Daisy, I decided after my 70th birthday celebrations that I would go back to the last decade. You could do the same!
In my head I will remain 'in my 60's for some time now
I hope you have a lovely evening xxx

      We have reclining chairs ,
Gem is right it's comfort not old age😁

      Daisy
Have a lovely dinner, I'm sure they will understand that you can only eat so much,
Good that you don't have to go far.

We are back from the birthday party,
      Finn had a lovely day,
We picked storm up on the way back then went for fish & chips.

Gem, I remember when I turned 60 I decided the phrase "an old lady in her 70s" would never pass my lips again!

Oma, what an amazing birthday cake Fin had. He's growing up so fast, and he's got a cheeky (but sweet) smile. We just went round to our friends for drinks and nibbles. I really didn't want A to go to all the trouble of cooking a delicious meal for me when I haven't got much appetite. We really enjoyed sitting in their conservatory enjoying a drink (water for me!) and tiny smoked salmon sandwiches, cheesey nibbles and other goodies. It was more than enough and I didn't feel guilty that A had had to spend ages in the kitchen cooking a big meal. Have you got Storm overnight?

Nanto, did the sun shine for you in Wakefield? I hope you had a lovely day.

Good morning. Wall to wall sunshine this morning.

Daisy, the sun did shine for us yesterday in Wakefield.

Hubby has just gone to pick up his brother, they are going to a car boot sale.

Later this morning Hubby is going to trim the hedge and one or two other jobs.
I'm going to cut the grass.

Dinner is pork steak, roast potatoes and veg.

            Morning Nanto, ladie.
            Lovely morning.

            Daisy
I'm pleased you just had nibbles and enjoyed yourself ,
No DD picked storm up at 11.30
He seems a bit stiff on his legs and had a bit of a limp,
DD said he knows she's been paid and wants to share her money with the vet 😁
He does have supplements he takes every morning for his joints and she mixes turmeric and coconut oil in with his food on the vets advice .

            Nanto
Hedge trimming is a job my brother in law hates and they have huge hedges around the garden,
He's talking about getting someone in to do them now he's getting on in years.
Love the panda cutting a very beautiful lawn 😁

Need to pop to M & S this morning then visit MIL after lunch well about 3 o'clock.

Good morning, Daisy, I am pleased you managed to enjoy the nibbles!

Oma, that is a huge cake!

I had an awful attack of cystitis yesterday, the first time after the operation I had 3 years ago, it really hit me!! I am drinking in the hope I can rinse it clean, so they tell me! If it hasn't cleared in the morning I will take a sample to the doctor, but, I doubt if I will get antibiotics, they like it to clear itself up now.

I was in bed early, I heard the helicopter. Goes over here a few times a day, this one landed in the park, it seems to be the only place they can land now in this area. The noise it makes!!!

Good Sunday morning ladies ! The sun was shining but it’s hiding behind a cloud now. DD has suggested a walk from her’s through the woods to a pub for something to eat. Should be nice temperature for a walk.
OH had a coffin made of Somerset willow, he was from there, so it seemed right.
I think I’m the only person who doesn’t like recliner chairs! I inherited MiL’s almost new one, she never actually used it, but could never get comfortable! After the hip on I was encouraged to use my muscles to get me standing.
I hope you’ve managed to find a suitable one Plant.
That’s a big birthday cake Oma! Happy birthday to a happy little boy!
Glad you enjoyed your evening out Daisy. I bet it felt good to get back to some sort of normality. Have an easy day today.
Must go and post my first sale on Vinted now!
Enjoy the rest of the day ladies x

                  Good morning everyone.

Nan2, you should get that panda to cut the lawn and put your feet up

Oma, little Fin looks very happy with his giant cake Any sign of MIL going home?

Lizzie, I sympathise! Keep drinking the water and take care. Some people say cranberry juice helps but I think it's unproved.

Daisy, I'm glad you enjoyed your birthday.

Congratulations of your Vinted sale WG! I must say I love our recliner sofa and it was a godsend after my knee surgery when to sit with your knee bent is agony for some weeks.

Well it was a lovely sunny morning here but now has really clouded over. We may go out but we shall see.
We has a lovely meal and nice evening. It was the first time for us all since that incident with our friend who drank too much and caused all sorts of problems. She was drinking no alcohol beer and on good behaviour last night!

We started off quite sunny, clouded over now. Going to a BBQ, might have to put something warmer on.

WG. Enjoy your walk and a pub lunch. I don’t have to use my new chair always as a recliner, it is a normal chair if you like it that way. It will be an improvement on my present chair. I have to wait until August.

Gemini, pleased to hear your friend did not over indulge this time.

Oma, I wonder how much longer Mil will be in hospital. What an enormous birthday cake, almost as bit as little Finn.

Nanto, Gardening day for you and OH. A bit of an unsettled week ahead so bet time to cut the grass etc.

Daisy, very pleased you enjoyed some time out in company.

Lizzie, how unpleasant for you to get a urine infection. Try and knock it on the head with lots of water. I can’t have Cranberry Juice because of tablets I am on so check it is okay for you.

                      Good Sunday afternoon, everyone.

It's a slow, late start for me today, but I have put some washing on and there's a good breeze and patchy sun, so should dry ok. I'll try and catch up with all your news later, but I said I'd make us a sandwich for lunch while OH is hoovering - the whole house will disappear in dog hair if we don't do it soon!

MIL is fit and well enough to leave hospital but can't till the social worker has been and arranged a care package,
Seems a silly thing as she has all the equipment in place at home and to us it seems bed blocking .
Lord knows when they will come out.

SIl keeps asking when she goes in as she has health and welfare power of attorney for MIL, but she's coming up to brick walls as no one has any idea.
She sat 3 hours on Friday waiting to speak to a Dr ,
                        None turned up .
No use us asking today being Sunday there will be none to speak to again.

It was lovely and sunny here this morning, but it clouded over now a nd a cool wind blowing.
Anyway, we got all the gardening done.
After gardening, i came straight in for a shower.
Made the dinner, also made extra roast potatoes for the freezer.

Oma, waiting for 3 hours to speak to a doctor, only for none turn up was not much fun for your SIL.

                          Updated in YEO about nephew.

Daisy, unfortunately pets mean more hoovering!

Oma, they will probably suddenly say she can come home. As you say it's bed blocking .

We had a lovely afternoon. We went with our friends G and A to a nature reserve just a mile or so down the road. You have to have a key to enter it and G has one. They have mentioned us going with them before and today it happened. It was much bigger than we imagined with a very large lake. It was sunny interspersed with brief rain showers.

                              Good morning.

Plant, hope you enjoyed the BBQ.

Gem, the visit to the nature reserve sounds interesting.

Oma, i forgot to say, loved Finns birthday cake.

Not a lot for me to do today.
Going to sort some washing out, I might have enough to make it worthwhile putting the washer on.

Dinner is hubby's weekly treat of chips, beans and egg.

                                Good morning everyone.

Nan2, has your hubby fully recovered from his op now? He certainly seems to have done remarkably well.

Aqua this morning. DD3 is taking little E swimming and has asked me to join them in the other pool afterwards. I may miss out on coffee with my friends. I can wave to them though as the cafe overlooks the toddler pool

Reflexology this afternoon. I realised a couple of days ago that I was double booked for Friday morning Reflexology and committee meeting at the same time! Fortunately she could fit me in later this afternoon.
A friend is calling in to print something this afternoon. The file she emailed to me wouldn't open so she will bring her own laptop round. We could go into business renting it out, hardly any of our friends have printers!
