    Morning ladies

    Gem
We have always had a printer for as long as I can remember and I still have no idea how to use it 😁
Never felt the need while I have B and DD at hand ,
I bet little E will be excited grandma seeing him in the pool.

    Nanto
I looked at my washing basket this morning but not enough to put a wash on .

    Plant
    How was the BBQ?

    Lizzie
    How are you today ?

    Daisy
Did J get the hoovering done, How are you today?

We off to look at new TVs in Currys this morning,
B fancies a new one. Nothing wrong with this one so GS is having it ,
He said grandad I will buy it off you, like we would charge him 😁

I had a bad night, I was very tired all day so hoped I would get a good sleep but no up and down all night,
Came downstairs tried the sofa , then the spare bed and back to ours πŸ˜€, nothing till about 5 and I finally dozed till 6.30
I think I was over tired and my mind went into overdrive.

    Breakfast this morning was different,
B used the last of the milk last night on Yorkshire puddings, so couldn't have cereal and then realised no bread for toast, so I had a toasted teacakes instead 😳
Will have to go get stuff while we're are out.

      Good Monday morning, everyone.

Nanto, the teddies are very cute. Your hubby loves his egg, chips and beans, doesn't he. I do as well - I'd come and share with him any day! It sounds as though you could have a relaxing day. If so, enjoy it. x

Gem, I'm glad you were able to sort the clashing dates out. When I was teaching IT printers were the bane of my life - they were always getting jammed, breaking down or losing their print queue. OH doesn't trust computers so he prints most things out. I only print things if he wants them, but it's easy wireless printing. Any problems with the printer and I've no idea! It must be a bit frustrating though, if you need something printed and don't have a printer. I'm sure your friends will be very grateful. The nature reserve sounds beautiful, and I bet it was quite peaceful if entry is restricted.

Lizzie, I hope you're over the worst now, and feeling better.

Oma, how exciting, a new TV. I hope you find one B really likes. (They all look the same to me!). Poor you, another bad night. You must be feeling shattered. There are worse breakfasts than toasted teacakes. At least they make a change. I do hope Social Services can get your MIL's care plan sorted out quickly. Sadly, I think you have to keep pestering and put the pressure on a bit. Once when DS1 was hospitalised it took days to get all those checks done (everything was in place!), meanwhile he wasn't getting the type of care he needed in a general hospital, and nothing happens over a week-end. If the various agencies could co-ordinate I'm sure it would ease the bed-blocking problems. I know all the services are understaffed, and probably under-funded, but it doesn't help the individual who is well enough to be in their own home.

Good morning, I am feeling a little better, took my water to the doctor for testing, they have just phoned, I had to take my temperature, higher than I expected so I am not as good as I thought I was!

Plant, I have had cranberry plus every other medicine etc, it is chronic with me, that is why I was so pleased with not getting it for the last 3 years.

I was going to the pool but decided with the doctor that I can better give it a miss

Oma, l hope that you get the TV sorted out, as a am not a TV fan they are all the same to me. Apple etc is another matter. I did have problems with my soundbar after our power cut, after a few weeks I did manage to get it sorted, all by myself!! Had a look on a forum at how others managed to do it!

I do have a printer, I don't use it often, we do have a shop just up the road and he will print anything out, he is very cheap as well.

Lizzie, I hope your temperature wasn't raised too much. I'm trying to remember, is temperature naturally a bit higher first thing in the morning? If so perhaps it would be lower later today. I'm glad you're feeling a bit better though. Are you getting plenty of rest to give y our body chance to fight the infection? Take care. xxx

Daisy , mine is usually higher in the evening. I am getting the rest, plus the water! In fact I was in bed a long while, but, slept less as I had so many walks to the toilet!

The doctor has just phoned, again, they have sent the sample to the hospital for an urine culture, I have to phone on Wednesday for the results.

Well TV chosen , all looks the same to me .
I got all the jargon that I didn't understand so just looked at him vaguely,
He sighed and just said we will get that one 😁

SIL is picking it up Wednesday as his shop is just over the road and he can get it in the van easier than our car.

