Oma, as requested here is a photo of little E in his glasses on . Quite hard to get a 2 year old to sit still and look at you!

He was very good after his nap and got his glasses from the case. I had forgotten

Plant good idea to get it checked if the breathlessness continues.

Poor OH Daisy these things linger on.
I'm glad it rained this afternoon as my OH was considering going to play golf if not. She's definitely not that well and has dozed on and off this afternoon.

I hope your sister is OK Oma.

he looks adorable , so sweet and what a good boy getting them after his nap😁
Just as well it was raining , it made S stay in , hopefully she will realise she isn't up to golf just yet xx

        Daisy
Poor J , it's not easy when you like to be up and about .
We have never managed to get Storm to put his toys away , same as closing the doors,
he can open the back door no bother but can't get the hang of closing it😁

You really must see the Dr , do you have inhalers? If not you may need one , but always best to get checked.
I think if it's going to take a long time for H to see a speech therapist it may be worth getting that initial consultation privately.

Dr gave my sister a good examination,
Said he didn't think anything was broken but she has been lucky it didn't split open.
There is a lot of blood under the skin,
        Checked her eyes etc .
If she starts to vomit or becomes confused he said to ring 999 but apart from that it's a case of rest and pain killers,
I have just rang her ,she feels rotten has a bad headache but has managed to eat and keep it down so fingers crossed she's ok
My niece sent another photo , now the bruising has come out it looks even bigger , so swollen.

Gem, glasses suit little E. He looks a cutie.
Hope OH feels better to tomorrow.
          Same goes for Daisy's OH.
Oma, hope you sister makes a speedy recovery.
Plant, wise to checked out with the doctor.

Plant, did you get the rain? My DIL1 (in Berkshire) said it was raining there. Yes, I'd definitely get the breathlessness checked just to be on the safe side. You could be waiting a long time for H's speech to be assessed, so if it's possible to go privately it might be best.

Gem, GS3 looks so cute, and I bet he's very proud of his glasses - what a good boy remembering to put them on after his nap. Will he have to have a patch over the good eye to help the other one straighten up? This worked well for my GD2. I see his hair's growing nicely again. S needed the rest more than a round of golf, so it was good it was too wet to play. I hope she feels better tomorrow.

Oma, you poor sister, but thank goodness it wasn't worse. Bathrooms are hard and unforgiving surfaces to fall onto, but it's good she's eating and the doctor found no worrying damage.

We had a lazy afternoon, mostly watching tv - rare for me! It was quite sunny when I took Eva out about 4 pm, but was very wet underfoot and went colder as well. OH is still feeling under the weather, but he hasn't slept so much today.

              Blowing a gale and raining.

              No plans for us today.

Hope those feeling under the weather feel better soon, including Oma's sister.

Probably be just a day of pottering, not many jobs to do.

We had visitors yesterday afternoon, but not expecting any today.

Chicken and bacon lattice, some form of mash and veg for dinner.

Good morning Nan2 and everyone else.

I hope we all escape the storm today. It sounds a bad forecast for Scotland and Northern Ireland.

Daisy I'm not sure if there are plans to cover one of GS3's eyes. I know they said an operation is very likely to be needed. His hair has grown well, yes he had a haircut (at the hairdresser!) a while back)

Committee meeting for me this morning. Before that I need to follow OH to the garage for her car's MOT, then drive her home.
She was booked to play golf today, but there are high winds forecast plus she is not well enough, so I hope and presume that's off.

                  Morning ladies
Not as bad as we thought it might be, a bit wet and windy but so far that's it.

                  Gem
Hopefully golf is cancelled and S has another days rest.

                  Nanto
You know it won't be a quiet day , you will find something to occupy yourself with 😄

                  Daisy
                  How is J feeling today?
Did Eva get dirty again on her walk , they seem to know the wettest dirtiest patches don't they.

Spoke to my sister this morning, she had a bit of a restless night as expected and a pounding headache but she's ok ,
The bruising is worse this morning again to be expected,

Waiting for the dog to arrive so I have stripped the bed and that's in the wash.

