Frosty here this morning.
Tonight we are going out for a meal, a rather unusual one!
My DD3 and her OH, and DD's step mums son and his OH are doing a big and elaborate meal. This is instead of Christmas presents. so parents and siblings will be there. Over 14 people I think including my other 2 DDs and OHs.
They are good cooks, especially my SIL3, whose food is top restaurant quality. It will be a treat. We are looking forward to it. My ex OH and his wife are kindly allowing us to hold it at their house.
I hope everyone has a good day, and Mr Enfys is doing well,
- Morning Enfys, I didn't see you there

Morning ladies , Enfus how is hubby today ? have you phones the hospital yet ?
Gem that sounds a lovely meal planned , enjoy it xxx
Qwerty the right house will come along when the time is right ,
Been to the bank took ages , not that there was a big queue it was just the girl behind the desk was so slow , a snail could have gone quicker ,
She kept popping off to get stuff ,firstly a envelope to put the money in then needed someone to authorise it as it was over a certain amount , then the card machine played up so had to go get a form.
Only two windows open so couldn't even go to another cashier , never mind its done now
That sounds a lovely evening in store for you Gemini
Lovely graphic Enfys, lovely smiling faces.
Lunch out for me today with DD, Sil and his mother, plus I think GD1. We have to call at Stoke Mandeville hospital after lunch Sil's mother has an appt. to check her eye op. I might stay in the car, too many bugs in there.
What is life if full of care we have no time to stand and stare
Plant,Stoke Madeville hospital, now that brings back memories. It is where I did my SRN training.I can’t imagine how much it must have changed since I was there.
Enfys I hope you find your OH as well as he possibly can be and not in too much discomfort. Tell him we’re all sending our best wishes for a really speedy recovery.
Qwerty I’ve just read about your DD’s awful day. I bet she was glad to get back indoors before.anything else went wrong.
Ladies who are eating out today at some time I hope you have a lovely time.
Dull and drizzly here. I popped out on my own for a paper as G still not 100% but hopefully soon will be.
Unfortunately woke at 4am with painfull sinus problems. It's the right hand side up to now. 😠 The day with GD yesterday was lovely but tiring for me. We tend to go to Wildlife Park just down the road as it's flat & just the right distance for me to walk round. Nearly got to the end when bruddy sciatica struck. Think I'm needing a new body.😂
Plant, what eye op'n is your SIL's mum having? If you remember I was a regular visitor there. My surgeon was Mr Benjamin...he's brilliant. He was retiring shortly after my last op' so not sure if he's left. She'll be well cared for.
Hope you all enjoy your day. Hoping too that Mr Enfys is feeling ok.

I bit late getting here today! I'd only been logged in a few minutes when the doorbell rang, and it was our Allotment friend. At least he kept OH company for a few hours, but it put me all behind!!!
Nanto - at least you'd managed to get your stuff put away before your visitors arrived.
Nana - poor you, if it's not one part of your body biting back it's another. I hope you're feeling a bit better now.
Plant - I think you're very sensible waiting in the car.
Clover - it must have been a very interesting hospital to train in. My neighbour who went to Australia worked there for a few years as well.
Gem - what a great idea to do a special meal instead of giving presents. Unfortunately, my cooking skills aren't up to such lovely gestures. Have a wonderful time.
LG - Were you able to black this annoying person in with your car? It's so inconsiderate, and against the Highway Code. I've just looked it up - Section 243 "Do not stop or park ... in front of an entrance to a property."
Enfys - I love your happy Good Morning graphic. xx

Good evening ladies,just catching up.
Qwerty poor GD,hope she feels better soon.Dentists Ugh.
Clover I hope your H is better today and his tummy is settling.
Enyfs all best wished to your husband.
ZIZI re your post about living by schools/airports etc.All well and good until someone actually parks over your driveway as someone did to me today, then it is very annoying.I had been to the nail salon and on my return found someone parked over my drive,so I couldn't get in.It is pick up time from the school, but I find it very inconsiderate to park over my driveway.
LIbra we frequently have taxi drivers parked outside our house wiItng for planes to land. The drivers eat and chuck their rubbish out of the windows, sometimes they pee in bottles and chuck them over the garden fence, we have also experienced drivers being blocked in or coming back and finding so many cars that there is nowhere to park outside the house which is annoying as ours is a shared drive with the other flat owners and although I do have an off road car parking space it isn’t very convenient when you have a load of shopping to lug about. My neighbour found a taxi driver squatting to toilet himself in her garden last summer. Pick up time from schools is a big bugbear everywhere these days isn’t it. The three primaries around here are all in densely residential areas and there are complaints and arguments about it all the time. Fortunately we don’t live close enough to a school for it to affect us which gives us the problem of the taxi drivers.
Enfys haven’t read your post yet but gather it is good news. Very pleased for you.
