We had snow earlier,but it has turned to rain now.

It is snowing here and it is settling, just what I need, it needs to be gone tomorrow as I have to go to the garage tomorrow to sign some documents ready for the collection on Tues. It is raining now thank goodness.

I live reasonably close to Zizi, Mimi but I wouldn't fit into that outfit and I can't run.

What a day today, raining all day and very dark and dreary. My friend popped round this. Ironing with flowers and chocolate.....she knows me so well..... and an invitation to go round to them for tea tonight. People have been very kind and it will be nice to have some company tonight. Had a good visit with DH ... more on YEO, all looking good.

How are all the poorly OHs , feeling better I hope.

The snow turned to rain and sleet which are the conditions now. I think it will wash away the snow.
We went to see one of OH'golf friends and her husband. My OH had borrowed a motorised golf trolley for a competition and wanted to return it. We went this afternoon for chat and coffee. They live several miles away in a small village. The snow was very pretty as we drove along. OH drove, I would not have found it so pretty were I driving!

Afternoon friends and a cold one we had rain then snow the rain just slushy now, DD just taken g/d home been a bit of s long weekend but we can rest tomorrow.

We had 22 degrees today, but there was a wind. Sat by the pool this morning walked to a nearby beach for a nice lunch, then back to sit by the sea.

Avo - I'm not at all jealous! We could have done exactly the same here - there are plenty of pools (well, large puddles!), and we could have walked along the beach and sat by the sea. The only difference is it's been about 5C and tipping down with cold, wet rain all day! Enjoy it - and bring the sun back with you if possible, please.

Enfys - it's nice to get out and have a bit of company, especially just now.

Qwerty - enjoy putting your feet up tomorrow - you've earned it.

Gem - it's nice to see the snow and everywhere looking pretty - but not so much when you're the driver. Hope you enjoyed your roast chicken.

Plant - it's going to be about 8C for us tonight - warmer than it was today actually, so I'm sure the roads will be ok tomorrow.

Zizi - slow down, sunshine, and give yourself a break. I hate cold sores - the only thing that helps for me is Vaseline and I hate using it, but needs must! I hope your OH gets out of the bed on the other side tomorrow, or I'll have to come round and tickle him!

Thank you for all the kind queries about my poorly OH. He's slept most of today but I persuaded him to get up for dinner, and he's watching some horrible voilent thing on tv now - that'll cheer him up. He's not a great patient - but then I'm not a great nurse either!! Conversations have been along the lines of "Do you want a cup of tea?" "I don't know, it doesn't taste right. That filter thing in the kettle doesn't work." "No, it's not the filter. It tastes funny because you're not very well." "Oh". "So do you want tea or not?" No answer. I get half way downstairs. "No, but perhaps I'll have a hot blackcurrent." "What did you say, love?" "Can't shout". Me: (back upstairs) "Do you want tea then?" "No, I said I'll have a hot blackcurrent." To be fair, he doesn't look very well, but I'm hoping he gets a good night's sleep and feels a bit better tomorrow. Poor Eva has been so anxious all day. She knows something's wrong and she's spent most of the day on the landing - half way between OH and me. But she let off some tension with a good run round this afternoon. You can't explain to a dog that someone is ill.

Nan2, it is supposed to be milder here today too. Sun is forecast later. I hope it is right as last nights rain didn't shift the snow.

We may go to the cinema later as it is Monday, bargain day at Vue. I also need to go to the library bus and visit mum.
Tonight there are drinks in our local pub for A and J (whose wedding we went to in August) leaving. This time they will be visiting family in Spain and Amsterdam, then to some far flung place for honeymoon. From there to Fiji or wherever it will be this time (I have forgotten where) They worked away for many years and plan to again, no real plans to come back here to settle in the forseeable future, if ever. It has been so nice having A, who is like another daughter, living close. Even if I didn't see her as much as I would have liked, I knew she was here. I hate goodbyes so am in two minds about going tonight. We shall see.

Enfys - I hope your OH has had a better night. I'm sure he'll be delighted to see you when you visit.

It's milder here today - and it's not raining! There are still areas of our garden under water though.

I've just taken OH a cup of tea but he was asleep, so I don't know how he is really. I didn't hear him coughing in the night. Eva is still anxious, but managed to wolf down her breakfast!

Plant - I hope the roads are clear for you today.

Gem - A and J sound a very adventurous couple. I know what you mean about having someone close even if you don't see that much of them. She might be disappointed if you don't go tonight, but, yes, goodbyes are very hard.
