt have got her there in time. Little E fell asleep in the car on the way back, then didn't sleep at his afternoon nap!

There was an advantage to OH going earlier in that it coincided with our friend G's lunch break and they met for a quick lunch after the appointment.

OH, little E and I collected lots of fallen apples up this afternoon. He then watered plants with his little watering can, and watered his clothes pretty liberally too. He loves gardening

Lizzie, I'm not sure what fat bikes are, but the thought of relatively young children riding round on public roads is scary.

Oma, the NHS is wonderful in so many ways, but how can they not have a wheelchair for an elderly patient! I hope the carers turned up when they said they would. I can understand them being late - it only takes one or two clients to need a few extra minutes, plus unpredictable traffic. I think it's a very difficult job. But o wonder you had a headache. I hope it's gone now and MIL is ok tonight.

Gem, a bit frustrating that the hospital were so late realising that they needed to change OH's appointment. I hope little E was ok without his afternoon nap. Did you have a lot of fallen apples? OH's brother in North Wales said he picked up over 100 apples and pears after storm Floris last week. I always enjoyed gardening with our grand children when they were little. Watering was always a favourite for them and a licence to water themselves, me and any passing dog!

OH did a lot of weeding this morning, and I pottered round a bit. It got very hot towards lunch-time though. Much as I love hot weather, it's not suiting me at the moment. I put a load of Eva's toys in the washing machine and they dried nicely on the line. They smell much better, although I don't think Eva would agree.

We've got an early start tomorrow for our 3rd hospital appointment this week! We will probably go straight over to DS2's to pick up Eva and hopefully be back home fairly quickly.

Sorry, I did have my doubts about what they are called in the UK.

Gem, a good thing the hospital noticed in time.

I will check in later on, another HOT day forecast!

This is the dreaded fat bike!!!

                          Good morning. Sunday is shining.

Gem, glad the hospital realised their mistake.

Lizzie, the fat bike looks a bit of a beast.

No cooking today, we are having fish and chips.

Got my annual gynae check up today at 2.30.

                            Hope the Appointment goes well,
                            Nice easy dinner,
MIl said yesterday she fancied fish and chips so Bs sister is getting her them today.

                            Gem
What a carry on with the appointment but at least she could see her friend , always a silver lining 😁
Was GS grumpy without his afternoon nap or was the sleep in the car enough?

                            Daisy

Storm gets very grumpy when I wash his toys m he throws them around and paws at them till they are suitable dirty again 😁
Take it easy today after your appointment ,hopefully it's not as hot for you today.

                            Lizzie
I don't know if we have bikes like that, only ones I have seen are E bikes,
But I haven't seen one up close so I may be wrong.

I have been up early so I gave all the doors and skirtings a wash downstairs and the kitchen cupboard doors ,
B striped the bed so that's in the wash
Did it before it gets too warm,

We have the dog today so I'm hoping it's not to hot poor thing he's not happy,
If it gets too warm we will put the fan on for him.

                              Good morning everyone.

Nan2, fish and chips good, gynae appointment not so good! Good to get it over with though.

Oma, I'm sure doggy will be glad of the fan today. Little E requested one for his nap yesterday!
He wasn't grumpy after his very short nap, but by home time he was behaving like a crazy happy drunk person

Lizzie, that looks like an e bike, but I'm not sure.

Daisy, 3rd hospital appointment of the week
Good to have it early though. OH has an 8.30am one on the other side of York on Monday.

Golf with a friend for OH today. Aqua morning for me. My aqua friend and I are going to lunch afterwards.

They are E bikes Gem, only very low with wide tyres, hence the name! Usually ordered through Ali or Temu, dangerous and no knowledge of use of the roads. I saw today that a young man, 26 years old, was killed on one yesterday. Happens daily!