GS is away to Centre parks in Penrith with Lucie's family for the weekend as they are both back to Uni on Tuesday.
The A66 is closed so they will have to go another way putting 30 minutes on the journey,
Not the best day to be driving but they going in a convoy with Lucie's brother and girlfriend so there's plenty watch out for each other.

We gave him some extra spending money yesterday but I had to almost wrestle him to the ground to take it ,
I don't know why he tries I always win 😂

Oma I'm not sure if golf was cancelled but OH has sensibly decided to pull out, although she is a bit better this morning.
OH's car is at the garage, I'm off to my meeting soon.
I hope your poor sister feels better soon.

                      Good Friday morning, everyone.

Nanto, your quiet days don't often stay that way. I hope you're not getting the full force of the storm. The cockerel on the weather vane needs to find a safe place to roost if the storm is as bad as predicted!

Oma, you must be very relieved to hear your sister is feeling a bit better, although I'm sure it will take her a few days to get over it. I hope your GS1 & Co have a safe journey to Penrith and all the Centre Parc's facilities are open. I'm sure they will all have a great time. It feels as though University holidays are getting longer. I thought they would have been back at least a week ago.

Gem, it's sensible of S to pull out of golf today. She's obviously not well enough, and I don't suppose she'd be playing her best game which would be frustrating.

My OH is feeling poorly and fed up this morning. He's stayed in bed for a while - I don't think he slept very well last night. We meant to do the bins last night but forgot, so I had to rush round and put them out this morning. It looks as though it rained quite hard in the night, but it's dry now and not even very windy at the moment.

I hope everyone else is ok, whatever the weather is doing.

Good morning, Gem, what a lovely photo of your GS!

I forgot to finish this! It is very wet and windy here.

I have a rash on my face, painful, I have had to send a photo to the surgery but haven't heard anything yet, it is part of the allergy but I have never had this before.

I was phoned this morning by the medical pedicurist! So difficult to get one at the moment, this is the daughter of the previous owner of the gym, she told me the other day that her daughter would be phoning me and she has!

Oma, I hope all goes well for the car drivers on their way to Penrith. DS1 will be on his way back to the tunnel now, the wind doesn't seem to be too bad down in Kent, I don't know what it will be like when they arrive in Calais though. They phoned last night and have had a good few days in London, they visited the British Museum yesterday and went to see a show at the Apollo one evening. The girls are coping really well, I thought they would though.

That would be a nasty bang for your sister Oma.

So sorry for those of you suffering high winds. At the moment here we have sunshine and it is very still, no wind. I am planning to attend a talk at my National Trust Group meeting unless the wind gets up. Sil ‘s birthday tomorrow, all the nearest and dearest are here on Sunday for lunch. I am going to try to get some pics taken, not often they are all together.

Gemini, good idea for S to decide to not play golf if she isn’t 100%. Loved the pic of your GS with his glasses on, he is being very good making sure he wears puts them on. I hope it can be corrected without an op.

Oma, Will the Centre Park be open if they have strong winds there? I hope your sister will better soon after her bad fall.

Daisy, sorry to hear your OH is still feeling poorly. Lots of flu type virus around, in spite of the jab.

Nanto, enjoy your sort of pottering day. Batten down the hatches if you are hit with the storm.

Oma, I saw on FB one of my friends had to cancel their trip to The Lake District today, to visit family. The A66 is closed both ways and power lines down in Eden Valley. I hope your GS is safely there now.
DD, SIL and GS3 are going to Nottingham this weekend to visit SIL's family. I am hoping they are travelling tomorrow.

Poor OH Daisy, I hope he's better soon and you stay well.

I hope you get some help for that rash Lizzie, especially as it's painful.

OH's car passed the MOT and had its service so we will collect it after lunch, then batten down the hatches and stay in!

I got the phone call from the doctor, most probably shingles! I should have realised that myself, as soon as she said it I realised that was what it is. I have some cream, if it isn't any better by Monday I will get an appointment.
