Good morning, I now there are foxes around here, I saw one in the woods years ago whilst out with my dog, we don't see them very often though, in some parts of the Netherlands wolves are a problem.

It is duller here so hopefully cooler with it.

I will try and add photo's of the GD's from yesterday.

It's duller here but so warm,
Isn't it nice to see the foxes,
We maybe see the odd one ,I know they come into the garden occasionally as if we have snow we often have foot prints,
I thought it was the cats at first but then I sent a picture to a friend who knows and said it was a fox print.
Plus Storm goes on a sniffing frenzy when he comes over😁

Did you get to walk Eva or was it too warm still?
DD took Storm out about 9 last night but just a short walk around the block,
They had been out at 5.30 yesterday morning and he slept all day.

I've washed a load of whites, now doing the towels,
It's overcast but stuffy so they should all dry.

I bet the towels are dry Oma. I hung a line of washing out before we went out and of course all totally dry now.

This morning we took a bus into town and met up with our friends C and P. We watched some of the York dragon boat race down the river. All teams rowing for charity and fun to watch. It goes on for most of the day. C had booked lunch for us all at pub for 1, so we enjoyed the shade there for quite a while before catching the bus back.

I bet it was lovely seeing all the boats on the river.

About 3ish i got a notification on my phone,saying the rain in our vicinity would stop soon, but it wasn't raining.
Hubby had gone with his brother,and when he got home he said they were about 6 miles away and it poured down.

Nanto, how lovely to see the fox. I think they're creatures of habit so you may well see him again if you're out having an early cuppa. Rain can be very localised, can't it. We could certainly do with some. It's forecast here for the next 3 days.

Oma, yes I did walk Eva last night - we were out for about an hour on the Forest, and there was a lovely sunset. Tonight it's heavier and warmer, so I've just been round the block with her. It does me good to get out for a walk, and of course, Eva never says "no".

Plant, I'm so sorry to hear you're not feeling very well. Did you enjoy the tennis? OH watched the men's final, and now he's watching the England/Wales football match. I'll be tactful and not ask him the score.

Gem, you've had a busy couple of days, but it all sounds good fun. Were you tired after the carnival yesterday? I hope it raised a lot of money, and your DDs are pleased with how it went. The boat races must be very colourful. Are there a lot of capsizes?

Oma, I bet bot you and B were shocked when the cake ended up making such a mess. Pineapple cake sounds delicious, but B did well to make another straight away. Is there any left today?

I've had another lazy day! I'll be getting used to them. But it's been too hot to do much, so I thought I'd make the most of it and I've been reading nearly all day.

Good morning. We didn't have the rain that was forecast for overnight.

Daisy sounds like you had a lovely walk with Eva last night.

Not sure what I'm doing today, but i will find something i suppose.

Now to make you all envious,I ordered a new frying pan from amazon yesterday.
I don't fry much at all, but i thought i was ready for a new one.
Having it delivered to the local post office, so i got free delivery.

I think dinner will be chips,tomato sausage and onion rings with peas or beans.

He only made a small 2nd pineapple cake so we each had a piece. Then frozen the rest for his mam,
It was very tasty though😁
It was to stuffy to do much wasn't it , sitting reading a good book is better than wearing yourself out.
I'm sure Eva was just as happy with her short walk as a long one.

Yesterday we decided to go into Sunderland to a market that's on every weekend ,
Si King from the hairy bikers has a pie shop there ,it's very popular on match days and Si gets there as often as he can ,
It's in a little sort of courtyard amongst derelict industrial units ,(although they are developing it all ),

We were a bit disappointed at how few stalls , the usual home made pickles , cake stall, scotch eggs , flowers etc .
We had a look around and I bought Storm some sprat treats from the doggy treat stall,
A couple of scotch eggs for lunch and I bought myself a Vegan black forest cheese cake ,
I like Vegan ones they are not heavy or sweat,
I ate it last night and I must say it was worth going just for that it was delicious.

We then went to the farm shop and bought pork chops for tea ,
B did them in the air fryer they were so moist and tasty.

I'm not sure if we are doing anything today, its a bit dull but very warm.

It has been much to hot to do much Daisy, keeping cool and reading was the best option.
Funnily enough, we asked C and P who have watched many dragon races about capsizes, and they had never seen one. Only 3 boats race at a time and are spaced across the river. Winners in the end are on rowing time.

Cooler here this morning which is welcome. Rain is forecast later.
Aqua for me this morning. I am meeting a friend this afternoon for coffee and a catch up, then we are having friends A and G round to eat tonight. They return from a holiday today and we often feed each other on the first night home, if convenient.

Yes lunch was lovely. I had roast lamb which was perfect. It's a real ale pub which C and P are regulars at. Lovely and cool inside and down a side street so not many tourists find it.
I love pineapple upside down cake, not had it for years.

Good morning, I am at work at the moment, doing coffee. I was out early this morning picking blackberries, yes ripe and plentiful. I set my phone alarm for 7am, biked home and got the jam made before coming here.
