Clover, how is your OH? Much better I hope. An afternoon with your book after work seems a good idea

Off to wake poor little GS from his nap soon, to go on the school run.
    Bye for now.

It really does beat me when people move next to a school, airport, busy road, church and then complain about noise. If you don’t like the noise just don’t bruddy move there! When I was working on secondment in Wandsworth they complained like mad about the aircraft noise when in fact you could hardly hear it.

Thanks WG, unfortunately she is not, so would need a lot of adjustments at home and a stair lift, which she had an estimate for nearly £5000 because her stair way has a few bends, so she doesn't want that, but after 2 days of trying to speak to someone, I have finally heard from them they have sent us a number so she can now look at houses and I have to ring her Social Worker Monday, so a few nagging phone calls I have some sort of result.. she is home Wednesday, she has been away from home nearly 3 months so a big adjustment again....x

Gem thanks for asking about G. Fingers crossed he is feeling a bit better. His cough has lessened and he’s eating a bit more.Don’t want to cross my bridges as I’ve heard tales of relapses but hopefully going in the right direction now.

I did get to read a bit of my book but the sleep fairy visited and put me under her spell.

I was walking round Sainsburys today wondering about Enfys' OH and how things were going. Goodness knows what went into my trolley. I love Plant's thought of a big circle. xx

Pearl - that sounds like progress. You may have to keep on asking, reminding them etc, but it's a first step. I do hope they can sort it out soon for her. My mum lived in a sheltered flat for the last 5 years of her life. The Warden lived in the building and every morning each tenant was contacted to check they were ok, and there was a good social life too. She had lived with us previously but when we moved to the New Forest she didn't like it - too rural for her - and she was frightened to go out because of the ponies etc, but she loved her little flat and always made it look nice.

Gem - I hope GS2 wasn't cranky after being woken up.

Clover - I think you've earned an afternoon with a good book. The bad thing about a really good book is getting to the end. I always feel a bit 'lost' - until I get into the next one.

Afternoon just ! It’s been a funny old day, went food shopping and to see a bungalow, nice spot but very twee needs a new bathroom , kitchen and loads of decorating, a conservatory and some outbuildings pulling down so not for us
DD has had a naff day ,Friday is her day off so does her cleaning and gets her shopping delivered , she stepped out this morning to take g/d to school and it was one sheet of black ice of course OH is in Portugal 😏 so she had to try and put some rock salt down as car was skidding on the drive this was in her jamas eventually she managed to get off the drive. G/d has some yellow pus like spots on her gums for a couple of days she has been gargling salt water and Cordosyl but it was getting worse so she had an appointment with the dentist at lunchtime, so brought her out of school only to find the dentist said she had to have 2 extractions of her baby double teeth , you may R.E.M. ember she had one taken out the other week and screamed the place down, he said it could take weeks before he had time to sedate her but could take them out today, she wasn’t happy but mum insisted it was done today so jel to numb before the 2 injections and they were out phew. She got back to the car to find she couldn’t get into the car as the battery had gone on her key fob, my phone was busier than a telephone exchange , she was near a Ford garage so walked with crying child and asked if they could put a new battery in bearing in mind she paid £20,000 a year ago for the car and they wanted £15 to put a new one in aaagghh , he said the battery would be £5 so DD asked how long it would take he said 30 seconds , so the 30 seconds would cost £10 ,she told him to stick it where the sun don’t shine my DD isnt slow at coming forward. She told him she would buy one elsewhere he said be careful as you are only allowed 30 seconds before it cancels all your computer system in the car and then it would cost £95 to set it up again . Anyway when she tried the car again it worked so she went home and got the spare key too late to get g/d to school so she gave up and went home to await shopping arrival
Hope all sick folk are feeling better especially Mr Enfys .
should the weather be kind tomorrow we are going to localish shopping mall, we bought g/d a buildabear voucher for Xmas and we are going to build it tomorrow and maybe McDonald’s think she will manage to eat by then , she is back to us then for a sleepover and mummy a well earned rest , have a good evening everyone Enfys a drop of the old sherry is called for !

GS wasn't too pleased to be woken, he was deeply asleep all snuggled up with teddy, bless him.He has been a very good boy all day. Daddy has taken them both home , so feet up with a cuppa now. Even good 22 month olds are hard work

I hope Mr Enfys has had his surgery now.

Qwerty - what a day for your DD and GD. I do hope GD is ok for tomorrow and can manage her McDonalds. I also hope it doesn't put her off the dentists for life. Why are teeth always such a problem -even for puppies, it seems!) What a pity the bungalow needed so much doing to it. Still, the perfect pad is out there somewhere - keep searching.

Gem - poor little lad. I wouldn't want to be woken from a nice cosy sleep either. They are certainly exhausting at that age!

Enfys - I think all our GRU grannies heaved a collective sigh of relief to hear your news this afternoon. I certainly think a small sherry is called for. xx

Oma - I agree about the garages - OH has had an horrendous bill today for two new tyres, and something to do with the brakes. I haven't had time yet to talk to him about what was needed. We really didn't think there was a problem - just a routine service, otherwise we wouldn't have taken it to that garage which we know if a rip off but is very convenient.

Enyfs all best wished to your husband.
ZIZI re your post about living by schools/airports etc.All well and good until someone actually parks over your driveway as someone did to me today, then it is very annoying.I had been to the nail salon and on my return found someone parked over my drive,so I couldn't get in.It is pick up time from the school, but I find it very inconsiderate to park over my driveway.
