Gem, it's been chilly here today, and I've had a cardigan on most of the time, and eventually put socks on as well as my bare feet were cold.

Good morning. Looking dull out there. I don't think its going to be warm today.

Plans for today are changing the bedding and cleaning upstairs.

Asda delivery between 9 and 10.

We might be going for a pub meal today,if not it looks like being egg, chips and beans as i didn't take anything out of the freezer.

        Good morning everyone.

        Cute kitty Nan2

        Chilly start here too.
Little E day but DD3 has the day off. I had a very confusing phone call with her last night, which left me unsure of what is going on today! I may be having him as usual, or for part of the day, not all, or maybe meeting up with them.
I told her to let me know this morning

I am happy to report that OH is feeling much better. 'Back to normal ' apparently.
She is preparing to go to the golf club. Not playing as today is an Open, which she and others will be volunteering at in various roles . She has promised me she will leave if she feels unwell or tired. It's only a couple of miles away, so she can come home for a rest then go back if she wants.

Both our cars are on a driveway a few doors down . The lady lives alone, has no car now and has kindly allowed us drive space. We were advised to not drive on ours until after the weekend.

I hope the sun comes out today!

          Morning ladies

So nice to hear S is feeling ok today but hopefully she doesn't stretch herself to much today
It's good she's doing normal things though.

          Nanto
Enjoy lunch either way, both sound good 😁

We went to Aldi earlier it's blooming cold out ,

I'm off to Dunelm after we have a cupper, I need new fitted sheets ,
We changed the bed and I ripped the corner bit so badly it couldn't be repaired,
B usually does it himself but I decided to help, he said it was brute force I used 😁

GS came at 11 pm last night to borrow our small fold up garden chairs,
He's off to the gig this morning at 6 am with his friends and they are camping in the field till I think Sunday.
He had raked the garage and couldn't find his fold out chair so us to the rescue.
I was in bed reading my book so he came up to give me a kiss and a hug before he left,
          He's a good lad .

            Good Thursday morning, everyone.

I'm just on my way out to meet some College friends, so I'll pop back later.

I am going over to DD3's then going out to lunch locally with her and little E. But first I have to reverse off the neighbours drive .....

I hope you enjoyed the pub lunch Nan2.

I drove to DD3's and we then went in their car out for lunch.
They are catching an early train to Edinburgh tomorrow so I left DD packing and GS napping
OH still not back when I got home, which is a good sign.

                    Good morning.

Gem, we did enjoy our pub meal.
Fish and chips today, so another day without cooking.
                    Hope you enjoyed yours yesterday.

While hubby is out this morning, I'll tidy round and do the ironing, hence the graphic.
I'm sure someone comes in the night and dumps their ironing here.

                      Good morning ladies.

Second day of no cooking Nan2, sounds good
We say the same about ironing. How can two people generate so much?!

GS2 day. We will be popping into the library, not sure what else yet.
                      Golf for OH.

Still feeling chilly here but they are forecasting a warm bank holiday weekend .

Good morning, still very warm here! I have managed to do the windows indoors, I am so pleased that my knee is working again! I was getting ready to order a walking frame!!

DS1 and family are at Schiphol for their flight to New York, I think they fly at 11-30am.

GD1 and BF arrived home on Wednesday evening. I saw GD1 yesterday and they have had a really good time. Making use of Ubers and walking miles!!!

A young girl was murdered early the other morning, only 17 years old, she had been out with friends in Amsterdam, was cycling home when someone followed her, she managed to dial 999 and the lady on the phone heard everything that happened. I tell the girls never to cycle or walk alone in the dark! They don't always have the choice though, if they are leaving work or whatever in the winter it will be dark.

Good luck with the ironing Nanto, I used my iron yesterday to iron a water stain out of a wooden side table, it works as well.

                          Morning ladies,
I say the same , how much can just two people generate,
I agree with Nanto I'm sure the ironing fairies play tricks on us 😁

We have been to our local Morrisons for MILs bacon , she will only use their bacon and has a sandwich every lunch time , the smoked streaky is hard to come by, seems only our local Morrisons and one in Newcastle where his sister lives has it in.

The homeless lady that sits outside , I asked if she wanted anything to eat ,
She said could she have a Costas hot chocolate and a strawberry trifle,
I got those and a few other bits like Mr Kipling's slices , a pasty, some chocolate and a fruit tub and other bits ,
That's my good deed for the day,
I won't give her money as she told us before she's a drug addict but she's happy with food.

Having my hair coloured and cut at 12.30.

Oh Lizzie how sad and what a wicked world we live in ,
That poor girl and the operator hearing it all 😞

Pleased your walking better hopefully a few more days and you will be running a marathon 😁

I have used a iron and a damp cloth to get a dent out of my wooden coffee table , the old ways are the best so they say.

Good Friday morning, everyone. Even though I keep thinking it's Saturday!

I didn't make it back on here yesterday. Between going out for lunch and then going to friends' for dinner there wasn't much time. Today is just as busy - Sainsbury's coming half an hour early didn't help, and a pal of OH's has just been with his GS and they've gone for a ride in the kit car - the little lad was very excited!

Lizzie, how awful about that young girl, and it's something that will haunt the operator for ever I should think. It's good news about your knee though, and I'm sure you're busy just keeping up with your family's travels. I hope they have a great time in New York.

Gem, it's great to hear that S is out playing golf. Definitely the best tonic at the moment. Have a lovely day with GS2, and I hope the weather warms up a bit.

Nanto, two days off from cooking - how fantastic. I hope the ironing is now done - I don't know about ironing fairies, I think they are evil little elves who deposit piles of ironing on me. I've put off doing the washing all week because I knew I didn't have time to iron it, but needs must and I've got 2 huge loads for today.

Oma, being homeless is one of the worst things I can imagine, and I'm sure that lady is very grateful for your kindness. Good to hear MIL's appetite is good, even if it means trips to Morrisons for the "right" bacon for her buttie.

She sits there quietly and doesn't beg , she does have a little tub that people drop coins in but she never asks ,
There for the grace of god go I , so the saying goes .

She looks at least 60 but when you talk to her she sounds much younger,
I think the drugs have taken their toll on her.
