Morning all frosty and chilly here today. Nothing planned except dog walking and maybe some ironing.

Sitting here having to watch a b........ pigeon demolish the fat balls I put out for the small birds, must go and frighten him/her off. Our local hardware shop is celebrating their 30th birthday, it is an amazing shop, I don't think there is anything they don't have and if they haven't got it they will get it for you. Father and son business and very knowledgeable helpful assistants. I might pop along, they have 30% off everything and I have a ticket for a lucky dip. Not sure about the parking and it isn't a very big shop, there is also a very nice coffee/tea shop next door. Can't go this morning as I am expecting a visitor this morning.

Good morning everyone. I was hoping to reply to posts on here but Cooper has woken up in chew mode and the only thing he wants to chew is the arm chair. I’ll get GD2 to get dressed and take them both over to our house and let Eva occupy Cooper. 😁

Cold and frosty here today. DD is home, had a nice chat with her yesterday but she is feeling a bit down this morning so is popping over for coffee later. Honestly, no matter how old our children are they still want their Mum.

Good morning everyone.

I have felt proper poorly since I last posted here!
Yesterday afternoon and evening I was really cold. I was wrapped in a fleecy blanket and still cold, while OH was sitting around in a T shirt. All night long I was burning up and hardly slept, and had a horrible headache. OH said when she woke in the night she thought I had put a hot water bottle into bed.
I feel a bit better now, having had a shower. I told DD1 that I can't look after GS1. I hate to let her down but it is a long drive when you are not feeling well and I don't want to pass it to GS. OH is playing golf, apart from a Tesco delivery this morning I can just take it easy.

I hope everyone else is doing well!

Not much on hear B sneezing his head off and burning up , so I have stripped all the bed's they in the washer ,
Ironed all the clean bedding and that's back on the beds , its a hard job always wears me out

Cleaned all downstairs, bedding changed,washed and on the line.
Off to clean bedrooms now.

Mince and onion in slow cooker,making cottage pies for the freezer.

Afternoon all
Plant we used to have a hardware shop that sold just about anything you could want, an Aladdin’s Cave of wonder. Sadly it went the same way as a lot of high street shops. Where it once stood is now Lakeland .
Gem are you feeling better, I think I had / have something similar to what you describe. On the whole I feel better as long as I don’t rush anywhere or else I end up panting.

OH is back in the garden this afternoon and I am just sat on the sofa watching what he is doing as I can’t summon up the enthusiasm to join him plus it’s too cold for me at the moment. I think I have turned to mesh!

Turned cooler now,but the washing dried in the sun. Just needed airing off.

Made 4 cottage pies for the freezer.

Another three succumbed to the dreaded lurgy, keep warm drink plenty, not much else you can do. Sending hugs.

It has been a sunny day here but cold, filled my car up with petrol for the first time, bit of a problem but with the help of a very nice young man I managed it. We have a parade of shops nowhere near the town or out of town shops, it has various shops, hairdressers, carpet shop, a very nice little cafe, fish and chips, florist, card and gift shop, butchers, charity shop, reasonably large Co-op, that does a great trade, the hardware shop has no competition and all the local people go there, it is an Aladdin's cave, they even sell everything for cake decoration and you can hire a special cake tin. It is not a very large shop. I bought a few bits 30% off everything and won some bird seed. they were raising money also for a local charity. It was their 30th birthday I should add.

Afternoon just made mushroom soup and can recommend it 🙂
Another one with a quiet day , clearing airing cupboard while OH strips the paper our order has come but will call and collect it when we have got the mess out of the way
Nan does one of those pies have my name on, we are having leg of lamb tonight roast potatoes veg and sticky toffee pud 👍🏻
