My GD1 is absolutely thrilled, GS1 and his partner due to be married in April have asked her to be a witness at their wedding. Her mother said she should start practising.

Not at all over the top Mimi

Plant, how lovely for your GD

Glad to hear MIL is OK and happy Nan2.

We are in our hotel room. I had a nice surprise as I knew I had booked a superior room with breakfast on the January deal, but didn't realise it included dinner! I had forgotten what I booked. Only wine to pay for tonight then

Gem - I hope you're enjoying your night 'off'. A nice treat at this time of year.

Avo - If I remember rightly you actually fly off tomorrow so here's wishing you a good flight and lots of sunshine when you get there.

Mimi - Ladies' Day at the races should be fun. Definitely go for comfortable shoes - I should think you will have to walk on grass at some stage and you don't want to be walking away and leaving your Jimmy Choos in 6" of mud!!!I used to love going to the races - but mostly point-to-point and it's usually cold, wet and very muddy! LOL

Enfys - I hpe the fresh air will help you get a good night's sleep tonight. I would have liked to do a bit of sweeping up today - there is a lot of moss on the patio - but as always things didn't quite go to plan. We got back from walking Eva just before lunch, so OH made us a sandwich while I sorted out the washing, and after lunch we were both really tired and just sat in front of the tv, not really watching it. By the time I came to it had gone very cold and I'd gone off the idea, then a neighbour popped round and we sat and chatted over a cuppa for an hour or so, and by then it was dark! That's my excuse, anyway!

Nanto - how was your MIL?

Happily tired after having GS1 for a sleepover last night. Thrilled he's his old self with us. Nighty night.

                    Good morning all.
I haven’t looked out of the window yet as it’s still dark but I can hear the rain beating down so looks like another dull day weather wise. Hopefully it will improve later as I have an appointment at the hairdressers but thankfully I don’t have far to go, it’s just a the bottom of the hill from where I live, it’s getting back up again that is the problem!

Hope evryone one is in fine fettle this morning

Bring me sunshine in your smile.

                          Good morning all.

Nana, good to hear you had a good sleepover with GS.

Raining here in Harrogate too. We planned to go to Knaresborough for a walk round on the way home, but maybe not if this rain continues!
Just enjoying a cuppa in bed before getting ready to go down to breakfast.
Later I will collect my mums library audio books, and take them to her.
                          Have a good day everyone.

Pouring with rain and windy here. Had another restless night, too much on my mind I guess.

I have my art group this morning but going to give it a miss, we’re both keeping away from people this week.... I’m paranoid about DH getting a cold and not being able to have the op! Silly I know but really don’t want anything else to go wrong, He, of course, is his usual laid back self......so laid back he’s horizontal 🤗

Good morning everyone. It's wet and windy here, too, and still quite dark. I missed my chance to sweep up all the moss and grot off the patio - it's now under water!

Gem - I'm sorry I missed your post about dinner last night - but what a lovely surprise. It does you the world of good to have a little break from routine sometimes.

Enfys - I don't blame you for trying to avoid people this week. I would be the same, especially with so many bugs about. Perhaps you could do a bit of art on your own this morning to take your mind off things. xx

Mimi - I hope the rain stops before you come out of the hairdressers!

I've got a busy week this week, so I'm going to spend this morning lining all my ducks up in a row. It's busy but nice - GD2 this afternoon. GD2 and puppy all day tomorrow, plus dog training. Out for coffee and lunch with OH and friends on Wednesday, out for lunch on Thursday with other friends. I'm also having my car valeted on Thursday. This is the car I don't much love, but it's never had a proper clean and I'm hoping I might love it a bit more if it's all nice and shiny.

Nana - have a lovely day with DD - but don't go overdoing things.

Plant - how lovely that GS1 has invited GD to be a witness. No wonder she's excited.
