Gem, hope you got all the planting done.
Vanilla slices at the farm shop we go to are massive. We share one.

Oma, that was a bit of luck, being at the neihbours.

Plant, good luck with the rollator tomorrow.

Went to see MIL tonight she's doing well I think maybe out next week.
While we were there they came with her tea.
She had asked for jacket potato.
They asked if she wanted a spoon full of coleslaw or a spoon of grated cheese,
She asked for both , they said sorry your only allowed one or the other.

I said you must be joking she can't have a small spoon full of cheese,
      She said that's the rules.
I wasn't having that , it was a tiny potato to start with , she got her cheese after I argued with the server .
How ridiculous, how do people get better if they ration the food?

SIl is taking a tub of grated cheese in tomorrow to put in the fridge as we may not be there the next time .
Just as well we took two apple turnovers in at least she's getting something else tonight.
She did say lunch was lovely , a bigger bowl of soup with a crusty roll then sponge pudding and custard for afters ,

I can't believe they quibbled over a little bit of cheese 😱
Im not fat just 6ft too small

Oma, your poor neighbour, she must have felt shocked by her fall. thank goodness she was ok. It sounds as though she should use a stick or something to steady her round the house. Oma, making a patient choose between a good quality protein and a vegetable-based food sounds absolutely ludicrous! I know budgeting for hospital meals is very tight, but that really is out of order.

Plant, I had to shorten a couple of t-shirts I bought a few weeks ago - they were just an inch or two too long, but I wasn't happy with them at that length. How did your walk to the end of the road go? My GS2 is 20.

The new shower has been fitted. The controls are different from the old one, and to my mind less clear, but I'm sure we'll get used to it. The old controller had batteries we had to change occasionally, but this one has to be recharged occasionally.

Thank goodness you were there for your neighbour Oma. I hope you didn't hurt your back helping her up.
You are right, they are supposed to be encouraging people to eat and recover, not rationing the food like that.

I bet you will soon get used to the new shower controls Daisy.

I did my morning aqua class, had coffee with the friend who was there, went shopping to Sainsbury's then came home for a shower and lunch.
After a rest I went into the garden. I got all the tubs planted out. OH did the hanging basket, cut and edged the lawn, and put canes in the bean plants. We were both happily busy , and had a cuppa in the sun as well.

My GD did her first GCSE exam today and it seems to have gone well.