              It's not a bad afternoon,
I have done the ironing and B put the new clasp thingys up behind the shed to hold the sweeping brush and snow shovel,
I fell asleep for 40 minutes and felt better for it .

              Lizzie
At least the culture will give a accurate reading of what you have,
Not all antibiotics work with some things , MIL had to have a different one for hers.

Gem, yes thanks, he's fully recovered now. Within a week of his op, you wouid'nt have known he's anything done.

Oma, i did'nt have much in the wash basket so no clothes have been washed.
I changed the bedding so that has been washed. Dried out on the line in no time.
Televisions all look very similar, but functions can vary.

We have always had a printer, and we use it quite a bit.

Lizzie, glad you are feeling a bit better.

Lizzie, it's good that the doctor is being so proactive. I hope it helps to speed your recovery. Do you manage to get back to sleep ok when you've had a toilet trip?

Oma, I'm glad B found the TV he wanted. How lucky that SIL's shop is so near. Thank goodness you managed a bit of a nap and feel better for it. Let's hope tonight is better. xx

I seem to have wasted today. OH has been sorting out some black spots on the patio - to be honest, I wouldn't have bothered and they're sure to come back, but he got a bee in his bonnet about them. He went to the aquatic centre and got something to neutralise the chlorine in tap water so we can fill the pond up after losing so much to evaporation. I asked him to pop into one of the seaside shops that sell beach stuff for a little net to fish leaves out, and the shop said they don't stock them any more, because a customer threatened to sue them for selling one to them, and their little girl fell in the water using it! You couldn't make it up, could you!

                    How silly,
god knows what this generation would do if they had seen how we went into ponds with a fishing net ,
No health and safety and if you fell in you got out and slopped off home to get changed to go back again.

Well I have made it on here at last. Sil has been trying to connect my new personal alarm box. they just send a new one and expect all elderly people have someone to fix it. It should need just plugging in but mine is somehow connected to the telephone land line and we can’t get it connected in that way so I don’t have a land line atm. Had a lovely afternoon at GD2’s yesterday. GD looking very well and showing pregnant now. Names for the new babe being banded about.

Nanto, I hope your nephew will be able to come home soon.

Lizzie I hope you will be free of that infection soon.

Oma, new television, how exciting. How nice that your GS can inherit yours.

Gemini, Love to watch the little ones getting confident in the water. H is a real water baby. I think I could do with some reflexology, I am so stiff.

That sounds a bit complicated Plant.
How lovely to have the new baby to look forward to

Lizzie I hope you are soon feeling better.

Daisy my OH worries about those black spots on the patio and borrows our neighbour's power washer from time to time. I can't see the point really!
How ridiculous not selling little fishing nets.

Even that little sleep will have done you good Oma.

DD3 and I have noticed that Little E is getting more confident in the water each time we take him to the pool. After our holiday I hope OH and I will take him one Thursday.

Good morning. Raining and windy this morning.

Plant, hope you get your alarm box sorted.

Gem,good to hear E is getting more confident in the water.

I'm going into town with hubby this morning.
                            I need a few bits.
Also need some pizzas from Iceland.
We'll meet up for coffee before coming home.

Dinner will probably be one of the pizzas.

                              Morning everyone

                              Nanto

Most just plug in but some are so complicated aren't they.
How nice to spend time with GD is she feeling ok?

                              Gem
E will get very excited going swimming with you both , he's going to be so confident in water isn't he, a right little water baby 😁

I'm off to have my hair coloured and cut at 9.30 not a lot planned after that just seen how the day goes,

Talking to my great niece last night . She's a week overdue and fed up waiting now.
If no movement by next tuesday she's booked in for an induction.

                                Good morning all.

                                Nan2 same weather here, horrible!

I bet your great niece is fed up Oma. DD3 was 2 weeks late and every day seemed an eternity! I was induced in the end.

Library morning for me, golf for OH. She has just set off. She moved her slot to an earlier one to fit in this afternoon's scan appointment. She doesn't like playing this early, or in the rain!
Her appointment is at 4.15. She is supposed to wait an hour afterwards before driving so I will go with her, wait in the car and drive her home. It's a mobile unit so no waiting area.
