    Afternoon ladies
    We are back home,

Came home to a drama ,
Just pulling into our street and there is our elderly neighbour lying on the ground with very kind people attending to him.
Managed to get him in the car to drive the short distance up the street,
We got him in the house and thanked the people who helped as everyone came with us 😁
He looked dreadfully pale and was sweating,
He a frail old man so this shook him especially as he had a bad fall 4 weeks ago,

He doesn't recall how he fell .

B rang 111 they asked lots of questions then said someone would ring back within 2 hours .
In the meantime we got him settled on the sofa and his feet up ,
I rang his daughter in law and she arrived before we left him , she is a carer for the elderly.
It sounds like the new medication he got from the Drs yesterday may be a factor but until he talks to a Dr they won't know,
They did advise him not to take anymore till he's been assessed again.

Such a shock to see him lying there,
When he fell a little boy had ran to get his mother to help.

I'm having a cup of tea before I start unpacking ,
We have had a lovely break .

Gosh Oma, what a drama to come back to.

Hallo everyone, Oma, the poor man, I hope he is recovered from his fall.

I have been to my friends "send off"! We were asked to take one flower, there must have been 100+ there, all the flowers were placed in vases round the coffin, it looked like a flower shop. We were there almost 3 hours, before leaving the close family left with the coffin to go to the crematorium. It was a wicker coffin, now I have another decision to make!!

It has been a lovely warm day, luckily the wind has dropped.

Daisy, I went on the bike to the reception and passed a lot of water, heard a lot of frogs!!!

Welcome back Oma, I'm so glad you had a lovely time. Book another soon is my advice
That poor man, thank goodness you and others were there for him. It could well be the medication. My dad was quite poorly once when the pharmacist issued the wrong dose of his Parkinson's meds.

I'm glad you are well taken care of in your village Plant. It sounds a lovely place to live.

Lizzie, the flowers sound so lovely. I would like a wicker coffin with flowers woven into it.

Did you get into the garden Daisy?

I had a nice chat and lunch with my friend. This afternoon OH and I went to Argos to pick up the new microwave.
The sun came out mid afternoon I have got a line of washing fully dried.
I listed two tops I never wear on Vinted before we went out.

It sounds a very caring lovely village,
I hope you had a lovely time 😁

            Lizzie
My SILs cousin had a wicker coffin a few years ago , apparently it was ( for a Coffin) really nice.

Did you miss not having your microwave?
We only use ours to heat up and defrost but when ours broke we really missed it.

I have just been down to see our neighbour , he's looking and feeling so much better.
The Dr agreed it most likely was the medication change ,
He advised he doesn't go out for a couple of days till he's used to them.
He has had something to eat and said he felt stronger.
At least he had some colour back in his face.
He gave us all a fright though.

Oma we didn't miss it because we were still using the old one !
I noticed paint blistering on the inside roof of the microwave. That can't be good and we wanted to replace it before there was any exposed metal. The new one has a ceramic lining.
              Good news about your neighbour.

                Oma, welcome home.
Good to hear your neighbour is feeling better.

Plant, nice to hear your village takes care of you.

Daisy, hope you managed to have a bit of time in the garden.

Oma, welcome home. I hope you both feel rested and better for your few days away. You certainly lived in luxury, especially with that lovely bath. Thank goodness you neighbour is getting better. It must have been a shock to see him lying on the ground like that.

Plant, what a lovely caring village. I hope you enjoyed the tea party. We don't expect to see frogs just yet, and of course, it's too late for frogspawn. But I'll be happy just to attract invertebrates etc this summer, and get some aquatic plants established.

Gem, what a good job you noticed the damage to the microwave before anything bad happened. A ceramic lining sounds much safer. It's always good when the weather co-operates with getting the washing dried. Do you see your lunch-time friend regularly?

Lizzie, what a lovely send off for your friend. Those flowers must have been quite eye-catching. It's a lovely idea.

Our plans got changed today, and I didn't get out into the garden until this evening - just for a bit of weeding and dead heading. The gardener who had built the pond had his next job postponed so he was unexpectedly free. So we asked him if he'd regrout the rest of our patio, to save OH and our neighbour doing it. He's done a really good job and is even coming back tomorrow to finish off the sweeping up etc. He's a lovely chap, and Eva has spent a happy day out in the garden with his Labrador who looks so much like Eva that we've all confused them at times.

                    Good morning.

Daisy, a couple of frogs for your pond.
It was handy the gardener having a job postponed. Good of him to come back today .

We are going to Wakefield today.

I think its a good weather forecast, might even be able to eat alfresco.

                      Good morning ladies.

Those frogs look happy heading over to Daisy's Nan2

Daisy, that sounds a productive afternoon, and fun for Eva!

No plans today. We are eating out with friends this evening. A group of ten of us to celebrate two May birthdays. Our friend G will drive the four of us so no driving. It's a very nice village pub with good food. I am looking forward to it.

No driving is a bonus , is it far from you the pub?

                        Daisy
Eva is such a sociable dog isn't she,
It's nice when there is a cancellation and you can benefit from it , plus it saves J getting down on his knees.
                        Enjoy your birthday.xx

We have been to Aldi and I have done two loads of washing ,
It's Finley's birthday party today , his birthday isn't till the 5th but today is more convenient for his party.

From there we will pick Storm up as DD &SIL are out to see a show and don't know what time they will get back.
We will also pick fish & chips up on the way .

Just been to see my neighbour, he's much better today, his son is picking them up to take them for coffee at Costas just to get them out and see how neighbour feels out and about,

Oma, the village is about 5 miles away, about the same distance as town but in the other direction!
                          Enjoy Finley's party

I am shortly going to a furniture shop with my DD to look and poss. Buy a recliner chair. I am gradually acquiring all the equipment for an old lady. It is a lovely sunny morning, forecast good.

Oma, Your holiday sounded like a nice rest for you both, you need to extend it next time. Sorry to hear about your neighbour, I hope he recovers okay.

Daisy, Good idea to get someone to finish regrouting your patio.

Nanto, I remember going to a funeral where the deceased had a wicker coffin.

Gemini, have a nice meal out with your friends, no driving is certainly a bonus.

                                Good Saturday morning, everyone.

Nanto, I'd love to give those frogs a home. I hope the weather stays good so you can eat outside.

Gem, the joint birthday celebrations will be fun, and even better that neither of you has to drive. Have fun.

Oma, it's all birthday parties today! Enjoy Finley's party.

Plant, we have reclining chairs - having greater comfort makes sense, no matter what age you're at.

I've had a lovely morning opening birthday cards. I've decided to enjoy the birthday, and ignore the age thing! DS2 and family may come over this afternoon, and we're going to some friends for a drink this evening. They kindly invited us to dinner, but my appetite is very hit and miss at the moment, and I really didn't want her to go to that much trouble. It will be the first purely social thing we've done since I started treatment, and as they only live round the corner no travelling involved.
