I was sure I had posted first thing ,
But between the dog coming , my niece texting to tell us about how Myles is doing , Clare texting and sending photos of poor Finley,
Then we packed the car for B to take to the tip and cooking veg for storm
I just totally forgot😁

I feel so much better today,
Cough still a problem and I had a vertigo attack when I blew my nose this morning , but apart from that I'm doing ok, a day or so and hopefully it's gone,

A busy day but once you get to the hotel you can relax , it's the start of your holiday then 😁

I hope your not pushing yourself too much ,but I know what you mean a clean kitchen makes you feel better.

The Smeg stuff will sell no bother , I'm sure any photos you take will show it's hardly been used ,
Better a few pounds in your pocket than them gathering dust in a cupboard.

B just pressure hosing the paths each side of the drive ,
I would like to renew the flag stones , but I think maybe next year now ,
There are two broken ones where B drove the car on them at some point ,
I could just replace them but I will think about it,
No point if I do decide to renew them all.
It was the last job my brother did for me before he died.

We have , well B has, defrosted the small freezer under the stairs,
We will keep it turned off till we need it in the winter ,
No use keeping it on as it was empty

I have had vertigo for years , when I feel it coming on I lay myself on the floor till it passes,
I once spent almost a week in bed unable to move with it ,

It's very hot here , poor Storm doesn't know where to go ,
At the moment he's behind my sofa , it seems to be cooler there for him.

We haven't decided what to do with the Smed stuff yet. Personelly, i prefer something that looks more modern.

Oma, glad you are feeling a bit better.

Been a bit of a productive day, i have shortened two skirts.
You probably don't remember,but about 18 months ago,i had a dress shortened.
It cost £13, it was lined,so it was like doing 2 hems.
The skirts i'm picking up next week are costing £17 each and neither of them are lined.
I don't really mind the price,because i call them going out skirts.
The skirts i've done this morning are only what i call everday skirts.
I haven'n sewn them, i've used wonder web. So much quicker and easier.

Our cat-sitter was here before 2 and we were all ready so we have been sitting in the garden with chatting

DD1 is coming for us at 4 then we will cram our big suitcase in her small car!

Oma, what a busy morning for you. I'm glad you're feeling a bit better - hopefully tomorrow you'll feel like a new woman. How is Finn today? Is Myles settling down ok and feeding well? I bet his mummy and daddy still can't stop gazing at him.

Nanto, wonderweb sounds great. I suppose people doing alterations have had to put their prices up just like everybody else.

Gem, how lovely to be able to sit in the garden and relax before starting your journey. I hope you're now relaxing in your hotel and really feel your holiday has begun.

Plant, I'm sure H was a delight and very good while you were looking after her. Did you play games together?

OH has spent a lot of time today rearranging and cementing in rocks round the pond. It's turned into a bigger job than we first thought, but although he says otherwise, I think he is quite enjoying himself. I cooked at lunch time, and as it was very hot today I persuaded OH not to go back outside until it had cooled down a bit. I finally got round to trimming the edges of the lawn, but with the warmth and the rain the grass really needs cutting already. I didn't overdo it though, just took my time.

Now we know we were right to say, after we booked this holiday that we won't do any more which fly from Heathrow. We left home at 4 and have just checked in here and showered to cool down. A tedious lot of travelling to not go very far !

Never mind we are here now. Hot and tired.

We aren't going out today.
Hubby is planning on doing the shed today, if the weather plays ball.
He likes to paint it every year.
Won't take too long with the sprayer.

Dinner will be ready meals today. Chicken tikka with rice for hubby, bacon and liver with mash for me.

Little jobs always turn out bigger than you think, but it will be lovely and worth the effort when it's finished😁
Finn still not well but he had a few nibbles of food yesterday, first he's had in a week.

Myles is lovely , my great niece sent me photos yesterday a few from hundreds she has taken she said😁

GS coming for a late breakfast at 10 he's requested a full English, he's like me he only eats the yellow of an egg so grandad separate them so only the yolk gets cooked 😁

I didn't have a great night this cough lingers and as soon as you fall asleep it blooming starts.
About 3 B said shall I make you a hot drink , I said no I didn't want him getting up just for that, although I really could have done with one.
Anyway we were both up at 5 ,

Nothing else planned today , I've done housework there is no washing till tomorrow, not enough in the basket to put a full load on , so a lazy day for me 😁

Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Nanto, you're cheeky chappie with the paintbrush would make a lovely job of doing your shed - save hubby the trouble.

Oma, I hope you do take it easy today. See off the last of that cough so it doesn't keep you awake. How is GS getting on with his holiday job? It sounds as though he's still got a good appetite! Myles is such a gorgeous baby. He looks as though he's gained weight quite quickly.

It's a lovely day here (sorry for those looking out on gloomy skies) but it's quite windy as well. We're still ploughing on with gardening jobs, although OH has just gone down to the village - he broke a trowel yesterday so needs to replace it, plus pick up a prescription. The village is still in chaos with road works which don't seem to be making much progress.

Gem, I'm sorry you had such a horrible journey down to Heathrow. But hopefully check-in is going smoothly and you can both relax and get into holiday mood. xxx

GS's job is working great for him,
He has just left he's taking his Mam to the metro centre ,
They were supposed to go last weekend for her birthday present but they were all under the weather.
So it's a belated birthday treat.

Myles put on 4 oz in a week G niece said he's greedy for his bottles 😁

These roadworks everywhere are beyond a joke aren't they ,
They are causing mayhem everywhere you go.

Clare text to say Finley is playing with his toys and has a smile on his face again.
He asked for shreddies and a yoghurt this morning.
Didn't eat them all but it's a start.

I'm going to have a nap soon, try make up for the lack of sleep, that's if the cough will let me
