Good Friday morning everyone. It's still raining here as well.

Nanto, I find swedes hard to cut, as well as sweet potatoes. It frightens my OH watching me hacking away with a big knife! Enjoy your fish and chips.

Gem, your DD1 must look forward to her monthly get togethers. She must spend a lot of time with only GS for company (I'm not saying that's bad, but it's good to have adult company as well, and I hope they have lots of laughs). We keep saying we should go out more just the two of us for a meal, but there always seems to be something on to stop us!

Usual Friday for us - Sainsburys due any minute, bins to be put out and then we'll see. I definitely need to do some washing and a bit of tidying up. Very exciting!!

      Morning ladies
It's dull and a bit wet but no rain so far,

      Nanto
I remember years ago putting the swede on the back step and hammering the knife through it,
I could never just chop it up ,
Finally B took over I ruined so many knives 😁
I think already diced is the way to go plus if your not bulk cooking it's less waste.

      Gem
Your DD needs to get out and amongst people she can have a good chat too,
She should do it more often and it will encourage GS not to be so dependent on her , although that must be hard just the two of them.

      Daisy
It's the ironing after the washing isn't it ,
      Enjoy your exciting day 😁

GS coming home this morning he's coming straight to us for lunch,
B has blood tests this morning and some people are coming to
dismantle and take away the shed ,
Smaller plastic one will be ordered sometime over the weekend,
We going for plastic so no painting or repairs to do.

I am waiting for my hairdresser to arrive, she has a doctors appointment. I have no plans for the rest of the day so I shall wait until she arrives, hair washed ready for her. No other plans for today.

Oma, Spoiling GS with his favourite food I expect. I don’t spoil my GC (ha ha).

I went to collect some shoes from nearest small town and although it wasn’t a very long walk to shop from car park I was very slow and breathless, must make a doctors appointment. I have a swede in the fridge, I do like swede but find it difficult to deal with.

Daisy, I am sure you will find plenty to do to fill the day.

Gemini, I hope your GS comes to see you, I presume he spends quite a bit of time alone.

Nanto, I can’t see a post from you, I hope all is well.

Plant, Nan2 has posted this morning, don't worry

GS1 is here and will stay all day, coming with me on the school run for his cousin.
The gathering definitely does DD a lot of good so I make it a priority to be here for GS on the morning of the first Friday of the month.
Rain, all gone, beautiful sunshine now Kittens enjoying the garden.

Plant, I hope you can get a doctor's appointment quickly. Have you had a change of hairstyle or just a trim? It always feels better after a cut, doesn't it.

Gem, are GS1 and GS2 pleased to see each other? It must be lovely to have them together. At least you've got sunshine - it's still raining here, and nowhere near as warm as yesterday. Eva says "lucky kittens!"

Oma, I hope B's blood test goes ok. Does he have to wait long for the results? GS will arrive hungry, but I bet he gets even more spoiled than Storm.

Hope you get an appointment, sooner rather than later.

They do grow swedes here, why some come from the UK I have no idea, I have just read that they are very popular at the moment to make healthy "chips" in the air fryer.

Daisy only a few days from the Drs ,
They wanted a full blood count plus pancreas, probably the liver Dr has requested them before he sees him.

GS came had a full English, he was starving apparently 😁
Stayed 4 hours, we wondered if he was going home to see his mam at one point 😄

It rained heavy so the people coming for the shed have put off till Monday.

I must try that. I usually use sweet potatoes or parsnips for air fryer chips.

Oma, I'm sure your GS is starving every time he comes to you, bless him. It's been raining here all day as well. I'm glad B's blood results won't take long. It's always awful waiting for them.

Gem, I hope your day with GS1 then GS2 as well later went well. Time to put your feet up now, I should think.

I've had a thoroughly lazy day apart from cooking dinner!

Daisy, a lazy weekend is even better.

We are going to Wakefield today, so another cooking free day for me.

Oma, we used to call my father in law that as well.

Looks like a nice morning so far.

Time for another coffee me thinks.

Good morning, I have just got my first washing hung out, we had the warmest March 7th, ever, yesterday, 18 degrees and even warmer today, strange weather!

I am busy on the balcony, cleaned a wooden bench yesterday, it really needed it and looks like new!

Good Saturday morning, everyone, including Nanto's two little friends enjoying their picnic in the sun.

Nanto, have a good day out. You'll forget where the kitchen is at this rate. But it's good to have a break from the usual chores when you can.

Lizzie, there were some hot spots here yesterday, although we had rain most of the day. We've got lots of cleaning jobs outside, but so far the weather hasn't been fit. Fingers crossed now for it to get better.

We woke up to sunshine this morning, and it feels pleasantly mild. It hasn't exactly filled me with enthusiasm for getting things done, but I might be tempted to have a potter in the garden later.

I hope everyone is ok and you are all enjoying some sunshine too.

                                Good morning everyone.

Lizzie, it was showing 17 degrees on my car yesterday.

Lazy days are needed for busy people Daisy, a lazy weekend even better

No cook Saturday is a good thing Nan2!

Oma, GS always leave you well fed!

Sunny here again. I am hoping for a lazy weekend too to hopefully knock this virus on the head.
I need to feed GS1's cat and Guinea pig tonight and tomorrow morning, but no other plans so far.

It was nice to have the two boys together yesterday. I think it does GS1 good to be with another child . There are 3 and half years between them which is quite a big gap, with GS1 at 12, but they find ways to connect.
