Hallo everyone,, no Gem, aqua again in September, there is one here in the village, but, very expensive compared to what we are used to. It was a good lesson Daisy, there were 30 of us, usually average 15 to 18 but the word has spread about how good our instructor is!!

I made the jam, may go tomorrow morning, see if the rain comes, if it does I will give it a miss.

A man has just been to see to my garage door, he sprayed it all in, lock etc then gave me the lock spray!

The Carnaval must have been very popular Gem.

Plant, pleased that you are feeling better.

Nanto, you do seem to feed the family!

GD1 called in yesterday whilst I was at the pool, she had phoned but no phone in the pool! She was out walking, as she often is, thought she would call in to see me and get to the toilet, luckily next door has my key so she went there for it, I didn't realised that she had been, my door was double locked but I often do that by mistake, then I saw she had got a drink whilst she was here, then I knew it was her!!! She is coming tomorrow afternoon and will probably eat here.

They had a really good time in France, as DS1 said, "it is only? 4 hours driving and you are in another world!" Maybe that will be be more popular to them than Brighton!!!

DS2 phoned, DD1 of his partner has got her own house, at last, she has lived there with the little girl almost 4 years, plus the dog. It isn't very far from where they live so DIL and her DD are busy cleaning etc.

It is very humid here so we could get the rain.

DIL's mam is ok. Got a bump on her head, but at least she didn't cut it open.

Good morning. Feels quite cool this morning.
        Looking cloudy and dull.

DS2 and DIL calling sometime this morning.
They aren't coming for dinner though.

No other plans for today, we'll take the day as it comes.

Cottage pie and veg for dinner.

Well we have had a lovely morning at the coast,
              It's boiling hot down there.
We had a stroll along the prom and watched the Dolphins playing we then bumped into my two nieces ,
              So nice to see them😁
We all went for lunch at one of the many cafes,
Then they went off to walk along the pier to the light house, B couldn't manage that,
              So we left for home
Just back tired but happy 😁

Hallo everyone, GD1 coming for a meal later on.

You would enjoy the coast Oma. The house would be tidy I expect but need a good clean and decorating in her style.

Our local council tip closes a few years ago, we have to go to Delft now to the one there, not far really but do need a car! A couple of years ago they started with a "mobile tip", it is a trailer with different bins etc where you can take things, there is a rule that they have not to be too large, have to fit in a big shopper, but, a lot goes in there!! They do different villages etc in the area once a month, they were here in the village today, I had a few things to take, put them in a bag, did my shopping etc then returned home, forgetting to take the things so I went after fitness, the men are so helpful, they sorted everything out for me, I saw quite a few air fryers, hoovers etc so they can all be taken. A lady at fitness said she had a few things so she is going next month, it is really handy, I do hope that they get enough people taking their things, otherwise they will say it isn't worth the while!!

Did I mention I got a Samsonite beauty case off our free site the other day? The idea is for GD2, I was telling DS1 and he said it should be just right for her, it is really like new so I do hope that she likes it. I think she will.

We had a lot of rain during the night, so they tell me, it has been dry all day though.

I'm sure she will be thrilled with that Lizzie,
Good idea the mobile tip, we could do with that idea here.

I'm a bit late coming online today, and yesterday evening was a bit chaotic. So a quick catch up from me.

I was due to speak to the doctor about 4.30 yesterday, so I hung around, not wanting to start anything and be interrupted by the phone call. By 6 o'clock I was fed up with waiting and OH was trying to persuade me to ring the hospital. I couldn't see the point of that as I imagined the reason they hadn't phoned was because they were very busy.

All day the wind had been getting worse. I put the bedding out to dry and when I went to get it in the pegs were all over the garden. Anyway we were just talking about getting dinner when the trunk of the plum tree broke off completely. It had been too windy to try to secure it. OH took all the unrip plums off the broken part - 4 kgs of them -while I started getting dinner.

In the middle of that the doctor phoned, very apologetic for being late. Everything was ok with the blood test, and what they expected. I still haven't seen the lab results so couldn't ask any questions, just took his word for it. I asked a few questions about how they expect treatment to progress, and it seems there's no road map yet as the treatment has only been available for such a short time. As DS2 said "so, actually, you're a lab rat".

OH was free this morning, so we've done a load of housework between us. One of his wood turning buddies has just arrived, so I'm leaving them to it.

Daisy Sorry to hear about your plum tree, ours is full of smallish unripe plums. Not much satisfaction for you from the doctors phone call Daisy. A friend has just given me some more gooseberries so I will be top and tailing them later.

Oma, I do envy your trip to the coast, we are about an hour and a half from the nearest. Choosing beds is really a minefield. H was happily playing with her toys, not having seen them for over a week she was having fun.

                        Good evening dear ladies.

                        What a lovely day Oma

Daisy, it is frustrating about the phone appointment. I agree absolutely no point you phoning them though! At least everything was OK and expected for the bloods.

I bet H missed her toys Plant!

I think your GD will love that case Lizzie.

We went with Auntie G for lunch to the farm shop and cafe a few minutes drive from her. We like it there and always have good browse around the farm shop which is a big one. Oma, I bought some toffee apple curd! Different make to the one you had. I will report back when I have tried it.
Auntie is always the same you really wouldn't think she was 96. We had tea and biccies back at hers, and she always comes out to the car park to wave us off.

I had a lovely brie and caramelised onion sandwich which unfortunately seems to have triggered my ibs quite badly I love cheese and can eat it and do in moderation, but I think this was just too much cheese. There was a LOT of brie. I should have realised and left some.

Sun and cloud today, a bit of breeze, no rain.

We had a lovely day.DS2and DIL wanted us to go to the garden centre and have dinner with them.
It was one of their birthday presents for hubby. They are both working tomorrow,so can't make it for his birthday.
We all enjoyed our meal. The rest of the day was spent relaxing.

Well at least your bloods were ok and being a lab rat means your getting the latest in treatment,
Fingers crossed you see good results soon 😁

What a shame about the plum tree, maybe next year you will get a bumper crop on the other branches.

                            Gem

How nice to get taken out for lunch ,a nice surprise 😁

I forgot to say when we were getting back in the car we found a £10 note , I didn't see it B did.
I looked around to see if there was any little ones as I would have gave it to them but there wasn't any ,
I will think of something to do with it .
