It pouring with rain and very windy out this morning but I refuse to acknowledge it as I’m tired of winter so .. perhaps this will bring a little sunshine today.

It rained all night Nan2, but it has stopped now.

Plant and Mimi, we had a hardware store much as you describe, in our village. It was sorely missed once it closed down.

I went to bed at 9pm and had a much better night last night with no fevers, so I am feeling a lot better today. I still feel a bit washed out,but a big improvement on yesterday.

We have a free day today so I will probably do very little. I need to go the the post office, which was on my list for yesterday morning until I was struck down!

Sounds as if your body has fought off the virus Gemini. Hope the others are improving. I can't stop making soup, trying out new recipes, I have eight portions in the freezer at the moment.

Our hardware shop is a family business Gemini, father has sort of retired and son has taken over, long may it last.

It is horrible weather today, dark and pouring with rain, I want to go out later to collect a parcel from Waitrose, hope it improves.

Sounds yummy, my favourite is butternut squash, I also like celery and carrot and made tomato and red lentil recently, the ingredients must be on my low points list atm.

Quite pleasant here this morning, I am dog sitting Dexter this morning and we have been out in the garden, really nice in the sunshine. I actually did some weeding!

Had a lovely long phone call fromDH this morning, He is sounding so much more like his usual self and has actually been for a walk out of the ward with the physio, first time since he’s been in. So pleased he is at last beginning to feel much better.

I shouldn’t have said how nice it was....now it’s pouring with rain ☔️


Edited: Just heard from DGD, she is starting her travels in Oz and is at Ayers Rock, she is so excited. I’m sure she will have a fantastic time but that won’t stop us worrying about her.

Good morning ladies! I never got a chance to get back on here yesterday, so I've got a lot to catch up on later on - I've only just woken up!! I have definitely got a cough/cold! I don't feel particularly ill - certainly not setting the bed on fire like Gem and B - but enough for me to have a quietish day today. I really wanted to get quite a lot done, but it would be more sensible to take it easy. OH is much better, although he isn't up yet!
