Planning on cutting the grass today after hubby has trimmed the hedge.

Dinner is chicken and bacon lattice pie, mash,peas and sweetcorn. Not forgetting gravy.

I had a lovely birthday. I put a link to the place we had lunch on my birthday thread.

The sun in out this morning and that wind seems to have dropped.
Golf in Bridlington for OH. Aqua for me this morning. I am giving one friend a lift there and back. Her car broke down the other day and her OH is also playing golfing in Bridlington and needs her car to give another player a lift. Massage for me at 4. Not a time I would choose as I will be travelling back through busy traffic but needs must!

It's nice and sunny but I'm a bit rough this morning,
Throat very painful and kept me awake but I'm ok otherwise just tired and ache all over.

I had plans for the garden today but that's gone out the window, it will wait.

Poor Finley is so poorly with a viral infection, you would think his little body had been scrubbed with a pan scrubber ,it's all red and rashy , Clare said he just wants cuddles and has cried for 2 days,
That's not like Finn he's a happy little boy,
Got another Drs appointment this morning bless him.

On the plus side Clare was at the hospital yesterday and the brain tumour has shrunk so much , they will give her a MRI in September if it's still the same they will withdraw the drugs slowly and just monitor her from then on .

Good Wednesday morning, everyone.

I'll pop back later - I've been trying to post for over half an hour, but the phone keeps ringing, and OH is out. It's a nice day - warm and sunny, but I find I can't cope with the heat at the moment, so we're not going to dog training. It would cause chaos if I fainted on top of Eva!!

Myself and B have just spent 10 minutes playing hunt the glasses,
I had them on my face then I went to answer the door to the post man
Opened a few letters in the kitchen and a parcel, then
took the recycle stuff out came back in and couldn't find them.
So I hunted around and B went out to the recycle bin and emptied that in case I had thrown them away.
Couldn't find them anywhere.
So I retraced everything I had done and found them on the hallway shoe cabinet.
I must have taken them off when I answered the door and put them down , but I can't recall doing that.

One of those days I think , tired and forgetful 😊

I have been out all morning to an embroidery group, just had a bite to eat and soon I will be off to my Games afternoon, so will pop back later.

I had coffee after aqua with the friend I gave a lift to, and our other friend who isn't doing classes atm due to a bleed behind her eye. She lives alone and I think it did her good to come and meet us for coffee.

Weather is warm.
While hubby trimmed the hedge and then strimmed all the edges in the garden, i tidied up inside.
Then i went out to cut the grass.
I know i'm blowing my own trumpet,but the garden is looking well.

Nanto, I think the gardens are getting into shape after a slow start. We have had sunshine today but unfortunately I have been mostly indoors.

Oma, I hope you are feeling okay and that the virus hasn’t taken hold. Poor little Finn, I hope he is better soon. Good news about his mum. I thought you were going to say your glasses were on your nose all the time. Gardener coming back to finish tomorrow, he is a very tall burly rugby player.

I have been indoors all day and missed the lovely sunny day. Didn’t win a game this afternoon but made a nice card at craft this morning.

It has been a beautiful day, after a few ominous clouds this morning. We've finally got some plants for the pond - only 3 at present, but we're still moving rocks around on the rockery and don't want to risk damaging new plants. OH came home from shopping with 6 more tomato plants. They're late going in to the raised bed, but they're quite well grown so should be ok. I miss not growing from seed though.

Gem, I'm sure your friend with the eye problem was delighted to spend some time with you and your other friend this morning. I hope the journey home from your massage wasn't too stressful, and you're feeling relaxed and ready for your holiday. How did OH get on at golf at Bridlington today? It was hopefully a nice sunny day for her. I don't know how big the pond is - it's quite small - I'll have to measure it, because I have no idea! EDIT. OH says it's about 6/7 feet long and the width varies from 3 ft to about 4 ft - a sort of kidney shape.

Plant, it sounds as though the young man doing your garden is doing a good job. Sorry you didn't win at the games afternoon today, but I'm sure the company was good.

Oma, what are you like losing your glasses like that. Mind you it's something I do all the time - glasses and phone. Such good news about Clare, but I do feel sorry for poor little Finn. It's awful when little ones are poorly. What did the doctor say? I hope you are feeling a bit better today, and have been taking it easy. I love the photo ofo DD's kitten in the washing machine. I bet she thought it was a nice, cosy safe place.

Nanto, Isn't it great when you can look at all the work you've put into the garden and feel pleased with the way it looks. Well done to you and hubby. We're getting there with our garden, mainly because my OH has done all the heavy work and kept going when I've retreated to the nearest comfy chair. I sat by the pond for a while yesterday evening. There wasn't a sound except for the birds on the feeders and it was so peaceful. The thought of your lattice pie always makes my mouth water.

They couldn't get in to see the Dr today but have appointment with him tomorrow.
Shocking when it's a baby they should get in no problem.
Luckily Clare's mother is a air ambulance paramedic so is keeping an eye on him.

Oma, poor Finn. You'd think the surgery would give priority to such a young child in so much distress. It would be all the same if Clare's mum wasn't able to keep an eye on him, but a huge relief that she is, I'm sure. Yes, there is already a fountain and a waterfall in the pond. It sounds very relaxing and I love it. I hope you can sleep ok and feel a bit better tomorrow.

Good morning. I'm up early, I was lying in bed awake, so thought I might as well get up.

Its dry at the moment, but I heard we could have some thunder and lightning today. We shall see.

I'm definitely going to make some sliced potatoes, onions and corned beef in the slow cooker.
